Pastor Jesse begins a 5 part series in reaction to the "Once Saved Always Saved | A Documentary Film." This reaction is in response to the error that these men promote. In no way, shape or form are we desiring to degrade these individuals. We pray for each of these men that they come to the knowledge of the truth of salvation.

By relaxing, he is not talking about resting in the Lord. He is trying to say, not taking your salvation for granted. Assuming once you are saved, you can just go on living any way you want. He is saying that many people, after they are saved, get lazy, and stop doing the things they need to do in order to grow, and become mature Christians. They tend to relax, and think, well I am saved, there is nothing else I need to do for God. God is not there to serve us, we are here to serve Him. People get complacent and forget we have a job to do. And that is to be fruitful. Spreading the gospel, being led by the Holy Spirit, and using the gifts God gives us. If we know Christ, however, our salvation is already assured. We’ll still stand before God - but not to be judged for our salvation. Instead, we will stand before God to be rewarded for our good deeds. The Bible says, “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10). These too are sobering words, reminding us that we are accountable to God for the way we live as believers.

I use to believe you can lose your salvation. What a complete waste of life! Everyday was a rollar coaster of ups and downs. Start off everyday with high hopes, an hour passes and I already failed. Day after day with nothing but failures. Imagine having to go before your dad numerous times a day and tell him I failed you once again. Now imagine going before the Creator of the universe and having to do that! It got to the point hat I stopped going to God because the pain was too much. 40 years of living like this. Then by the grace of God the Holy Spirit gave me understanding of what justification is and means!!!! I cried because the weight of my sin was no longer on me. I've had perfect peace and contentment in Christ ever since. That was 13 years ago.

@jpd4676 Thankfully, my position in Christ is set. You see, 24 hours a day, God demands perfection. And 24 hours a day, Jesus fulfilled this demand. Since we received Jesus very own righteousness, we meet this demand through Jesus. Not because we are special or anything we have done or will do. But because of the Father's mercy and grace. Imagine a book titled your life. You read it and it's full of mistakes, not being obedient to God. Now imagine the book about Jesus. You read it and there's nothing but obedience and perfection. What justification does, is it takes your name, and applies it to Jesus book. So now when God looks at your life, He sees nothing but complete obedience and sinless perfection. That's why it's called the great exchange. We got what we didn't deserve, His very own righteousness. And He got what He didn't deserve, our sin.

@@jpd4676 No Christian perfectly keeps themselves from sinning even for a day. No Christian is sinless or absolutely perfect in every way. Remember that sin not only includes ACTS of sin, but thoughts, attitudes, and of course words. It also includes FAILURE to do what you know is right. James 4:17 " Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." You do not lose your standing with God because you sin. If you did then no person on the planet is saved right now. That includes you btw. I am kept saved always because my sins can never be reckoned against me ever again. That is the clear teaching of Romans 4. That is not a license to sin or to live as you please. If you are a truly born-again person all of your sins have been imputed to Christ and paid for and God will no longer record sins against you. That is the clear teaching of Romans 4:8 "Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute (record, reckon, count) sin." If I were to sin today and die with even that one sin on my record I would go to hell forever and so would you. We only get eternal life because God reckons or imputes all of our sins to Christ and He imputes the righteousness of Christ to us. The children of Israel all believed when they passed through the Red Sea. But of the millions that came out of Egypt only Two believed when they came to the promised land! The rest could not enter in because of unbelief! You must continue to believe! It is not a one time prayer, it is a lifelong daily faith, which causes you to do Gods word from the heart! If you say you know him, and continue to practice sin, you’re deceiving yourself! Grace is not given so we can continue to sin without reaping death. Grace is given so we can overcome sin, and be made holy. When he said OSAS causes the people to relax. He was saying,How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation. OSAS is damnable heresy!

80 verses in the New Testament alone warn to as that we can lose salvation. That’s quite a few. Gods law: walk in love or be destroyed When we continue to walk in sin we are not being controlled by the spirit of God. We are being controlled by the flesh and sin. Choosing to walk in the image of Satan rather than the image of God. When we repent and come to the Lord with a whole heart. He places a hedge around us so that we walk in peace. Should we find ourselves not walking in peace the powers of darkness are attacking us. The hedge has been removed bc of some sin which has broken Gods commandment of love; His law. *this is Gods discipline and reproof on a son who sins. A Christian will want to repent so he will ask the Holy Spirit what sin we have committed bc we love Jesus more than any sin. The Holy Spirit eventually will reveal to us the sin. Then bc of the cross and blood of Jesus Christ; bc of Jesus Christ victory over sin and bc he became our sacrifice for sin. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from this sin. We are then forgiven and we are no longer transgressors of Gods law. The powers of darkness have no more ground so they have to back off and the hedge of protection and peace returns. As we learn to walk in the blessings and peace of God we become more and more sensitive about avoiding sin. This is the discipline that leads us to purifying our hearts to love others and Jesus has loved us. *Hebrews 12 False sons refuse to give up the their love for nature of Satan. They devise ways to get to heaven without denying their flesh. They justify themselves with their own form of godliness. They do not know the peace or the fear of God and do not know they have to purify their hearts. Therefor as they continuously break Gods law(love) the powers of darkness are able to bring more and more bondage until they are destroyed.

Heb 10 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[a] and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”[b] 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Believeth leads to understanding and understanding leads to holy life (no deliberate sinful lifestyles). Fake believers continue to live in sin and know it yet and no when they oppose the commandments of the Lord. Jesus demanded strict followers of his teachings. Matthew 5:20 “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Hence repentance on a daily basis and fasting and praying for salvation of sins( lies, gossip, lust, greed, gluttony, jealousy, hate, perversity, addictions, etc) is critical for soul. I said bad word recently and yet I need to ask Lord in prayer to cleanse my mouth. I could be punished severely for that. Fear the Lord and follow his teachings while denying the body and world helps to be united to Holy Spirit until death. Remember Holy Spirit cannot dwell in contaminated vessel until guilt is removed and sin forgiven by God or through apostolic succession of priest. We forgive others. Anyway sin is not godly and an offense to the Godly essence.

The Bible says that OSAS is not Biblical and here is the proof and fact. John 15:1-8 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit (sins) He takes away; (cast away) and every branch that bears fruit (stop sinning) He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. (Justifies) You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, ( do not sin) and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, (go to hell) and they are burned. (in the lake of fire) If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. (inherit the kingdom of God)

@@jpd4676it’s interesting you put your own words with () trying to add your own context to this passage. Very dangerous thing you are doing. What is the actual context here? This passage is talking about bearing fruit not losing salvation. Many things to note here. The body of Christ is not even established yet until after the crucifixion and this is before it. Also no Christian is described as a branch on a vine; they are members of a body. Who is being talked to here? The 11 disciples…The passage is an illustration dealing with a Christian bearing fruit not keeping salvation. Verse 6 has nothing to do with anybody getting thrown into hell. Notice it says “men” who “gather” the branches to be “burned”. No Christian burns literally his works burn… It’s amazing you can come to the Bible with your presupposed ideas and try to make it say whatever agrees with that. Stop.

No need to go to the church fathers, go straight to scripture; 1Co 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. So Paul himself did not relax, instead he kept himself under discipline so as to not be cast out of the kingdom. 1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. OSAS can't preach this scripture in earnestness. No need to take heed, you can't fall. It's an inversion of scripture. Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. Can a person fall after this pattern of scripture? What was this pattern? The very one outlined in 1 Cor 10:1 - 11 OSAS is a tradition of men.

@@JimmyGGGGG The context of chapter 9 in Corinthians is about preaching the gospel and receiving or losing rewards. Not about losing salvation. And again chapter 10 is out of context, it's not about losing salvation. Hebrews 4:11 is consistent with the rest of the bible that you can believe and yet fall into sin being a bad example/testimony to others. Here's what the word of God says about the sequence of salvation: “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:13-14) The purchased possession is us, bought by His blood, then sealed until redemption which is the day in heaven when we get our new glorified bodies and no longer require to be sealed. Notice that the sequence of events of being saved goes like; hearing the gospel, believing the gospel, being sealed with the Holy Spirit, sealed until redemption. It doesn't say anything about any conditions in between being sealed and then being in heaven in our new sinless bodies. So from the point of being saved to the point of our deaths or the rapture, the sealing is permanent until we are in heaven regardless of how we choose to live our lives (yield to flesh or Spirit - obedience or disobedience - see Romans 5:20-21, 6:1-2, 11-13 & Galatians 5:16. The Bible does not encourage to use abounding grace as a license to sin) “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37) “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.” (John 10:28-29) “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:13) OSAS is from the word of God. I hope you change your mind and believe that you're reserved and kept by the power of God (1 Peter 1:4-5) and glory in Him for such an unspeakable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15)

@@EndTimesMustardSeed “him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37) Yes, all those who come and OBEY Jesus. If you are a worker of iniquity then Christ will cast you out. 'Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: *depart from me, ye that work iniquity.'* (Matt 7:22-23) These people professed faith in Jesus and yet Jesus cast them out. Why? Because they obeyed evil (sin, the flesh and Satan) and not God. You cannot obey Satan (sin) and expect to enter into Heaven. You are under a delusion if you believe that. 'And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness (sin).' (2 Thes 11-12) 'Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived' (1 Corinthians 6:9) Notice how God *WARNS* you not to be deceived. What are people deceived by? Lies. Do you believe that it is true that 'the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God'? Or do you believe that a person can continue in wickedness and enter into Heaven? Are you following God's truth or are you following the lie? 'regardless of how we choose to live our lives (yield to flesh or Spirit - obedience or disobedience' - This is a lie straight from the enemy that is contrary to God's word. 'For *if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die:* but *if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.'* (Rom 8:13) This is clearly contrary to what you have written. I hope you see this and it opens your eyes that you are under false teaching. May the Lord have mercy on you. Flee from this OSAS false teaching. What was the very first lie in the garden? 'And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die' (Gen 3:4) What did God say? For *if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.'* Do you believe this or do you believe the lie? Saving faith is a faith that obeys God. To believe is to obey, otherwise you do not actually believe. 'They profess that they know God; but *in works they deny him,* being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.' (Titus 1:6) If you love Jesus you will keep his commandments (John 14). Those that do not love Jesus do not keep his commandments. Those that do not love Jesus will not enter into heaven.

@@JimmyGGGGG The word says in no wise, not you will be cast out for a lack of obedience at John 6:37. Again, context matters. The very next verses say: "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." (38-40). The will of the Father is to see the Son and believe on him. At the end there you write John 14 if you love him you'll keep his commandments. Here is the commandment: "And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.” (1 John 3:23) The commandment of Jesus. Believe on Him and love the brethren. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. As for Matthew 7, that's right a lot of people will profess that they did many wonderful works showing that that's what their trust was in. Themselves. Their obedience. Their performance. Not in the finished work of Christ alone as all sufficient payment. Jesus never knew them through all those works. They didn't obey God and believe on Jesus alone as the commandment above states and trust in His finished work. They instead looked to themselves and their works for assurance of salvation which does not justify. They work iniquity because they have never received the forgiveness of sins which can only be received through faith in the finished work of Jesus. A one time deal. "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." (Hebrews 10:14) Romans 5:9-11 says that we are justified present tense by his blood and have now received present tense the atonement. It is finished. The work for payment of sins has been done and is imputed through faith once and for ever. There are two natures, our old flesh nature and the new Spirit received through faith in the gospel. So unfortunately you can yield to the flesh and be carnal as the word of God states: "Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.” (Romans 7:17-18) "O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” (Romans 7:24-25) There is a distinction between the two natures. “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” (Ephesians 4:22-24) The old man remains after being born again and we walk in the new man by renewing in the Spirit. “And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him” (Colossians 3:10) “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.” (Romans 6:11-13) So we see that we can yield to the flesh and make bad decisions. But thank God that we can yield to the Spirit, the incorruptible seed that cannot sin. “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin” (John 8:34), yet now there is new life, a new nature in us if you’ve believed the gospel that cannot sin: the indwelling Holy Spirit “for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (1 John 3:9) We’re born again of an incorruptible seed (1 Peter 1:23). This seed remains in us and whereas the flesh sins, the Spirit cannot. By which we are secured unto redemption (Ephesians 1:13-14) The 2 Thes 2:11-12 is taken out of context again, it's about the rapture and those who didn't believe in Christ and the gospel who had an opportunity to before the catching away will have a strong delusion come unto to them for that tribulation period that they might believe. I have to say again the context is not looked at with the verse of 1 Corinthians 6:9, verse 11 explains after the list of the sins “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God” These things have been washed off, they are sanctified, and are justified through Jesus and secured by the Spirit. Romans 8 continues the doctrine of the 2 natures, you can certainly die from living carnally and be taken home early. To believe is to believe the plain statements of scripture in context: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” (John 6:47) Hath. “Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.” (Acts 13:38-39) “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” (John 3:16-17) I’m sorry mate but you keep using scripture out of context. I hope you repent, change your mind from believing in your own works to believing in the finished all sufficient work of Christ. It doesn’t mean you now live like a filth; we should deny ungodliness and worldy lusts, and should be careful to maintain good works which are good and profitable unto men. But that’s the point is it’s profitable unto men, not how we are justified. We’re justified through faith alone. Believe in Him, don’t look to yourself for assurance of your salvation. Look to the finished work of Christ and strive to enter into His rest instead of striving for dead works of the flesh which will get burnt up at the Judgement Seat

@@EndTimesMustardSeed Mate, there’s too much for me respond to with a single comment, so I’ll engage the key points. Your position is known as antinomianism which means anti (against) nomos (law) or lawlessness. When Jesus speaks of faith/belief he is talking about a genuine enduring faith that bears fruit to God. It is a continued present tense belief, not a one and done deal. Jesus himself says you must endure to the end in faith to be saved. ‘But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.’ (Matt 24:13) Those that do not endure to the end are not saved. Scripture says ‘*If* we suffer, we shall also reign with him: *if we deny him, he also will deny us*’ (2 Tim **2:12**) Notice that this is conditional. You have two options; endure in the faith and reign, or deny the faith and be cast out. You can deny the faith in actions and not just words as it is written ‘They profess that they know God; but *in works they deny him,* being abominable, and *disobedient,* and unto every good work reprobate.’ (Titus 1:6) and likewise ‘But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, *he hath denied the faith,* and is worse than an infidel (unbeliever) ’ (1 Tim 5:8). Your understanding of Matthew 7 is incorrect. Jesus explicitly casts out workers of ‘iniquity.’ The word rendered as iniquity is ἀνομίαν meaning 'lawlessness'. It is where the term ‘antinomianism’ comes from. Jesus is casting out those who literally practice lawlessness. And what is lawlessness? ‘Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.’ (1 John 3:4) It’s the same word ἀνομίαν that used in Matthew 7. Jesus is casting out those who practice unrepentant wilful sin or ἀνομίαν. We keep the commandments Jesus gave us. Yes those commandments you listed are the commandments given to us. Love is the fulfillment of the law and love is far from sin. To love God is to obey God’s commands. Do you think people that hate God go to Heaven? Present tense means ongoing, the Aorist tense is what signifies the one time past event. But yes, that passage means that Christ’s work is finished and full atonement has been provided for. This doesn't mean you can keep wilfully sinning. 'For if we sin wilfully (present tense meaning continuous and ongoing) after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?' (Heb 10:26-29) This is a warning that it is not just temporal death, but far greater punishment for those that carry on in unrepentant wilful sin. No offence mate, but you're using an empty rhetoric and establishing a false dichotomy. I don’t believe in my own works. I believe in the finished work of Christ. I believe that we have to be faithful to God. Obedience to God and faith in the finished work of Christ are not opposed to one another. 'And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto *all them that obey him’* (Hebrews 5:9). I hope you can see that you are preaching against Christ’s commandments and are preaching lawlessness the very thing that he said he would cast people out for. You've come into the false teaching of man that is OSAS. 'And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.' (Mark 7:9)

Romans 5:1,2 " Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." I don't base my Bible doctrine on what the "church fathers" say, but on what the Bible says. From all I've read and heard that is where every single heresy gets its foothold, by going to the teaching of men outside of scripture. That has led to about every heresy and damnable doctrine known to man in every major known religion.

I left the Weslyan doctrine about 5 years ago but I’m still ashamed how this film distorted the facts. It’s a hit piece and I think it reflects more about ego and power structure than truth and grace found in the gospel. I have friends in this theology and I recognize now how much they were beholden to tradition and this doctrine instead the gospel. It saddens me but I know we all have some sort of bad theology. @@susanroffman1612 I won't try to tackle all of those verses, but you've taken ALL of them out of context to try and prove a point that does not exist in the Bible. You selected Ezekiel 33:18 which is NOT about losing salvation or even the subject of salvation at all. If you're an honest person who wants to know the truth you can read the entire chapter, not just select a verse that you think proves salvation can be lost which is literally impossible. Either Christ has paid the full price for your sins and you've placed your faith in Him or you are still in your sins and under the judgment of God. Ezekial 38 is written to the children of Israel and Judah under captivity for forsaking the Lord. Ezekiel 38:1 " Son of man, speak to the children of thy people". The passage is about Israel and Judah who are in captivity. They had forsaken God and were not following the law of Moses. They were suffering God's judgment on the NATION. Would you read the whole passage? bible.timelesstruths.org/Ezekiel+33 Again, First Corinthians 9:27 is not talking about losing your salvation but your eternal rewards. Could you read the entire passage? We do not keep ourselves saved by how we live. If that were true then salvation is not by "grace through faith" (Ephesians 2:8,9) The term "castaway" is from the Greek word "adokimos" which literally means not approved or rejected for service. Here are several places in the New Testament where "dokimos" or "approved" are used. bible.timelesstruths.org/G1384 The word in First Corinthians 9:27 is speaking of a Christian who is NOT APPROVED by God for service. Because they have not lived for God they will "suffer loss" of rewards, but not of their eternal life. I right now have eternal life because of the finished work of Christ and no other reason. If you are a true believer in Christ you should know that's the truth. He alone paid for every single sin you have ever committed in your life past, present, and future because He paid the one and only final sacrifice for our sins on the cross by the shedding of the only innocent blood to ever walk on this planet. Salvation is a free gift of God and is without any human merit at all. Once you've placed faith alone in Jesus Christ your eternal destination is settled but your eternal rewards depend on how you live until the day you die. bible.timelesstruths.org/1+Corinthians+9 Galatians 5:4 does not have a thing to do with losing your salvation. If you think that you don't understand what the entire book of Galatians is all about. The main theme of that epistle is about Judaizers who were trying to insert Old Testament law-keeping into salvation by grace through faith. The Apostle Paul was saying that if they were trying to add law-keeping to salvation by grace they had "fallen from grace". That means to add the works of the law to the DOCTRINE of salvation by grace through faith you had "fallen from grace." See Galatians 1:6-9 bible.timelesstruths.org/Galatians+1:6-9 This corrupted the gospel of salvation by grace and changed it to "another gospel". (In Galatians 5 The passage is clear that they were saying you needed to be circumcised and to keep the law in order to be saved. If you don't know that you are not an honest person because it's VERY CLEAR if you read the entire chapter or the entire epistle. bible.timelesstruths.org/Galatians+5 There is not so much as one verse or one sentence in all they Bible that teaches salvation can be lost. You either have the Son and have life or you don't. It really is that simple and permanent.

Wrongly explaining biblical grace along with teaching one can lose salvation is leading many people to hell. Sadly , there are likely many who think they are saved because they have placed that assumption on themselves and how they’re living, if they’re sinning less or stopped certain sins. Jesus and his completed , accepted payment for our sin debt was enough. The focus on self as the litmus test for eternal security instead of on the promise by Christ to secure is of we’ve believed on his sacrifice is now how many gain assurance. Unfortunately, they then take a false gospel to others, believers or not , who either live with uncertainty that they have “ believed enough “ or who are never actually saved because they have come to think they must contribute their presumed good deeds to Christ’s one time sufficient offering. This is a huge issue in many churches, most who even claim salvation is by faith alone ….. then comes the …… BUT 😬😥 It’s critical to interpret scripture and sad to say these guys as do many others incorrectly interpret Galatians, James and other books / passages to fit their salvation can be lost narrative. Yet correctly dividing scripture in interpreting it with other scripture clears up this false conclusion they are pushing. Thank you Jesse , such a needed biblical counter defense to the lies and damage by this documentary.

The doctrine of losing one's salvation doesnt understand the new birth, the new creation in Christ, the gift of holy spirit and ultimately relies on works to keep you saved. And most detrimental of all in this doctrine is that Christ is not our complete savior. Shalom

Thank God that I KNOW that I KNOW that I KNOW I'm saved forever. I can't imagine what people who are not mature in their faith about this are thinking right now. I've known I'm saved forever since April 3, 1977. I just believed what the Bible said and I never even heard of a "church father" or that you could lose your salvation.

@@wanderer44-xr5si Agreed and you will never read or hear any statement from me that contradicts that we are to stand before God at the Judgment Seat of Christ for rewards. However, the ones who teach you can lose your salvation believe that salvation is actually a reward for how they live and therefore not 100% by the grace of God. It makes no sense to believe that salvation is by grace through faith and at the same time teach that you maintain your own salvation by how you live. God chastens His own children, but chastisement is not the same as judgment. If a believer were to be judged even for one sin the penalty for that would be eternal separation from God in the lake of fire and brimstone. That is what all the groups that teach we can lose salvation don't understand.

Do these false teachers think we are so dumb that we have never heard of the Bible? All they do is talk about the words of other men. The vast majority of men demanded Jesus be crucified too. These are the same people that would have been demanding Pilate crucify Jesus.

Spreading the gospel, being led by the Holy Spirit. If we know Christ, however, our salvation is already assured. We’ll still stand before God - but not to be judged for our salvation. Instead, we will stand before God to be rewarded for our good deeds. Philippians 2:12, yes. It is written to a believing crowd, the Philippians, who are being encouraged by Paul to continue serving the Lord joyfully. Often, when we see salvation, we automatically think of "this is a verse telling people how to go to heaven," but we cannot look at every instance of "saved" or "salvation" that way. The command from Paul is to "work out" what you already have. He is talking about their obedience to share the gospel of Christ who "humbled himself, and became obedient to death." They are supposed to "shine as lights in the world." This is all about sharing the gospel. They are already saved, but the encouragement is to push out what they already know toward other people. Why would they do it in "fear and trembling?" They are going to be judged - cf verse 11 "every tongue should confess..." - not on whether they will enter heaven, but whether they worked and served God with all diligence. Those who serve will be rewarded in the Kingdom, and those who do not shall lack in comparison. - Trent

The “fear and trembling” is probably reference to coming judgment. We will be judged one day, so we ought to serve very carefully in expectation of that judgment. Jesus will “judge without mercy” at the judgment seat of Christ - James 2:12-13. We have some content on this idea. - Trent

I'm new to christian faith, and salvation seems to be overcomplicated. Im sure if one loves Christs the Holy Spirit will place his desires and actions in us as said in Ephesians. It doesn't seem to be it should be more complex than that. Gllry to god.

you are correct. Its up to us after we are saved. If you are born again, living for God, and then decide that you dont want to serve God anymore. Its too hard, you dont care. You want to go back to your old ways, drinking, hanging out with your old unsaved friends. You are living in sin, fornicatiing, and denying God in everything you do. Ignoring the Holy Spirits conviction, and never repenting for it. Then you made a choice to deny God, and He will deny you as well. Its common sense. Do you think God is going to say, look at my child, how He denies me, walks i sin, does not even pray to me anymore, or repent. Well since He is saved, let Him do what He wants? Its all good? Wrong! Doesnt work that way. You still have the Holy Spirit living inside you, because He never leaves, but unless you adhere to the conviction, and turn back to God, then your soul is in danger if you were to die in that state.

First, I’m glad you use “eternal life” rather than OSAS. I do the same, because eternal life is in the Bible, and the phrase “OSAS” is not. Second, aside from scripture confirming the believer is saved and has eternal life, if you can be unsaved, you were never actually “saved” to begin with. Further, if one has eternal life, and can lose eternal life, then it wasn’t actually eternal. It contradicts God’s word. Lastly, Loss of Salvation Theology (LOST) is 1 point Calvinism, because it adopts the works-salvation of perseverance of the saints (POTS), so it’s exactly what it criticizes. It also creates the same uncertainty about salvation as Calvinism does.

You are not allowed to do anything you want. We are not to be a slave to sin any longer. That is why they are called backsliders. They are Holy Spirit-filled born again believers, who decided that they dont want to serve God anymore. Its too hard, they dont care. They want to go back to your old ways, drinking, hanging out with your old unsaved friends. They are living in sin, fornicatiing, and denying God in everything you do. OSAS is FALSE. Its a deception. (2 Peter 2:20-22) If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.”
