I watch a lot of body cam videos and this one was way worse than most. His pants being unbuttoned, the children in the van, and his voice. The dad from Oregon who drugged his daughter’s friends at a sleep over and this are two of the creepiest things I have seen recently. Off the grandma was knowingly letting her grandchildren hang out with an adult she should also be prosecuted.

All of the ppl asking where are the parents- predators purposely target vulnerable young people without a support system. Not everyone is privileged enough to have a safe, protective family. Also, predators know how to play people. Speaking as someone whose sex trafficker met my parents, groomers and abusers are very charismatic and know how to handle those who may question their intentions.

i almost got kidnapped when i was in 7th grade on my way to the bus stop. it was dark, i was alone, and he’d been watching my house for a couple months (tagged my side car with a zip tie to mark me as a vulnerable target). it’s incredibly easy to snatch kids up when they don’t have an adult around to protect them.

You clearly do not understand the situation at all. Of course the officer is doing it that way because he is intelligent. He knows he is not going to get adequate evidence right on scene to arrest for concerns he has about the children, but if he has probable cause to arrest on a DUI, he can keep the man detained while they can investigate what was going on with the children. I was a prosecutor for 12 years. If an officer didn't approach the situation like that, we would think he was incompetent and braindead.
