It really can't. Ai still cannot take direct feedback, most of it still struggles with actual words and more importantly most people don't understand how to make it work. Your best bet is to learn how to use it. From a fellow graphic designer who still has their job.

As an artist let me just say AI art is terrifying fron an economic standpoint, though now ai art is only able to roughly replicate certain styles, in a few years it could replicate almost every artstyle, putting thousands of artists out of jobs, putting years of effort, practice, and talent into the trash can. Another reason why it's terrible is to learn to make art, it needs references, usually stolen. In the cases of ones that replicate anime styles a lot of times you will see a mixed up blob in the corner, from the combined artists pitiful attempts to watermark it so it wont be stolen. AI art is terrifying and I don't think people should be "pro AI art". AI art is not art.

Can you explain how it's any different from people looking at other paintings and studying them for their use of technique, pallet and style? Artists aren't winning a lot of those cases.

@@inviktus1983I feel like I can… You’re right, except for a crucial detail - an AI bot didn’t decide to create that dataset and start making art. A company took intellectual property without consent, loaded it into a spreadsheet and then created the AI bot specifically to recreate those styles. It was a bold move by them, but ultimately it’s a copyright issue, they took other people’s intellectual property illegally in order to profit from it. In all other aspects however, I agree with you. My mind might change but as of now, I think AI art is procedurally achieved in the same way that human art is.

Content generators are purpose built buy and for those exact capitalists which is why we hear so much more of those scummy stories advertising how easy it will be to generate and monetise content rather than people actually using the tech for good like the kinds kurtis mentioned in the video (medicine, infrastructure and the like).

@sirius1696 nah nah, you misunderstood. I said specifically AI generated content not AI tools like the greenscreen tool kurtis used in the video. I refer specifically to using AI as a replacement for art like the AI generated artwork in late night with the devil. They could have easily used stock images or even hired an artist but chose to use AI generated images that look awful and stole from several sources

I beleive what makes art is the emotion put into the art. The time and honest feelings put into the art are what make it art. It means something to the person who made the art. Something always deeper than what anyone could probably guess.

Its influenced by their life, their mood, their personality, the message they want to convey, every decision they made in every brush stroke they put down, so to speak. Thats why a human getting reference and inspiration in what to create isnt the same as an AI taking hundreds of thousands of images from its dataset and essentially mashing them together, to put it simply.

After seeing the AI quote generator I knew I had to try it out. My favorite quote I got has to be “Fun Fact: being a clown can be a victory” over the image of a lady reading in a grassy meadow. Runner ups are an image of a starry sky with the words “YOU MUST SHOUT” and a photo of a boy walking his dog with “Defeat earth”

15:18 This is called “long exposure. Basically you let it pick up a ton of light and it leaves behind trails of where it’s been. The same technique is used for pictures of the night sky where the stars all look like streaks. Also used for those pictures of the highway where all the lights extend.
