In een paar dagen heb ik vanaf jullie eerste video tot en met de laatste al jullie avonturen bekeken. Geweldig, wat jullie doen. De rust die jullie, in ieder geval op de video's uitstralen, mooi om te zien. En dan met zo'n klassieker van de Wever werf op pad te zijn. Marjolein had gelijk met die afgebroken kiel van dat gestrande jacht. Daar zullen jullie geen last van krijgen. Wat mij betreft mogen de video's wat uitgebreid worden...maar het editen kost veel tijd. Is er ook nog ergens iets te zien van Nederland tot Egypte? Ik blijf jullie volgen. Do you have a visa and everything? Are you going to sail around a bit too? There are some beautiful anchorages here :) we wanted to go to the Maldives, but the agent there advised us not to come now, due to Corona. We spoke with crew from othe baots whe were there during the first lockdown, and they had not so good experiences. They also said, don't go during Corona time. So we think Djibouti will be our final destination probably. When are you leaving for Socotra and Kenia? Are both countries welcoming boats now?

Hey Markus! Thanks for getting in touch! Nice that you are thinking of buying a trintella as well. We are very happy with our boat. We did not have any boat ourselves before, but sailed with a breehorn 37, owned by our friends, for several months. So that's our only real comparison. We like our boat because of its very strong construction. It feels very safe to be on a strongly built boat, with a longkeel. The center cockpit is also very nice! It gives a lot more space on deck and indside, 2 seperate rooms, and a very protected cockpit area. The mast isn't in the living area because it's more to the front to balance with the mizzen. We like the looks as well. There is a lot of space to relax on deck for a baot this size. The disadvantages are that it's not too fast because of its weight. 7.5 tonn. So our avarage cruising speed was around 4knots. Top speed around 7 knots. It's also not very good in sailing upwind. So tagging against the wind takes a lot of time. And the bedroom in the back doesn't have any windows to open except from the entrance. So in hot countries it gets very hot because there is no airflow. For us it is :) but we aren't too tall. I don't know the exact standing height but I think people up to about 1m80 can stand straight inside. There is no storage room under the floor. So that's why the standing height is better. The watertank is taking up all space under the floor. 400 liters. And fuel tanks in the benches of the cockpit are also very big. They have 400liter together as well.

@@sailingmessenger8125 We bought the boat, and the autopilot needs replacing. What model are you using? See one ray marine model is max weight7.5, which is right on the limit. While the step up is way more expensive

Hey Markus! Congrats!! Hope you will be as happy with it as us :) Eehm we have an autopilot that's hydraulic and very strong. My uncle, the previous owner worked on commercial boats, so he built something very strong in it. I will check for you what type it is. But in general people tend to have lots of trouble with autopilot when they do long passages, so I won't budget too much on that.. Almost every traveler by boat that I know of had issues with it, and we never did. So I'm thankfull my uncle invested in a good one 😁
