Am so enjoying watching this, including your comments to the cows. As an Australian I have to agree with my countryman - the ability to walk a day and end up at a village, town or pub is a bonus.

That's a big bull with a nose ring! I would be glad he's on that side of the fence too! It's so cool you get to see all the farm animals on your hike. That's a rare thing for me! Looked like a nice day for a trek!

The forecast for today doesn't look good. Rain mostly so i feel for you up there. Enjoyable walk and a friend to help you along. Keep it up, you're doing really well!😁

Not a fan of walking through fields of livestock either - especially cows. Hope you didn’t have any trouble with them. We had heavy downpours here in Derbyshire today. I was you you - hope the rain wasn’t too bad for you. Keep it up Anthony 👍

good work and some spectacular scenery ahead! as far as scenery goes IMO i don't think there's any bad days (weather permitting) although without doubt the best is still to come

Anthony, I guess you're right about the weather being a bit better in Australia. I've watched a lot of English youtubers walking in pretty bad conditions. But the multi-day hikes down here tend to be a bit difficult, and when you get to a certain age....

I think you are spot on in regards to the footwear. I will say my trail runners do all have rockplates to provide some extra bit of protection underfoot. Much like you, I do wear waterproof socks when I feel I may get wet...Unfortunately, most anything 'waterproof' results in sweating feet !

Day 5 yikes! Always nice when it rains through the night, absolutely love Yorkshire and its mountains, you will have a ball! ⛰👍 Loves George's story too, good luck to him ❤ Shame the weather came in on you a bit today, glad it didn't last to long 🤗 The canal was a nice change of scenery, nice that you bumped into George too, help lift spirits. Think we've actually stopped in that pub a couple of times too! Was there a Youth Hotel up the road? Was our base of operations when we tackled the Y3P, good luck for today Anthony, catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ⛰☕❤🎉 keep on pushing!

Well I have had to wait until after work to see this as I was out of the door at the crack of dawn today but it’s been worth the wait. That’s another good chunk of the PW done Anthony, well done to you! Always great to meet new people out on the trail too! Glad the body is holding up well. Looking forward to the next section, a tough but inspiring one I imagine. Keep on going! ATB Greg

Nice going Anthony! Hope you didn't lose too many southern subscribers by showing the gravy on your chips! 😁 They don't understand these things! 👍😊

You met the livestock today, I hope you got the chance to chat with them, as you have seen my vids I am always striking up conversations with the local 4 legged friends, That light switch is a bit wonky behind you in your B&B 😀

It must have been a great boost to walk with someone the last few miles Anthony . It’s little things that keep you going. Hope stretching works well I do get some aches in hips after 20 miles not sure what can be done to help it. Rest helps and hiking poles. I guess that had no signal last night so hope all is well

What is the fit like on the Trabucos Anthony? They look quite wide and comfortable. One to consider if so. As I type this you will hopefully be enjoying one of the best days the PW has to offer. The Cove, Tarn, Fountains Fell and Penyghent are all top PW features. Cheers, Chris

The Trabuco Max shoes do have a decent wide fit. The mesh upper is really comfortable too. I’ve been very impressed with them so far. The foam flyte cushioning is as comfortable as anything I’ve ever tried before

With your experience so far, how would you now balance the extra weight of carrying kit to wild camp against all those extra k’s your walking to your various B+B?
