Thank you for the teaching. It was easier than I thought. My M 18 fuel half-inch drive impact seem to have got some trash in the rotary blades in the back of the unit. The noise it made sounded like this unit was done. Thank you again for the tutorial.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Question for Milwaukee specialists: I have a Milwaukee M18 FMTIW2F12 that has an interesting bug. When I press the switch, the machine spins and diode number 3 (third gear) lights up for a long time. Only when the diode turns off is it possible to change the direction of rotation and start again. In addition, the maximum speed (diode number 3) cannot be changed. In order for it to work at all and not to wait for diode number 3 to go out, I remove and put back the battery. That means to change the wheels on a car that has 5 screws, I have to remove and put back the battery 10 times. Once I press the switch, I must not stop until the job is done, otherwise there will be a long pause or re-inserting and removing the battery. Impact wrench M18 FMTIW2F12 with 881 Nm loosening torque and 745 Nm torque Extremely compact design with a length of only 152 mm. Which I found in the trash (500 $) that I want to fix... ................. Eureka! I repaired my impact wrench today. The error was in the brown main switch. To make it even more fun, I found the machine and the spare part in the trash. Maybe my experience will help someone who has similar problems? Greetings from Switzerland

Anyone know about the pin outs on the m18 battery? you get a voltage between the two inner pins of 3.2v, however my impact sometimes stops working and then I check the inner pins and they are at 0v, i can reset the battery by plugging it into my drill to bring them back up to 3.2v then it works again, so the impact must detect a fault and tell the battery to disconnect the pins?

Friend, how are you? congratulations for your work, I would also like to do the same with my milwaukee drill, you know mine is 3/4" but I want to convert it to 1/2" do you think you can help me find the parts I need to achieve the conversion? my drill is the same as yours, thanks if you need more information let me know, have a good day!

Thanks for the video man! Just wondering instead of putting 3/4 where you put yung socket can you put 1/2 instead is that possible?
@Jultsu Жыл бұрын
not really unless you change the whole outer casing, since the shaft on the 1/2" is smaller in diameter, it won't even begin to sit correctly against the hole for the original 3/4" anvil

is a Vaseline from "Divinol Lithogrease 2B" and the lithium base for gears, is slightly more viscous than that used in rotary hammers.

At the end of the video when you ran the screwdriver through the anvil and pulled the trigger. Is it normal for it to make those impacts without it turning on you? I have a mid torque impact and I can hold the socket in place while hearing the impacts on the gun
@juliogonzo27182 жыл бұрын
Yeah that is normal. It is not a direct drive. The hammer loads up and skips over the anvil and spins and strikes it. The hammer blows on the anvil create the torque. See if you can find a slow motion video of how the impact mechanism works. It's cool

Does it void the warranty to open it up? Saw a forum of someone who opened up their Dewalt to find it dry of grease, just makes me wonder
@nelservice65793 жыл бұрын
In general, the warranty is lost, now it also depends on who makes the tool warranty
@nelservice65793 жыл бұрын
if you think it would be a problem you can take it to a dewalt service for warranty and they will lubricate it if necessary

Grease for gears, high temperature resistance, medium viscosity, any type but do not use graphite grease
@michaelsheridan26562 жыл бұрын
@@nelservice6579 why not graphite grease?
@nelservice65792 жыл бұрын
@@michaelsheridan2656 Graphite Vaseline is used for mechanically stressed bearings and elements, for sprockets and mechanical elements that work at high frequencies or high speeds, more fluid Vaseline is used. if you put graphite Vaseline on a rotary hammer, it is destroyed prematurely
