You and I are going to drink a lot of coffee together. Like, borderline dangerous amounts of coffee.
So, first things first. Pour yourself a mug and I’ll introduce myself real quick.
My name’s Jordan - but everyone calls me “J” - and I’m a 27th degree black belt in chugging coffee.
I’m also strength & nutrition coach, I hold several powerlifting world records, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have my writing featured in a variety of outlets like CNN, the Huffington Post, and Schwarzenegger.com.
But listen.
This channel isn’t for fame, publicity, cash, props, fist bumps, likes, pings, pows or whatever else there is.
It’s a place where you and I can chat.
I’ll never sugar coat, lie, or beat around the bush. I’ll tell you everything exactly as I see it. Some stuff you might like. Others you might not.
And that’s totally cool.
Either way, my goal here is to create a discussion. A place where you and I can get together, exchange ideas, and motivate each other to be better every day.
Like I said, we’re gonna drink a lot of coffee together - borderline dangerous amounts - but I’m excited. Because there aren’t too many online communities in which the sole purpose is to inspire and motivate one another.
And that’s exactly what you and I are going to do here.
To your success,
-J

Someone once said that the Kardashians always post the craziest, most terrible, nonsensical workouts that it is almost certainly rage bait. These women have THOUSANDS to spend on trainers and THESE are the exercises they’re doing? Make it make sense.

Jordan, I just have to let you know that you are the goat! Background story, I have been a personal trainer for over 10 years now. In the past I didn't take eating very seriously & never really counted my own calories. I am petite & was blessed just to be naturally in shape my whole life. (Previous professional dancer) anyways, 4 years ago I gained so much weight from my pregnancy. I used your calorie calculator & I sticked to it. I lost over 50lbs & here I am years later still maintaining my weight & I feel better than ever. Thank you for sharing so much information.

There is a lady at the gym I go to and her trainer trains her this way. It seems the focus is more on fast movements and burning calories. I choose to focus on slow controlled progressive weight training. I am 63 and my vision/goal is muscles! Hope to continue my journey and transform my body one step at at a time. I love watching you and believe in your ideas! Thanks Jordan!

Many clients feel they should be training at 100 mph and sweating the whole time, or they aren’t working. Like Jordan said, they then become fatigued and they are not making the progress they COULD be making if they did traditional weight training. This is “more fun.” (I’ve seen it a million times!!!)

You absolutely don’t know that. She has been thin and working on her fitness for many years. I just don’t see how it’s helpful to tear her down or any woman by making the assumption that they are on ozempic. I never see anyone accuse men online of being on ozempic if they are thin and fit.

@@mlgallagher1 I am DEAD. 💀 You are not looking at the right channels. Go onto the Mr Beast weight loss video. Millions of people calling him out. No one is tearing her down because she is a woman. She is being torn down because she is a hypocrite baby mama that pushes women to be their “best selves” but it is just to mask to sell you stuff. Literally Kanye spilled all the T about the family’s prolific use of Ozempic and how they waste all the food because they don’t eat and are all always pooping. LIKE ALL DAY LONG POOPS.

I was thinking they were sped up, but I guess that’s the style. There are some peloton trainers that do a lot of plyo in their strength workouts and I always feel like they should be separated out. I don’t like plyo or EMOM work because I feel like it sacrifices form for speed. Thanks as always for the breakdown.

Don’t come at me, but I’ve watched their show(s) for years. It’s my guilty pleasure - truly mindless tv. 🙈 Since Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney started working out several years ago, I’ve noticed they all seem to lean heavily on HIIT, conditioning, + plyo (w/ a side of lipo and BBL 😝). Not that those are bad, but I can def see how you could sustain more injuries if you’re not taking the time to build the muscle needed to perform the moves properly. Thx for breaking this down, Jordan! I always enjoy watching this type of video from you. Well, anything you put out, really. 😉
@TheCdean94
@TheCdean94 20 күн бұрын
I have noticed that too. They focus on endurance/cardio type of workouts & and honestly, to build muscle in the glutes or anywhere on the body... you have to lift! Takes a ton of strength training to put on that size along with nutrition. They didn't get those butt's in the gym as you know 😅 but for younger audiences out there, they can easily believe you need to do that type of workout to achieve that body.

Hopefully someone who cares for her will get this to her so she can listen to what he says and she can get in touch with him for some referrals to a trainer that will actually get the the results she wants.. she clearly works so hard.

Hi Jordan! I view this training as purely muscular endurance/conditioning, so I am wondering if someone can maintain or build strength over time this way. Does this type of workout have a place in someone’s overall routine if they want to improve their athleticism and cardiovascular health? It seems that this style of training is the stereotypical “I don’t want to get bulky so I’ll train like an athlete” scenario.

I'm convinced a real workout plan is boring. It's not flashy. You wont get a lot of views with doing deadlifts and squats over and over. But cool, weird, dangerous, unusual workouts get a lot of attention. If likes and comments equals money, the platform is going to breed dangerous attention grabbing techniques. I'm just waiting for the day when someone gets hurt from watching a youtuber, then sues the youtuber, and then all the fake fitness channels pumping out garbage start slowly getting deleted out of fear.

I think they tailor their workouts to avoid the “fear” of bulking so it’s primarily conditioning and cardio. Which is why you never see true muscle definition on their bodies despite them posting their workouts daily. This was Khloe’s old trainer and this was from a long time ago. Her body looks different now thanks to Ozempic.

Jordan--I wonder if her trainer did the workout this way because she wasn't able to workout for a couple months so he was concentrating on conditioning and not strength? I think she said it was Tristan, her baby daddy, in that workout w her. If I’m not mistaken it’s a shoulder injury she is coming back from? I’ve seen a few of her workouts listed out and her trainer often has her do short stints of cardio, like 2 mins of rowing in between strength stuff I remember thinking dang that’s a bunch of rowing in between sets!. I totally see what you’re saying about some of the exercise choices. I also think, this girls body has come a long ways. Even though some of these choices seem useless, heck, she looks phenomenal, she is strong and capable, something is working, right? And of course we don’t see all of what she’s doing.
