Even though it is sandwiched between some big PW highlights, I like that area, going through Hannah's Meadow and near the 'haunted' Kirkcarrion. Hope the pizza met expectations. Looking forward to seeing Upper Teesdale and High Cup. ATB, Chris

Crack on Anthony! Day 9 already? Time's flying. Tomorrow'll be the big day for scenic photos, Low Force, High Force and High Cup Nick. Last time I was up that way, I started at Barnard Castle, followed the River Tees, whizzed through Middleton stopping only to grab a bag of chips and stayed at Langdon Beck youth hostel before carrying on to Dufton the next morning. Awesome scenery.

nice vid. the tuck shop you mention is on the way to Bellingham. it was particularly memorable- not just for the effort put in but it because I lost the trail then somehow found it by walking in the opposite direction on the PW. lol

You deserve a pizza after that distance you’ve covered so far… again… you’ve show cased the best parts of the trail. I hope the feet are ok. ☺️

I know the 'bar situation' is a total crap shoot. Don't know if you can get them over there but my Son swears by the Lenny & Larrys complete cookie. They are cookies as well and not bad at all....16g of protein, 10g of fiber - they are the best I have found so far - at the other end, we also do the Honey Stinger waffles for a quick pick me up. i know there are some German versions of that as well.
