I knew and had a very interesting neighbor for years that was retired special forces. He had these all OVER his acreage. Some were littered under leaves/pine needles but tied together with fishing line. So if you stepped on one, whether you stuck it in flesh or just caught it on your boot/shoe. You would pull others toward you so when you moved you would step on more. All kinds of nasty surprises. I think he was somewhat disappointed nobody was ever stupid enough to try and sneak on his property.

@@miro6017 ya see, he just encouraged people to create infectious booby traps, and then to place them along common walking paths or trails. Intentionally infecting someone with disease is illegal and creating booby traps is illegal, especially on public grounds. there is a thing known as "sleeping with one eye open", and I can tell you from combat experience, it's a real thing. All mammals are capable of sleeping half of their brain at a time, while the other half remains conscious and alert. You can self protect yourself as you sleep. But you have to be in tune with your instincts. For example, dolphins do this to avoid drowning while sleeping.

Any time you set a trip wire, if you have the option, at face level, a foot in the direction travel, tie a second wire. If someone happens to notice the first, they're likely to jump it or step over it instead of cut it and risking a noisemaker. When they do, they get clothes lined and it may be unexpected enough to make them fall all the way down, likely across the original tripwire.

If you just want an alarm, get some of the clip on fishing pole bells. Get some small screw in eyelets. Make a perimeter at 12 and 24 inches high around your camp site with tight fishing line and hang a few bells on the line around the perimeter. Make sure you get the brass bells like the ozark trail ones. They ring pretty loud and will wake you up. It’s also a trip hazard for bipedal critters that might want to snoop.

They are blocking a few of your videos. They pop up in the shorts, but don't load. At first I thought my internet was down, but found it was only some of them. Are you on rumble? It's a good platform

KZfaq has a lot of bugs at the moment. I often see videos where it says '0 comments' but there are tons of comments. Try clearing your cookies and refreshing your browser., It isnt in you tubes interest to block videos unless they have to. Even videos without ads have commercial value to them (it bumps there stats which helps them sell reach, and they can use/sell the data about you that they get from the video)

u also want trip lines to coincide with the placement of these hooks so people hit them when avoiding the other! if one is spotted, they will likely not see the other! its better to have too many than too little! and if you put the can Near yourself* you are more likely to be alerted to their presence!! 🧐🤔🤨🤷🏼😁👍🏻🖤👏🏻

Knew a guy in Texarkana that used these for his security system at his pawn shop. He had about a hundred of these on a frame, so he could lower them about face level, with one every couple of square feet, when he left every night. I asked him if he ever caught anyone and he said, "No, but I got here one morning and my door was busted, the first hook was straightened out and bloody".
