Using a disc with a John Deere 3025D. I used 2nd gear high range to pull it. I am loading this one in 1080 instead of 4K to see if it loads faster hopefully the quality is still good.

I just ordered the 3043D. I like gear simple tractor.

That must have been at 3 or 4 speed in the begining, shur sounded like a 6 cylinder 2-stroke Detroit with a 671 super charger, but then again you have a "Real" John Deere. Liked when you hit the after-burner and finialy hit "wide open". I guess this is what a "Real" gear tractor can do!!

Have the same exact tractor. Absolutely love it. I was going to get a tiller, but I think you've sold me on the disc and plow method. Did your machine have any trouble pulling the two bottom? I was going to go single until I saw your video.

It depends on the soil you are in. I wasn’t running out of power, I was loosing traction (wheel spin). I was able to pull that one about 6” deep. With a single I think you could pull it faster or deeper. I’m just doing food plots and 6” is deep enough for me.

How well do you think the disk and ow method will work on rocky mountain soil vs. a tiller

I went and looked at some pics from central Colorado from the past fall to jog my memory of some of the terrain. I think it would work depending on your location. The nice thing about the disc is it will roll over or move the rocks. The tiller will bounce around and beat up the tractor, tiller and operator. As far as the ploughing, you can ploughing shallow at first then go back over it. If the ground isn’t packed real hard you could use a cultivator then disc. I will have a video coming out shortly on using one of them and a new disc. Hopefully this will help you out.

@@rsmstuff3178 thanks for your reply. I'm about to buy an implement because these ozarks are going to be the death of me and my shovel

@@tonjabock3289 I don’t know if this is a possibility or not but is there a place you could rent an implement before purchasing one. If it is an option then you try before you buy.

3025D is roughly same weight as 8N Ford and more horsepower. Look like it is doing what it is designed for. R1 tire would be better. Keep videos of the 3025D coming.
