In this episode of BEHIND THE GANGSTER Anthony Ruggiano Jr. and Hollywood Wade cover the 1996 Gotti movie.
Paul Castellano was a notorious American mafia boss who was the head of the Gambino crime family in New York City from 1976 until his assassination in 1985. Paul Castellano was assassinated on December 16, 1985, outside a steakhouse in Manhattan, New York City. He was shot multiple times by several gunmen who were allegedly hired by John Gotti, a rival mobster who later became the boss of the Gambino crime family.

I don’t want to debate your “mafia”, but what I want to bring up is how Ex Members and Ex Associates of Cosa Nostra are on KZfaq playing roles like they were some type of Robin Hood’s, when in Fact 90% of all members of Cosa Nostra were punks, including John Gotti, whom got slapped in Prison By Mikie Boy Paradiso and never retaliated or even fought back, than you Got guys Like Mikey Scars who was involved in child porn and cooperated because he could not do a 10 year sentence (He is the Biggest Punk) playing like he high lord of the “ Mafia”. Please give us your knowledge and tell us the stories what low lives them guys were.

Honestly I don’t think Neil ever even had a chance at being boss after Carlo, as well liked as he was, Carlo was related to Paul in more ways than one, like you said. Also- Neil was a Neapolitan, the Gambinos and Castellano’s were Sicilian. And OC Shortz made a video once that had FBI transcripts showing Paul was acting boss for Carlo as far back as 1963. Not to mention Carlo wasn’t about to hand over a $500 million dollar a year company to someone outside his immediate family. Sure Paul was white collar and Neil wasn’t, but I don’t think that factored much into his decision at all tbh. If the tables were turned and Neil was related to Carlo, he would have been boss. Family will always come before anyone else, no matter who you are.

Sammy the bull says when Neil got out of prison, they called a meeting. Sammy was there and he said Neil just out of prison, "Paul, had his finger on the pulse(business) and knew what was going on". Neil said Paul should take the position. Sounds exactly like something Neil would do based on what I know/read/character about him "classy/gentleman/Pictures with Sinatra. So, that is what I think is the most reliable piece of information I have come across in the 35 years or so I been reading about the "life".

This channel , Sammy’s channel , franzese’s channel , OC shorts channel n mobfireside chat I can listen to all day .. n there not dragging or boring or extra , kinda feel like scars is trying to hard to make a point that’s not there n it’s jus boring after awhile .. according to him he has so many stories but jus talks about Sammy this Sammy that it’s so annoying to hear a grown man talk about another grown man every show trying to change ppls minds , if it’s a story he’s involved in with Sammy fine share it but he try’s to tell Sammy story like he knows it better than Sammy , most of his info is from 3rd party’s after Sam flipped so of course ppl gon have things to say about Sam . I read and seen several accts that Big Paulie Castellano, Roy Demeo, DB made TONS of blood $$ on Child Prostitution, Kiddie Porn, and regular porn. If this is true, they all got their just desserts!! No? Matt
