You guys aren't understanding that both of them have issues from childhood, it's not just that the sister is bad. The brother never got an apology from his father and so he is probably somewhat sensitive about it and he seems to be hard on her and a little too controlling. But the sister has a problem apologizing because she felt like she always had to be apologetic to her brother as a child but nobody was ever apologetic to her even though she was regularly left home alone with a neglectful father with nobody there for her at a young age and nobody ever said sorry to her - in fact, her brother was resentful towards her. I think they just need to understand each other a little better and they can learn to compromise. She can learn to apologize when she knows it's needed and her brother can learn to let it go sometimes. They obviously care about each other and I think after talking about their feelings stemming from their childhood they can work this out.

I think I can understand both of them. The brother just wants his sister to be the best version of herself. Maybe he doesn't know how to act because he never had a proper example with his father. I hope both of them will try to understand each other and to make the life better to the mom

Also, the sister might have a hard time apologizing because it sounds like she was always expected to be sorry to her brother for what he went through as a child. But nobody was doing the same for her, and even her brother was upset with her because he thought he was the only victim. But really she was hurt, too, being left alone with her father with no support quite often and she would just clean the entire house. She probably holds that hurt with her to this day and feels resentful that she always has to say sorry to him even when she feels it's unfair. I get where they're coming from.

I think even if you didn't do anything wrong, it's always best to apologize if you unintentionally hurt someone else's feelings. It's just about being the bigger person, not about winning or losing. At the end of the day, you know for certain that you did a good job in resolving a conflict in a mature and responsible way rather than stooping to the low standard of fighting back with someone who has no intention of recognizing his/her faults.

Kee Marina I think this guy deserves sorry 😐 I’m not sensitive and usually just let go of small conflicts. But being late to work, dozing off, playing on your phone and don’t apologize even got mad because she think the brother is big wuss is so spoiled. Just because she is his sibling does it means it’s okay not to pay her work? No. So she got paid but because they are sibling it’s okay for her to often be late and treating her job and boss like this? Apparently Yongja and some host think so. That’s so biased. I think what make him more annoyed is not because she didn’t apologize but because she look like she doesn’t feel a bit of guilt and doesn’t show remorse. All the time speaking it looks like she blame it all to her brother sensitivities and her past.

Honestly it was annoying how they kept laughing at the brother and all hopped onto the sister’s side just because she cried. So what he’s a bit sensitive? If you do something wrong, even if it was unintentional you should still apologize just for being the bigger person, it’s nor about winning or losing. It’s really not that hard to just give a quick apology, thats all he wants.

RanStuff The brother is sensitive because of his past. And hopefully he will be able to fix that and learn from his mistakes. However, the sister also is just being stubborn by not giving an apology. The sister clearly agreed to help him in the shop but she goes lazing off. Regardless of both their relationships and past, the right thing to do is to apologize. It’s always better to apologize rather than to ignore what you did, because the receiving person may have been hurt. Both of them are in the wrong and are very influenced by their past. They both need to learn from their past, not just one or the other.

@RanStuff not giving apology is like showing disrespect to her older brother. "i'm sorry" only has two words and she can't even say it. People has different personality, but the person who doesn't say sorry even he/she makes mistakes is just so disrespectful.

I think many people have stories like theirs. People who don’t want to become like a version of their parents end up being one because they develop other extreme behaviors. I’m more like him and the day I noticed I was too sensitive because of my insecurities and traumas I became a happier person. I stopped placing the blame on others, and instead look for ways I can solve the problem and what lessons I can learn from that. And I also realized people aren’t against you, they’re for themselves so it’s unfair to ask others to put my interests and emotions before theirs. They’re both good people that need more communication skills and forgiveness towards their father who still affect them negatively.

I feel like the family needs to get some counseling because they are both left with broken pieces of their childhood that still effects them. Like the brother holds a grudge against the sister because their father never beat her, so he seems to take his anger towards his father out on her (Not physically but emotionally). While she was always left alone due to which I think she started to focus her anger towards her brother since in her mind, he was the reason she was left alone. And I also think she knows that she is wrong and wants to apologize but unconsciously her emotions hold her back. Thus they both have frustrations and pent up emotions that needs to be talk about and dealer with.

I love Yongja for her joke but she often gives advices that I don’t agree 😓 She like blaming and asking the brother to be more understanding and sacrifices more for his sister. To be honest I think even though it’s your sibling shop, if you work for them and received money from them you should do your job. What is the meaning of understanding that the sister will be late again and that’s why the brother have to pick her up to show more care? I relate more to the brother to be honest. If she date and she could work as usual it’s okay but go to date and using it as an excuse to be late and dozing off on the workplace next day is not acceptable. And the sister doesn’t feel any guilt by this. That’s the worst. I don’t think she know she is wrong and just think that her brother is a big wuss when it’s normal to be scolded because of this in real life.

Youngja is thinking about the concern in terms of how to fix their sibling relationship-not about the job. What she said about knowing the sister will be late (to return home, not to work) and driving around to find her is just her suggesting that he show his concern for her as a brother in a more relaxed and loving way than scolding her. I agree with what you said about her not being professional, but trying to decide how often she meets her boyfriend is something a very controlling father would do, not an employer. Regardless of her work ethic, her love life is her own business.

Honestly I feel like they both raise some concerns. This conflict is being created because of the both of them. Of course they have deep resentment towards one another because of what happened when they were younger (their father was absolute trash), but I think that this can be changed with communication. They need to stop trying to change the other person and actually compromise. The things they’re fighting about aren’t important and they’re wasting time and stressing their mom out. He’s a bit too sensitive and she’s a little too laid back. Instead of trying to one up each other with their concerns, they would actually get somewhere and listen to each other.

I have a similar past as this family. I was never apologized to by my father for the things that he did. Not that he was a drunk, but he often got angry and would demand to get his way all the time. You don't realize how it affects you until you get older. Sadly, when you feel that someone is disrespecting you (like him thinking the waiter threw the dish down on purpose) you start losing your temper - just like your father. I have been the one to apologize to others, but sadly, they don't often apologize to me. But now, I want to stop having a short fuse and this episode shows that everyone is human and has their own story as to why they do things. Recognizing why you get angry can help. Maybe after this, the brother will think more about their shared past and change.

"Why should I be the one who should apologise always?". Errr, because you made mistake...as simple as that. Brother is trying to be the father and being very "old fashioned" they said... Don't y'all think we all for once in our life had blame our parents for setting so many rules, applying so many restrictions and etc? My point is, you'll never understand parents reason for doing all that, but it's always for the best. My mother always used to say “ Manners cost nothing” if your family is waiting and you are late saying sorry goes a long way. My sons say sorry for belching too I think it’s so very rude for someone to belch and not say sorry. This maybe just a groundless accusation towards the father but i'mma just say it anyways. I don't think the daughter was just emotionally hurt by her father. I strongly believe while the mother and son left home, the alcoholic abusive father took advantage of his daughter. Either by sexually abusing her or using verbally abusive words to her. Why I think this? because if you look at how long of a pause the daughter took in explaining how she was left alone with her father, as well as how she teared up. This could be a sign. And all of this is coming from someone who has been sexually abused as a child and beaten up regularly by not only his father but mother as well. I'm glad the father is out of the picture...Good on the mum

it looks like she's vert good at blaming everyone else for her mistakes but herself. blames her brother, the clothes store owner, mother etc. when someone older calls you by name you answer that's called respect. when you're working and getting payed, you work hard doesn't matter if the boss is your brother. blaming the store owner for talking, you could have told the owner your sorry and that you have to return to work. you want to make friends? you do that after work hours. i wanted to make friends for our business she said. that's not your job in the first place, that's the job of your boss. wtf is making friends with a clothes store owner during work hours going to do for your brother business? using your phone while working? that sounds like taking advantage of the fact that your brother is your boss. she js a spoiled kid in my eyes, not even a full grown responsible woman. she is laughing it off because she doesn't see that she is destroying her relationship with her fam.

about that boyfriend part, i think the sister is the wrong one here... you work for someone you should do your best instead of just dozing off, you cant just say im dozing off because i was with my boyfriend last night... she is going easy because she is working for her brother... you take money because you work there u can't just do whatever you want and expect your brother to not say anything to you and then go and play the victim...just because u have a boyfriend it doesnt mean u should do whatever u want, this is your brother who didnt kick u right at that moment, if it was anyone else, they will kick u out and lose that job, even when she said she went to bathroom and came back after one hour... her excuse is doesnt give her the right to blame her brother... u work for him and gives u money he has the right to listen to an apology when u keep doing what u want, what is the point of him hiring u at his job if u r not going to help when he has a lot of people, and u just chat there? u can just say i should leave i have a job to do, u cant say that? but u can argue with your brother right? i dont understand it.......... saying sorry ain't going to kill you, u did wrong tho.....

Total opposite siblings. Dude is too rigid and the girl is too loose with "rules". If they just accepted each other's faults and appreciated the positive spin of being too rigid / too loose, everything would work out fine. Working in an office with a lot of different personalities made me do this. Focus on their positives and work around their negatives.

Like the host said, he's holding to grudges against his father and taking it out on his sister since she never got beatings like him. She doesn't feel obligated to apologize since their mother would always comfort him when things got bad and not her. They're both at fault and should seek counselling or just try to talk to each other more. By the sounds of it they don't go out with each other much or probably had a meal together to discuss things. If they got to know each other better I think things would be a lot easier for them both. They're both holding on childhood struggles and constantly letting it clash and hurt them even more

I don’t know why, but I think the sister is being dramatic here. She cried because her mother didn’t bring her along, when her brother didn’t cry when he was being the one to be beaten up and hurt physically plus mentally. And everyone just paid attention to the sister just because she cried, attention seeker or trying to play innocent?

@@katie5920 yeah true, but doesn't seem like the sisters reckless or irresponsible. She seems like a regular person just living life. Even the questions he asks his sister about her dates is too nosy and out of line. They seem like normal brother and sister, he just needs to find a woman and or hobbies in life.
