My dad got the whole Collection of JoJo Bizarre Adventures when he was very young and he gave it to me and some Akira manga as well. Edit: I wasn't even expecting to see many likes, thank you so much and it literally made my day 😊 I get a lot of people kept asking me to adopt 😂

Lol i was literally printing a chapter of manga when he said those words. Printing out manga and assembling it (putting together and adding a cover) somewhat became a hobby of mine recently. Currently i have 4 volumes of komi san, 3 of sousou no frieren and now im printing the 1st volume of hyakumanjou no labyrinth (All this for under 15$).

@@diylube i suppose i could make one (either by using harder paper(paperback cover) or by sticking some layers of paper together and sticking a printed image to that (hard cover)) but im too lazy for that (i might do it later tho) so i (for now) just attached a printed image as the 1st page. As for how do i get the coverto print, i just look it up and find a good image

I just recently bought all of yuuna and the haunted hot springs myself. I also literally spent a year or more learning Japanese just so I could buy and read all of Medaka Box lol. So it’s cool to see you really like that manga series also. One of my favorites. Worth learning to read Japanese

I personally would love to have a large manga collection. However, taking in the average cost per volume in the US (around $15 each), your collection would equate to costing around, roughly, $19,000 (in total). So you can see why many in the west have no choice but to read/use/buy digital versions. The cost is just too damn high for most. And for those of us who prefer having a physical copy in hand, its literal hell not being able to do so simply because of the exorbitant amount of markup.

@@TheClamatoJuice As someone with a 1400 English volume collection (around $17,000 worth, because English, yay..) moving is a pain but reshelving is pretty fun, and having an insurance policy on it lets me not have to worry about stuff like fires at the cost of pennies on the dollar on top of my normal renters insurance

The thing that amazes me the most in this video is the faris faction of the books being all the same size and height.. Here in Europe different editors and publishers distribute in all different sizes and doesn't look as nice in the bookshelf as Joey's.

Same way I remember it. I'm so interested in it that it just sticks in my brain. Does this mean I have great memory? Not necessarily. I need to look for my car every time I come out of a store and if my phone is not in it's usual spot at home then I forget where it is and need to look for it or call it.

It might be something you actively don't want to do, but having the English names of the titles beneath the Japanese title is something I would be interested in seeing (maybe just for titles with a published English translation). I'm sure there are lots of great, creative and unique titles that are lost on people who do not understand the language, like me, and have some interest but not enough time to look them up individually at the moment.

The Kamisama no Iutoori manga is a lot stranger than I expected! I first knew about it when a friend suggested we watch the live action movie and it looked pretty goofy but brutal so when I read the manga, I was like 'holy shit'

Only $5 per volume?! What a freaking steal! When you showed off your full collection of I"s, it triggered a memory long dormant of seeing that manga at the bookstore I visited a ton until it closed when I was in middle school. That place is why I wanted to open a bookstore of my own.

i can read japanese so lucky enough ive just bought the manga off of ebay, i got 20 volumes for around 70 bucks of one series. Shipping can be a lot sometimes, but its so worth it because the english version was being sold for nearly 300 bucks

A correction on his ad read: VPNs don't protect against viruses if they come directly from the website you're visiting. Imagine VPNs protect the outer wall of a pipe but not the water (data) that flows through the pipe. You need a separate program to filter the water (AKA block a virus from the source website)
