WHO IS GHOSTFACE!!? Scream VI (SCREAM 6) comes out in less than 2 months, so before we get an official trailer, I'm going to offer you my predictions based on the cast and character listings. This will include the characters I think will survive, the characters I think will die, and the characters I think will turn out to be the killers.

Another possibility: Dermot Mulroney is the killer because the franchise sometimes likes to do the “dark side” of characters as the killer. Jill = Sidney Charlie = Randy Williams = Dewey In which case maybe David is the surviving character and prof Freddie bites it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@ZachCherry what do you think will happen with Sam's psycho side? Where are they planning on going with that, insane asylum or killer? Also, theory... The Ghostface cult idea might be a real thing. The leader of the cult might be related to Stu, or It could be Tara's father. But there's no one in the cast list I see fitting those descriptions..so idk. 😂

I think mulroney will play a law enforcement type, a new love interest for gale to help her get past deweys death. But ultimately I think gale dies in this one, maybe mulroney is ghostface and they die together, leaving sidney to return in scream7 amid tons of speculation that she will be the last of the originals to be killed off

Has to be one man and one woman as usual, one of the killer has drooped shoulder a woman, one more pronounced one's, I'm thinking Henry czernys character, would explain an older character having fascination with the original mask, perhaps the 3rd killer theory from the original was true and he may have something to do with it, I think the female will be samara weaving or lliana whatever her second name is, unless they go with Gail or Kirby to get them out of the way, motive will be interesting probably just your typical crazy muricans that didn't have access to reliable mental health services.

The idea of two or more killers operating coterminously but being unaware of each other is really interesting, and could create a pretty interesting dynamic at the end where they attack each other. I also like the idea of a killer surviving, or at least going under the radar for the entire run of the movie, only revealed to the audience in the closing shot.

I just realized that no killer has gone to jail. They’ve always been killed. It would be interesting to have them be incarcerated and have a hand in helping or manipulating the next killer that takes over. Like puppets on his/her string while they’re still alive. Or even being an odd source of “help” to the new batch of victims.

They were originally going to have Stu come back to be the killer in Scream 3 after being incarcerated, but decided against it after the Columbine High School Massacre though.

Kirby = new Randy. The writers have always said they kicked themselves for killing Randy off too early, so now they rectify that mistake by giving Kirby a second chance. Kirby fits the role well, she survived the Woodsboro killings and is obsessed with horror movies.

I think they are trying to make mindy the new randy… (but they haven’t done a good job. Just lazy writing),but I’d prefer it to be Kirby. She proved her worth in scream 4 with her movie knowledge. Problem is that writers don’t like to have too many of the same character around, so one of them Will have to go!

I would flip Tara and Sam that is subverting expectations, the older sister dying to save or for her younger sister makes more sense, also Tara the underdog becoming the true hero would be dope. We also have a more emotional investment in her.

For me the reason why Tara is more shocking is because a lot of people, including me, have thought the same thing as you. A lot of people also see Tara as the final girl because she has the more traditional suffering / clinging onto life / fighting back role as an underdog, like you said. Whereas Sam is a lot stranger and unpredictable in what her story will be. Plus like Zack said a Tara death would be a fucking gutpunch

@@secondeye1574 It's one of those, "I know that you know that I know that you know" situations. Cause to me, I see that point but that has always put Sam in my eyes as the MC. So, her surviving, is not surprising at all You also have to wonder the star power they may want with Jenna Ortega. Could be a big name attached moving forward like Courtney Cox

@@Blue777Dragon I definitely agree there's an element of a subversion of a subversion of a subversion and it can be read into and stopped at whatever point is convenient for any person's particular prediction. I just think for most people it works as a subversion: For general audiences, Jenna Ortega is the star and like you said Tara is the underdog who climbs her way to the top -- to be tragically shot down in her second film would be really shocking. And for people who overanalyze like me, Sam having a death to do with protecting Tara, or Tara having to kill her if she goes evil, or any death leaving Tara with having to step up to the role feels like something that would be a twist the writers would think about, but not necessarily do. I also feel like a Tara death instead of Sam follows the same principle as a Dewey one instead of Gale. They're both the characters that serve as the tether between the other core characters, and the ones that are the most likeable but not necessarily the ones with the most potential.

@@secondeye1574 Honestly, maybe it IS expected but in terms of serving the characters' stories rather than a "gotcha" moment, I think it makes sense for one of them to bow out if this is a trilogy in the next movie. Sure, it is probably expected but it feels like unless the writing is too notch, you're just wasting potential to keep a character like Mindy (WHO I LOVE but she has no real depth) to survive rather than Sam or Tara

@@Blue777Dragon I suppose it depends on what your personal vision is. Sam dying could give Tara an arc where she's forced to grow up very quickly and learn how to protect herself, whereas Tara dying could be the final straw that breaks Sam mentally after she tried so hard to protect her. To me I've just seen enough of the former and the latter feels so out there and unexpected that I'd be intrigued in where the writers would take it. I don't know if I agree that Mindy being alive is wasting potential. There's a lot you can do with her character, not even arc/development wise but just having a Randy-esque character in the Scream franchise gives you a lot of metatextual room to play with. There's a reason Kevin Williamson regretted killing off Randy in Scream 2, and I can't see the new writers following the same mistake by killing off Mindy in her second film

Because we've finally left Woodsboro, I really like the idea that it doesn't matter who "the killer" is here. Like, we're totally getting at least one of the cast as Ghostface, but because we're "in the open now", and because in this universe, so many people have taken up the mantle, I like the idea that the movie ends with there beingANOTHER Ghostface; completely separate from whatever storyline is ongoing. Copycat culture going global; Ghostface almost becoming an avatar in this universe that deranged people use to kill. It'll never be over, because Ghostface isn't just some "small town" legend anymore; it's global.

I think Mindy is a goner, not necessarily in the scene that was shown in the teaser trailer but I think she’ll get a cool chase scene then just when we think she’s safe, it happens. I definitely see a Helen (IKWYDLS) vibe, good chase scene then death

I think that was a prankster. Because we see in photo leaks that Ghostface’s mask is dirty and cracked, but this Ghostface’s mask is clean. And also I don’t think Ghostface will kill someone’s in the middle of a subway with lots of people

I can't imagine Tara dying. Thinking about the first scene and hospital scene in Scream 5, you immediately want to root for her and she has that intelligent survivor final girl energy. I wouldn't be surprised if she dies before we even reach the third act, but I just don't want that to happen. Sam losing her sister and being able to carry on, I don't like that. Tara is what keeps Sam's character alive, I don't see Sam as an effective stand-alone lead role without Tara. I love their sister dynamic.

One thing I'd love to see in a Scream film is actually having one killer caught in the second act, whether killed or arrested and the third act is trying to figure out who they were working with. I think the double killer reveal has been done enough. Split the reveals. Samara Weaving is playing Liv's sister right? If Samara isn't killed in the opening then my theory is either Dermot or Henry are secretly hers and Liv's dad and they are the killers because they blame Sam and Chad for Liv getting killed.

I believe the killers are: - Samara Weaving’s character, who will be a fake-out opening kill, who turns out later to be one of the killers. She is Richie’s sister & equally obsessed with movies. - Henry Czerny’s character. He integrates himself into Sam’s life as her therapist/psychiatrist. He is Richie’s father out for revenge. - A 3rd killer, working independently from Samara Weaving & Henry Czerny.

@@chadlangen5857 It could be a fake-out to distract us from her being a suspect - they’ll need to do a fake-out if they’re not going to make it obvious who the 3 killers are by the end. She’s also the only person in the trailer “attacked” by someone wearing a new ghostface mask instead of the aged ghostface mask. Scream 5 flipped the script on the opening kill by having the “kill” survive. Scream 6 could do the same, but this time have the survivor actually be a killer. I think they’ll make us think she dies in the opening, only for her to be revealed at the end.

Yes! And she serves more purpose. We all love Sid but let’s face it she can be boring at times. And Neve seems to be phoning it in at times. Gale is practically a detective at this point and is useful in helping with cases so why not?

*HEAVY SPOILERS, THERE WAS A HUGE LEAK ABOUT THIS MOVIE, DONT PRESS READ MORE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SPOILED, THIS SHOWS THE KILLERS AND THEIR MOTIVES* Scream 6 moves the action to New York and with bloody murders occurring in a new location, there’s a new Detective investigating them, Detective Baily (Dermot Mulroney) who just happens to be the very Ghostface Killer he’s “looking for.” This twist in Scream 6 is a common one for the franchise going back to the first film when Billy Loomis was “attacked” by the Ghostface Killer, that time it was Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard) faking the murder. Well in addition to Detective Baily, his accomplice this time is revealed to be Ethan (Jack Champion), another new character to the franchise in Scream 6. While fans were theorizing that Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega) or Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere) might be behind the mask, it’s a bit disappointing to find out that instead it’s just a rehash of Scream 2. Both Baily and Ethan reveal they are related to Stu, making the most recent murders revenge for Sidney (Neve Campbell) killing Stu off in the first film. So not only have the killers been spoiled, so has the motive, and in the start of the clip it’s clear that in addition to Tara, her sister Sam (Melissa Barrera) at least live long enough for the reveal. Not seen in the clip is Kirby, which means she might just be one of the Ghostface Killer’s victims.

@Ivan Renard sure "a friend of yours" and my friend is the president of the United States. But that is besides the point. I am going to remain respectful and explain this in a better way. We thought we had the Scream 6 script leaked. The script. Not the movie. So we believed it. But something wasn't right. The motive was different and Quinn as a killer was there too. So why did this happen? Short answer is, this was the original/old script before it HAD to be rewritten and THE MOTIVE changed. Why did it have to be rewritten? Well this script was written before even recording scream 6. And what is the motive related to? Sidney. Sidney had to be in the movie for the motive to work. Because then the killers would be taking revenge on someone who isn't even in the movie. And guess what. After they wrote the script, they got the news that Sidney wasnt gonna be in scream 6 so they had to change it. And this type it would be them related to Richie that was the script. The Quinn not being a killer could have been a finak decision or a mistake because it wasn't in the original script or maybe it was someone else. Where is the proof that the motive changed because of sidney? WELL, RADIO SILENCE SAID IT THEMSELVES IN AN INTERVIEW THAT "The motive was related to Sidney and because Nev Campbell wasnt in this movie, we had to change it" or something along the lines of that. Do you get me now? Also I totally understand you, I knkw how fandoms can get these days but I assure you that trolling is not my thing and I make sure I backup my sources before speaking.

I actually think Tara and Sam are both equally possible for Final Girls. Sure Sam is literally the new Sidney from the looks of it but I'd love it if the unexpected more underdog character of the two ends up surviving.

No way two women unless this cult theory proves right, in the image of the person wearing the old ghost face mask they have masculine shoulders under there costume and very familiar looking eyes, I'll spot them right away when I see the film, then there's the image of the ghost face in the alleyway, definite a woman, small slim type too, hasn't got enough meat on her bones, the subway one is definitely a female too but noticeably stronger cause she could lift mindy up, she's probably the really crazy bitch.

I completely agree with Samara Weaving being the opening kill, she’s wayyyyy to popular and too obvious to be the killer and with how obvious the killers were in 5, I feel like Radio Silence will have wanted to be a bit more secretive with who their killers are. If she isn’t the opening kill, then maybe she’s the 2nd or 3rd kill, similar to SMG in Scream 2

SO glad your prediction about "David"/Danny was wrong. He was the best new character for sure, just a good solid dude. Outside of the physical setting, his character embodied New York more than any other.

I agree that the opening will be Samara but I think it’ll be Henry’s character that dies with her. I feel this way because of course the two actors worked together in Ready or Not. I think maybe they’ll play off that partnership there and make them both the opening. Having them be father/daughter and be killed together in the opening would be different. Maybe Tony is an early kill as well. I might be inclined to agree with you on the killers, except I’d replace Henry with Dermot. I do think Josh’s character could be a red herring. But equally wouldn’t be surprised if he is a killer either. Also agree it could be Tara that dies. She would make the most sense to really traumatise Sam.

It'd be strange a new character being the killer in a film of survivors what possibly could be there motive unless there just another crazy American, has to be something personal if there targeting survivors of the other massacres, maybe someone they cared about didn't survive something, doesn't necessarily have to be a murder, could be cancer or something and it warped there pysche to the point they don't people should be surviving these scenarios that's what I think anyway

Also I LOVE your ditzy sorority sister idea. An actually meaningful and fresh way to have Scream 2 parallels while playing with it is exactly what I'm hoping for with Scream 6

@@seanneumann5790 Why not? I just spent 5 seconds looking it up and there's news from a day ago where a group of teenage girls ganged up on a dude and stabbed him to death. I also did another search and found two younger teenagers who killed an old woman, Cindy Collier and Shirley Wolf are their names I don't get how it's not believable in a movie series about serial killers working together to create a scene with killing people for a specific purpose and not getting caught until the end in a big dramatic showdown, for both of them to be girls Combine that with the fact that there are plenty of female serial killers, how is it unrealistic to have two of them working together in the Scream universe?

I personally dont think it’s unrealistic and it could even be decent but I do think it would fall heavily in line with Hollywood and their current agenda. I’d rather it be a guy/lady duo with maybe a red herring for a third fake out.

@@zedorian6547 If there are two female killers, they have to be very careful. Not to make the ghost face killer throwing victims like it is nothing because that can be unrealistic. I personally like the idea of two female killers but the execution is key. So i think them outsmarting victims (playing mind games) and taking them by surprise would be the best execution for it. Just my opinion.

I love these videos of yours... so here are some takes for discussion. 1 - I think I'd pick the same survivors, but I don't think Ortega is dying. From a shock POV it would be impactful, I agree on that...but I just think the producers have here a rising star connected to the franchise and that could help them make money in future installments. 2 - I didn't think about it before, but I like the idea you gave of 3 killers where 1 of them is independent and even lives. This makes the story so much open and non linear and it could be a way to refresh the formula. It would also give more space for characters like Gale to be in a parallel plot, where one killer has another agenda... But we don't need to know that right from the start, once a plot twist like that in the middle of the movie could be super interesting. For some reason I think the David character could be that killer. Afro descendants as killers in scary movies isn't a thing is it?

i have 2 theories about tara. From the one hand side, i don't think they will let themselves kill her, because of her publicity. She has already brought sooo many new fans to the scream franchise and my guess is that this movie is gonna make 200 mil + because of that. By killing her off, they will most probably lose most of those fans, making scream 7 a dissappointment. However on the other hand if they plan on ending with scream 7, then killing her may set up for a totaly unexpected 7th movie where Sam goes ham after the trauma of losing her sister and becomes ghostface and we get a scream movie where ghostface wins(possibly), which i would actually really like. I feel like that was the path they wanted to go towards, but because of jenna's succes they will switch it up. I even have a slight feeling that they might kill sam off and make her the new final girl, and therefore face of the franchise, so that they gain more attention. I guess we will have to wait till march to know the answers.

Besides we are just speculating about what happens we do not know what is in the movie also we all are biased towards a certain outcome I will watch without predicting who dies and survives it is pointless we do not know what the script said it is fun to talk about who might die and why but all that is just fun don’t take predictions seriously we don’t know just watch the movie and have fun.

Once I heard Hayden Panettiere was reprising Kirby, and after seeing the set photos with the different Ghostface outfits in a theater, I had assumed her character was curating and documenting the Woodsboro legacy. I figured because she was a serious movie geek in the Randy/Mindy vein her character would probably be overseeing the history of the murders. Kirby would be the type to not only be documenting the murders but also be fighting new generations and challenging the conspiracy theorists that have muddled the history of the Woodsboro killings (i.e. viewing herself as taking an intellectual approach rather than exploitive). This would dovetail Kirby, Gale, a professor, students, and the main core being stalked into a cohesive meeting point.

I feel like the directors have heard the criticisms on Sam , and will hopefully shift focus over to Tara as everyone loves her.That makes more sense to me but if Sam is the main protagonist I’m not mad I quite like her character but I think it’d be cool if she becomes a killer , she seemed really unhinged at the end of Scream 5

The teaser could be spoiler in this sense. There are three ghost faces on the subway. We are led to believe some are just costumes, but maybe they aren't....Also I love homage to Ready or Not and Samara Weaving in the teaser (the bride with the ammo vest walking down the steps). The thing is, when Neve announced that she’s not gonna be in the next sequel, they postponed the productions for a couple of days during rewrites, since she had (and this is now confirmed) a larger role. So they changed Kirby’s character and brought Samara weaving into the movie. Since she wasn’t originally planned to appear in the movie and gave her the role of kirby, and Kirby got rewritten, I can’t see Samara being the opening kill. I think that Tony isn’t the opening kill neither, but could be a killer. Same for dermot and Liana. I likely believe that Tara dies too, but I don’t think that both twins made it out alive. But Matt and Tyler already confirmed that they take huge risks this time around. So I’m curious what will happen in this movie. And for gale: she wanted to die already in 2 and 4. Since she’s involved in the production, I believe that she’s gonna die too.

Tara being killed off is a really bold prediction and I kind of like it. Honestly surprised I didn't see it coming but it works perfectly. I definitely feel like even though she's a fan favorite and obviously it'd make sense to want to keep Jenna Ortega on board, if you think about the Core Four, Tara is probably the one with the last potential character-wise. The twins have a lot that can be done with interpersonal dynamics, Mindy is a very odd person and Chad can be the straightman, and Sam obviously has so much that is gonna be developed Billy-wise. But Tara... eh, she was already very trauma-ridden in 5, so they can't do the same in the sequel surely. Plus she feels a lot younger than the other three and was pretty isolated so it's not like you're losing much relationship-wise -- and of course this could do wonders for Sam's character leading up to the final instalment in the trilogy.

In some released set photos they show the killer using a mask that looks very old and tattered for some of the movie. My guess is that the reason the mask the killer uses will look very old and worn is because it's the mask of a previous killer. I have 3 possible theories: 1. Josh Segarra is secretly Roman's son and the mask he's using is Roman's. 2. Josh Segarra is secretly Billy's brother and the mask he's using is Billy's or Ms.Loomis's. 3. Stu never died and he is returning in his same mask. The tattered almost electrocuted look of the mask would be a great nod to him. Some set photos show them in a horror movie museum of sorts where he may steal the original mask from to use it. I think the second killer will be Carly, but I have a feeling the main killer will be Josh Segarra's character and he will be related to a previous killer.

Great video some very astute observations I think. I think Mulroney is gonna be a surprise relation to a previous victim or killer. I also just saw that Gale’s camera man from scream two Joel (Duane Martin) is back as well! He’s like 57, but whatever right. I’m excited to see him back, he had some of the best funny moments in scream 2. Is he gonna get dropped into your dead man walking list or survivor… my guess is cameo, so survive.

Killers: Evan and Carly … I think Evan will play more of the role of a supportive character who has obsession of Halloween/GhostFace as uses the Dirty Old Mask to show his level of obsession. Carly on the other hand I feel will be related to someone one way or another being a reason for revenge due to that Scream 6 poster showcasing previous victims and killers. Also: I truly believe it’s gonna be 2 Killers and they’ll save the 3 Killer for Scream 7 to be cohesive with Scream 3 Amount of Killers.

I agree with your 3 killers theory. When i saw the teaser trailer, there were 3 ghostfaces taking the subway. Now I don’t think those 3 people were THE killers. I just thought maybe it was the filmmakers way of subtlety hinting it to us? You could argue that it was only done for the “which one is it” aspect. But 3 is a specific number. Idk im probably overthinking it.

I expect Sam to die over Tara tbh. The reason that I think so is because I feel that it would be more unexpected than Tara just because so many fans are expecting Sam to get more character development and be fleshed out more. That and the fact that I don’t think they’d kill off Jenna Ortega since she’s huge in the horror community right now.
