You are going to have a wall of hydrangeas! I have several Quick Fire and they have grown much higher than expected. One of them is 8 foot tall and almost as wide. They are pretty things!

Over 100°F in the summer?! That's crazy hot! Here in Indiana summers are typically in the 80s for highs but VERY humid. Humidity is between 60% to 80% everyday. When temps reach 90°F or warmer, that is considered rare heat. When it's over 100°F it is historic heat. But with the humidity so high and soils always being moist with rainfall, nothing needs drip tubing here. Some years we don't even use sprinklers for the lawn as we get so much rain, drought is rarely an issue. I can only remember a couple of years I can recall having bad droughts. One year which was in the summer of 2012. Many days over 100°F and only 2" of rain over the whole summer. That was terrible year. Even native plants died. Typically Indiana gets rain at least 3 days per week in the summer, or every other day. But its those summer thunderstorms, it is hot and sunny part of the day, then severe storms drops 3" of rain by the end of that day. We have had over a foot of rain in the past couple weeks, so everything is saturated. Indiana April's are wet wet wet! Glad I don't need to water my plants! 🌱🌿🌷🌹🌻

I am doing a long hedge of 4 firelight and 3 quickfire interspaced. I like the look of the firelight more... but, wanted the lacecap mixed in for pollinators

For Mother’s Day, I got four mini limelight hydrangeas. All my KZfaq watching of this channel is paying off! I can’t stop!! I love this channel!!

Your choice of plant was spot on I love it. I tried growing a hydrangea not sure which one but it died. I live on the Texas coast and our heat gets brutal, maybe I didn't water it enough. I have never had drip hydration and I'm sure that would have helped plus having a timer to turn on the water so I don't have to remember to do it. 😁👩‍🌾

I just lost my momma unexpectedly in late September and I really need to try to get out of this slump with something to do, I know she wouldn’t want me to be so sad like I am all of the time. I’m starting by planting a lilac in my yard in memory of her. They were her favorite. I’m just not sure which one to plant. There’s so many different kinds. I bought one already but still not sure.

Thanks for the tip on browning blooms...I wondered what the problem was. Figured it was my crappy soul or the hot sun...might still be some of the issue but I’ll be sure to regulate water better this year and see if that helps. Thank you as always Laura!!!! So glad I found you years ago.

Once again my day has been inspired by Garden Answer. Off to buy proven winners if I can find them. I think Laura has caused a shortage in my area. Went to 5 nurseries yesterday. Not one Proven Winners hydrangea to be found. Knowing the heads won’t droop, how much sun and water they take and when they bloom is a must. This is why I follow this wonderful couple.

I planted 5 Little Quickfire, little over a month ago now, and in my zone 8 they've just started to bloom. Im so excited because all my daylillies are blooming in full now so my front yard looks glorious.

So pretty, cannot wait to see them grow and bloom.
