Books need like... The tags we put on fanfics. A subversive masterpiece? Damnit, tell me something useful. How violent does this get? Is it a sadness exercise? On a scale of "friendship is magic" to "Edgy McEdgelord" where does this book fall? Is there a redemption arc? I'm a sucker for a good redemption arc.

I said this once to a friend because it’s like hello I would like to know before I start reading if a major character is going to die. Like I’m still gonna read it if they will but I’ll save it for an angsty mood. BUT LIKE NO IT’S JUST A SURPRISE. I haven’t read a real book in like 4 years because I just have a million ao3 tabs open but like… how did I function before that? How did a pick up a book and just not have a general idea of the tone and stuff? How have normal books survived without tagging? Why have they survived without tagging???

@@lisahenry20 You don't even have to go that far. You can keep the books sorted as they have been, and have a computer search system sort them by tags and list where you'll find them. This requires very little change to what's already in place.

@Royally blue! the back of most books are pretty dogshit. Got a few quotes and like a general synopsis. Which yeah works to get me hooked but tags tell you like tone, level of angst/fluff stuff like that.

"You are always going to be mentally ill" is definitely not "you are always going to be unhappy" I got that adhd and life is a BLAST! Everything is more difficult until I start working to frame in adhd friendly ways. I am not broken, just specked into a different part of the mental skill tree.

About the bees, I think people call 'em male and female because the "female" bees (when in the fertile queen state, but workers have the same chromosomal configuration) have eggs and the "male" bees can fertilize those eggs. It's a loose parallel, but it's not like the terms are arbitrarily chosen out of nowhere because human projection.

20:00 Well, "Mountain Dew" was another way to refer to moonshine, as many of the places that made it were in the mountains, away from towns. The original Mountain Dew was, before it was a soda, a syrup you could add to moonshine to make it taste different.

Everyone arrived pretty early in the morning and we gathered some mineral dust with a plastic bag at a bright cave. That was the mountain dew. I think it would be funny if for the next Binge Compilation, when you're doing "It's a bIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII..." and instead of finishing it off, you just hold the "iiiiiiiiiiiiii" uncomfortably long and then just start. The "You complaining about the little man and his bagel" sound EXACTLY like JonTron, and it really threw me off for a moment. I don't know why, but my first read of the situation was that PM had hired Jontron as a guest voice for the video and simply not told us or credited him anywhere.
