I hope y'all enjoyed this trip down memory lane and looking at what stretching was like for me! If I'm being honest, after years at my goal size I actually kinda miss stretching. There was something about the process and the experience, slowly going larger and always having a new size to look forward to that I really really enjoyed. In the moment of course I was always just impatiently ready for that next stretch. I wish I had slowed down even more and enjoyed the journey and the process. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

Thanks for sharing and being vulnerable. I’ll confess I had been curious about your ears. I think it’s so easy for people to see your scarring and assume that it’s the result of a blowout or carelessness. Nice to see it “normalized” in a sense since I think so many of us have these Claire’s/Piercing Pagoda piercings. I had no idea this was a possibility even with safe stretching. It’s been something I’ve been paranoid about now that I’m getting closer to my goal.

Thank you for sharing this with us and for being vulnerable and open about your journey! I started stretched my ears almost 4 years ago and I am now at a 9mm (00g) which was my goal size. But not after really thinking about it I want to go to a 1/2 now… lol we’ll see if I end up want to go even bigger down the road. I can’t remember if you have done a video on your stacked septum and how that was like for you? I have been thinking about stacking my septum and would love to learn more about it! Also would totally love to watch a video about your journey of stretching your tongue! 😊💕

I had a keloid due to a piercing gun. I finally got it removed and began stretching. I have a flap of skin like yours and it makes me feel self conscious. Seeing you talk about this gave me a bit of reassurance. I'm at 7/8 and when I hit 1in that's gonna be it (so I say)

These flaps can totally happen from scarring and issues very early on. Often that we’re out of our control if we were pierced young. It happens, but it’s way more important that our lobes are happy and healthy. I love my lobes- flaps and all. 🥰

I just started stretching last year. I'm holding steady at 10g at the moment because I need to get my lobes checked to make sure they're not crooked (your experience coming in clutch for a client; I didn't even think of having them checked until you mentioned it in a TikTok). Mine were done with a gun too and they healed horribly. I wouldn't be surprised if I had some scar tissue there. Thank you so much for sharing your stretching journey! I initially wanted my goal size to be OOg, then 1/2 inch, now I want it to be an inch. We'll see if I get to any of those sizes/if I want to stop when I get there. Thank you so much for the photos and the timeline. I was always wondering how long it should take for me to get to my goal size and approximately what they would look like when they get there.

I absolutely love your stretching videos♡! recently decided that I wanted to go up to 30mm (used to be at 22mm), soon I came to the conclusion that I would not be able to stretch safely any further from this point on, and that I was in fact the most impatient I could have been and almost risked my lobe tearing to the point of thinning so much they might have ripped, without realizing. So instead of immediately going to my next size, I am now downsizing, thanks to you^^. It has only been a week of no plugs and daily massages with oil, and they look and feel so much better already! I am very excited to see how they are doing in three months ^^ thank you♡

I love this video! I'm with you, I've always been into piercings but didn't decide to stretch my ears until last year (age 24) 😆 and now I'm at a 4g and don't even know what size I'm going to stop at. Maybe 20 mm. Also, after I started watching you tik toks, I stopped using my tapers and started dead stretching and I haven't gotten another blowout since. It takes a little longer but each new slide just slides in like butter now

Last year I was stretching and got up to a 0g and had a lot of trouble going up to a 00g, so I kinda just stopped. But I was also doing it too quickly and I'm so grateful I never had a blowout. But I started again this year, my ears had shrunk back down to about an 8g and I'm taking it much slower and using oils and balms to help! Also I now know about in between sizes so going from 2g to 0g will be easier!

I started stretching my ears at 32, so way later than most. I'll be 35 in less than a month and I'm about to be at an inch. I would have been at an inch a long time ago, but i messed up my right ear when i fell at work and almost ruined it. My goal size is the same as yours 38mm. If i can't get that big then i would be satisfied with 32mm.

I would love to see some stretching guides or a stretching journey for high lobes too. I just started to stretch my 4. lobe. It‘s at the edge of the cartilage, like touching the cartilage but not going through it. I’m using glass plugs, no tapers and the first stretch from 1,2mm to 1,6mm was easy. But now I’m having trouble to get to 2mm. Since this is my first try on stretching I have nothing to compare and stretching guides allways refer to first lobes. It would be amazing to have some information about the differences in stretching a high lobe near the cartilage in comparison to a first lobe. Just to be sure I‘m still on the right track.

I'm encasing tritium vials in a 36mm clear acrylic plug, drilling 3mm holes into the side, inserting the tubes and sealing with resin- not for daily wear, but I think the bright pink and blue glow should look cool, clear doesn't have to be boring. Tritium decays by beta emission so the plug should stop the particles so I'm not irradiating my ear lobes and if worn on special occasions I don't imagine it poses a threat, I have seen tritium used in jewellery before, just not in plugs: watches, pendants, dangly earrings- why not plugs?

I would be interested to see a video or your recommendations on someone who did stretch awful when they started, especially if their lobes are larger and won’t really shrink. I’d love to go larger but I don’t think I can due to condition of my lobes but do not know what to do and I know a lot of people my age (I think also around your age too) are in this situation. I also am happy you are promoting no shame for blow outs and scarring. I have both and my ears are uneven, and I’m coming to accept it. I just can’t accept the fact I cannot go larger as far as I know.

Firstly, thank you for such a great video! It's so inspiring seeing other people's healthy stretching journeys. I started stretching my lobe recently after I had it pierced at 18g about 8 months ago and I'm at 12g/2mm at the moment. I'm deadstretching but I've noticed my lobe is super loose and has allowed sizes up super quickly (I honestly think it would allow a stretch within a week, but I am trying to wait at least 4 between stretches). Never had pain, redness or inflammation during or after stretches and after a week with the next size plug in I can pull on it, easily take the plug out for showers etc. The skin around the piercing is healed with no scarring or tears but I'm still suspicious of how quickly the early sizes seem to be going. Is this normal for smaller sizes/related to general skin elasticity or is it something to be concerned about? It would just be great to hear the opinion of a reputable piercer who's been through their ear stretching journey too, just to know if I'm doing things right or if I should slow down my stretches or if I can speed it up a little. NOTE: I am using steel plugs but they aren't that heavy. I'm not sure if the weight could be helping with making them loose so quickly?

I know folks with EDS have ears that like to stretch fast because they have stretchy skin in general, perhaps you have other symptoms that line up with EDS and that would explain the ears?
@finley3193
@finley3193 2 жыл бұрын
@@alexandrarunnels4854 I wasn't sure if stretching quickly was a sign of EDS because it's something I've researched in the past because of other symptoms. I'm not sure if it lines up with me personally though because I also heal extremely quickly with piercings and wounds in general but it's definitely something I'll start a conversation with my family doctor about. Thanks for the advice!

I've had stretched ears for 12 years and I wouldn't get rid of them for the world. I'm currently at an inch, and I'd love to be at 38mm, but I just have wayyy too many plugs at my current size of 25 - 26mm, I mean I have frkn Mammoth Tusk Bone Plugs, I have Wasp plugs, So many stones including my personal favorite Tourmulated Quartz, and the issue with plugs at my goal size is either A.) Some stones don't come in big enough slabs to make that size or B.) To reobtain some of the plugs I have would be madd expensive. I'd also like to point out to people, blowouts sometimes happen at a bigger size from putting plugs in an out. I never had a blowout and just got a lip last year, not big enough for anyone to really notice, but it came just cus of time passing by after wearing jewelry, as I get older I'll have to get them fixed, but we'll see, depends on if I eventually make enough money to stretch to that 38mm size I'd like.

Being that i was a baby my ears are not perfectly symmetrical on both sides. One ear was closer to the bottom of my lobe. It didn’t seem too bad but when i massage them i can feel the difference in location. I was wondering before I get too far in my stretching journey if my lobe with the lower hole would cause issues with my stretching?

I’m currently stretching my ears. I’m at 6mm with a goal of 13mm. I have one lobe that stretches much much easier than the other. Has anyone else ever experienced that? And if so, does anyone have tips to help the other feel less tight?

Yeah pretty much one ear will always stretch easier than the other.

Out of curiosity, what made you decide to not just get the extra scar tissue removed?

By the time it really started effecting things the removal would have cost me a lot of size and a lot of the thickness of my lobes. My lobes are very thick and able to easily wear super heavy weights. I didn’t want to give that up!

I have my ears at 25mm currently but I'm thinking about going to 30mm or two inches. I just worry I have to sell my cute jewelry :( Edit: I started my stretching again and I'm going to 32mm :)

I was originally just going to go to 00g, currently I am at 1g and after I started getting bigger I’ve decided 1/2” is my goal. That is until I get there and I decide to go bigger. 😂

A safe method of stretching that allows the lobes to naturally loosen with time. I have a video and tutorial all about it on my page. 🥰
