My mechanics shop gave me an estimate for a “simple” repair that included 4 1/2 hours of labor. I found someone else to do it in 35 minutes flat. And I got to watch and help. I can do that job myself now. We are so let to believe only a professional can do many jobs when in reality it’s the simple stuff that makes them money and the difficult stuff only comes around once in a while (so sorry it takes us 10 days to fix that, it’s a big job - we do when we don’t have oil and break service cars to make us profits.). Loads of stuff we can do ourself.

Living in West Germany, I enjoy those videos. Here we never get snow and we have no mountains, but I love both. Also those videos are so relaxing because they give you the impression that you are around there only with your buddy, enjoying the silence of the distant nature - which is almost impossible here, where I live is the heaviest populated area of whole Germany, lots of freeways, cars and people everywhere, it's even one of the heaviest populated areas of whole Europe. I can't express how much I love going to lost places, where there is nobody. Which is why those videos are a big pleasure to me.

Marc Fuchs growing up in northern Germany, we had plenty of snow. I guess climate change is hitting you hard. But you are in luck. You hold the key to your future. Downsize. Pack up. And go. Plenty of areas with lower population density. The world is your oyster - but only if you are willing to adapt. Good luck.

@@4philipp Wise words. And that's basically what I'm planning to do. I have big plans and currently working hard on them. There is very different weather in different areas of Germany. Like 100 to 200 miles away from my spot, there is far less people and much of snow. I wanna move to Munich. Beautiful city, and once you leave the boundaries of it, open land and lovely landscapes.
@4philipp4 жыл бұрын
Marc Fuchs awesome. Love seeing people take action. It’s the only way to make change happen. München itself, as I understand it is expensive. But I don’t know about the rest of Bavaria.
