Hi Keltie, this is one of my favourite types of videos you have done. I think there is a sense of mystery when it comes to the way people live. Like (is everyone buying into the newest fitness trend)? What does the average joe on the street do? . Keep making these. Its fascinating. Maybe try some different cities when you have a chance. It would be interesting to see the differences between cities.

As a rural US citizen I can't relate to any of this 😂. There are places where you can literally walk everywhere!? WILD! I am surrounded by nothing, the nearest commercial store is 2 hours away.

Super interesting video! I had no idea Vancouver was so healthy but I guess when you’re in the ‘the thick of it’ and it’s so embedded into the culture, you don’t see it. I think it’s the weather and also our accessibility to so many beautiful outdoor activities (hiking, skiing/snowboarding, rowing/water sports, climbing) etc. Also appreciate how nervous you were to approach and inconvenience people - honestly, so relatable lol and very Canadian.

Keltie, this was a great video! I loved your way of doing it (inviting people to come over to you as opposed to approaching them first). It was super respectful and I enjoyed seeing people's take on fitness in Vancouver. You spoke about how different the lifestyle is there compared to Toronto, and I believe TO's lifestyle is similar to Montreal's, where I am from. Anyways, I enjoyed it and I hope you do more of these :)

Vancouver is very expensive, so I think many of the people who can afford to live in the city, can also pay a premium for health. Notice the guy who was overweight also said he was broke. Thats not a coincidence IMO

Oh wow! I've been watching you for close to a year (because I love fitness) and fancy seeing a fellow Malaysian on the screen, outside Equinox no less (I'm a Malaysian residing in Singapore, though)! hii :)) just wanted to drop in and say i loved your video. i live in the lower mainland and although im not in the downtown area too often, the fitness culture is still very apparent to me and it was interesting to learn about it through the perspective of the average person and not just fitness gurus (not that I have anything against them, just that it can get confusing when there are so many competing schools of thought and trends, some of which aren’t necessarily achievable/sustainable for many). Really liked how people gave authentic answers that reflected their personal experiences instead of saying there is only one method to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Pls do more of these videos!

That would be really interesting to see Edmontons responses. I lived in Calgary and when it’s winter for 7 months of the year and you don’t like skiing, snowboarding etc it was hard to stay active. I live in Kelowna now and I absolutely love it.

Keltie I totally dig this. I just moved from Phoenix Arizona to flagstaff Arizona for grad school and the environment is so walkable. And just like you said the “things to do here” are active and outdoors!:) I personally love it but then again I am going to grad school for physical therapy 😝💪🏼 Also in flagstaff there’s a ton of dogs!

The only American blue zones are Loma Linda, California and Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica. Their absence from that list makes me curious about its standards. That said, blue zone data fits the Vancouver lifestyle you described: plant-centric diet, daily physical activity, etc.
