NOTE: I made a small, graphic change from the previous Timeline when it comes to KHUX. Whenever you see both the KHχ [chi] AND Union χ [Cross] icons, like at 17:48, it means that the scene/gameplay you're about to watch occurred both in the PC version, as in KHχ [chi], and in the mobile game, as in Union χ [Cross]. Basically everything happening until the Keyblade War happened in the PC version, but it also gets to be replayed/relived in the mobile version. That's why you'll see both the icons. - - Explaining the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project - As many of you already know, the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project started back in April 2018 as a way to prepare all of us for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. What is the Timeline project? Basically, you'll see all of the story events as they chronologically happen. Which is seemingly easy to do, but...if you're familiar with Kingdom Hearts, then you do know the series is so full of flashbacks, callbacks and retcons, that it's extremely easy to lose track of them. I always like to think of the Timeline as an experiment. I wasn’t sure if it could be a welcome one but, somehow, it was so well received that it exceeded my expectations. The original Timeline was just a way to re-live all of the Kingdom Hearts titles leading to KH3, in a different, yet familiar way. I never had plans to go back to it, as I was fully aware of all the flashbacks and callbacks that could be added in the future titles. I don’t really like the idea of uploading new, fixed episodes every now and then-it would just confuse all of you (and, more than anyone, myself!) Still, the requests and messages I received in the past few years made me reconsider my plans. More than anything, I did plan to complete the KHUX saga, as it was the only incomplete title when KH3 came out. So here we are! Now that KHUX ended I have everything at my disposal for making the ultimate, complete chronological version of this title. I can’t stress enough the purpose of this project-this doesn’t want to be the best or the perfect way of experiencing the Kingdom Hearts saga. All of the titles should be played following their release dates. The Timeline is simply an alternate way of experiencing the story we already know and only players who already played the games should watch it. New players would be spoiled about some plot points, so be warned. This project gives you a different perspective on specific events, and the adding of new musics, flashbacks, callbacks and secret reports, makes the whole experience even more unique and immersive. For instance, the beginning of Birth by Sleep will be reuploaded since I’ll have to add the dialogue between Master Xehanort and Vanitas at the Land of Departure, occurring in Dark Road. 2) Q: Will the old episodes be deleted? A: No. All of the episodes will stay, but the new ones will have the text “NEW” in the thumbnail and in the video title. The new episodes will replace the old ones in the Timeline playlist in my channel. 3) Q: Will you be making KH3 as well? A: Yes, but my main goal was completing both KHUX and Dark Road. Man, the Master really played the foretellers like a fiddle, especially Aced and Gula, really targeted their insecurities. I know it's all for the sake of the world, but its super dark that a man that basically raised these people used his knowledge of them to engineer a situation in which they'd turn on each other. I feel bad for Luxu too, the poor kid was told exactly what the Master was doing, and basically had to choose between helping his friends or saving the world.

This episode made me realize how much I honestly miss actually playing Union Cross. It helped me connect with a lot of people, most of which I'm no longer speaking to. We had a genuine comradery in our Party before a nasty falling out struck before the end of UX and I ended up leaving. I don't miss the toxicity at all, but I do miss the actual friends I made, the thrill of stacking up our Lux Boosts for raids, talking to the group about Kingdom Hearts and life. I was at a really dark point in my life and when the group was actually in a positive place, it really helped keep me sane. Regrettably the party name has slipped my mind, but if on the off chance anyone from my old party sees this, thank you for the memories, and I hope you're doing well.

Anyone else got the urge to rewatch the Timeline series because of these new episodes?

Ira: Wrath Invi: Envy Aced: Acedia, which is commonly associated with Sloth though its closer to Ennui Gula: Glottony Ava: Avarice, aka Greed. Luxu: Lust And that makes the Master into Pride. The seven who will hold seven of the 13 Darknesses in them, forshadowed by their very names. The best part is that all of them, at least on the surface, have personalities at odds with their assigned foibles. Ira is slow to act and slow to anger, and tries to be stoic at all times, Aced is ambitious and is constantly desiring for more than he has, Ava is charitable and self-sacraficing to a fault, Luxu has no desires outside of fulfilling his role for his master, etc. The master said he trained them all specifically be be strong enough to contain the Darkness within themselves, and I think that's part of what he cultivated in them, purposefully making them antithetical to their assigned sin.

Today, we explore the days of when the Fortellers are given a role by the Master of Masters.

Man, going back through this with all the context we have now is way more sadder and heart wrenching.

The story of the Foretellers is so compelling in how these five Masters started out so close but were the obes responsible for the Keyblade War that Xehanort spent his life obsessed with

In each case, the master of masters plants the seeds of darkness into each forteller, so that the formless darkness may inhabit them eventually.

I’m just happy the keyblade war will look nice in these new episodes.

Despite being a small detail, I really loved seeing the Book of Prophecies at 24:39, already giving a clue of the nature of these worlds.

The Masters of Masters man he played the fortellers Luxu and Xehanort like fools because he basically manipulated them to turn on each other and forced Luxu into a lose lose situation. Don’t forget he pretty much manipulated Xehanort and caused him to fall into darkness and went on the path as a dark seeker. How can Sora beat a guy that’s like a thousand steps ahead of everybody. I guess we shall see

So far this is really good im looking forward to watching this series. But I do have a few things to note. Why are we skipping the disney worlds? I can tell from later episode titles we'll include them in later games. I know they dont add much in certain games, but it feels weird leaving them out as they are still part of the game. Are we just skipping them for Union/chi? Aswell as the first meeting with Donald, Goofy and Mickey like why are we skipping that it takes place in Daybreak town. Also chi has a slightly different opening wich starts with the MC getting attacked by the Darkside before the union leader intervenes and chases after it. That scene wasnt included here. Lastly in chi they used cards while in Union they use medals, is this a difference between the events or did Union just retcon it to be medals.

I have a question: In the KH timeline episode “Light in the Darkness”, what was the purpose of us seeing Ven during Sora’s transformation to a heartless?

When gula entered the room. Was the MOM looking into the future seeing the events happening? And is the MOM doing what LUXU and xehanort are doing and taking over people’s body to continue to live? Because he meets with you xehanort and the book of prophecy already exist but how did he get it? Did he come from the past or does he examine through the gazing eye and right it down onto the book?

I GET IT NOW! [Spoilers for the whole franchise] He's saying that he "MIGHT" disappear because he doesn't know, he broke the rules just like Sora did, and sora did just that, disappear. Maybe writting the future is what made him disappear, it wasn't voluntary at all.
