It took a while, but here's the new PSMoveService-EX tutorial.
It's from start-to-finish complete setup.

Timocop Just updated PSMS-EX Virtual Device Manager to v9.0, Major UI changes, and Updated SteamVR Driver. I always used PSMoveService/VRBridge or Driver4vr or combination alot of overhead performace. I just found PSMS-EX a couple of months ago did't know how to use at first to get steamVr working with it, until found out you had to press OSC server button you showed in old tutorial. But now lol Timocop has A new Version just after you made this tutorial. :) Ty for help. Ya I use Steamvr With Ivry and Playstation/PSVR Headset I mostly play flight Sims And Racing games and use controllers for head/body Movement tracking. Going to check out the 9.0 version now

why do you need an extra led tracker for head tracking? will you not be able to move your head or something when playing vr? i dont understand

Yeah kinda poor timing on my part. I knew he was working on a new version only after I already recorded it. I also might make a separate tutorial to show how to use generic webcams instead of ps3 eyes with VDM)

Great tutorial, I used it and it's defenetly better than driver4vr, it was fun finally being able to play beat saber without my controllers lagging. I don't use a psvr and I'm using ps3 not PS4 controllers so yeah I do have quite a lot of issues + ivry phone drivers and psmoveservice don't work well together, it's broken and I don't know if it got fixed, anyways hope you keep making content like this, it's hard seeing people that still wanna keep up with this after vr got so cheap.

Thanks. VR in general got very cheap lately, and I hope that with this tutorial at least people that already have a psvr will be able to use it again, or buy it for cheap (I got my psvr with controllers and the ps3 eye cameras for less than 75€, cheaper than any other VR headset)

I heard this could work great with slime vr fbt which I’m getting plus a quest 3 as I already have 2 ps cameras and a ps eye camera plus the move controllers, I do have the PSVR but the quest will be more comfy to use

Thank fot this tutorial. But seems like these apps has changed a lot. Ui and so on. Also I have never got both psmoves working with device manager, only one of them appears in steamvr. No problem in driver4vr. And ivry never receives hmd tracking from it. Again... no problems with driver4vr 🤣 Damn, that is strange

I can use the blue LEDs of the PSVR controller for face tracking, because I only have 2 PSMove

If you're having trouble getting it to work, please join the PSMoveServiceEx discord, there you can ask for help. discord.gg/fjddpRD94K EDIT: PSMoveServiceEx just got updated finally bringing a fully functional PSVR driver. It's basically a one-click install, but a tutorial is coming in the following days!

This tutorial worked well for activating PS Move on my PC but the M.A.M.E game emulator does not recognize it...I want to play TIME CRISIS 2 but I can't find a way for the emulator to recognize it...I used PSMoveService-EX + FreePieBridge + FreePie...in Windows 11 it does work, but not in M.A.M.E...even if I modify the emulator options, it does not recognize the PS Move controller...any suggestions?? Thank you.

Yes, using this method almost all VR games should work, although you might need to play around with controller bindings.

You need the extra led tracker for positional tracking. Without it, you can still look around, but you won't be able to move.

Be sure to check out iVRys and Driver4VRs new PSVR tracking mode It even uses the official camera :D

I tried both. iVRy monado tracker was very shaky, and controller tracking was way worse than PSMS-EX. Driver4VR made my CPU spike to 100%, although tracking wasn't bad. I still prefer doing it this way as it allows for 360° tracking and the head tracking doesn't lag behind (both iVRy and Driver4VR do)

First of all try redoing the SteamVR Room Setup. if that fails try the following: If you're using the Virtual HMD tracking with an LED tracker, try seeing in the Controller Settings in the Offets tab, change to Advanced view and zero out all of the offsets (or try doing the same thing in HMD Settings). If you're using another HMD like an oculus to get headset tracking, you can go in Tracker Settings, and in the Offsets tab change the offsets there until it matches the real-world positions.

There could be a few reasons, but i'd first try with another bluetooth adapter. Refer to the Wiki on supported bluetooth adapters, a generic one might not work. github.com/Timocop/PSMoveServiceEx/wiki/Hardware-Requirements#%EF%B8%8F-bluetooth-requirements

u can but is not good, it needs to run at 60 fps and cameras normaly work at 30 or 24 fps

2 cameras will work, but you will be limited to roughly 180°. To get 360° tracking you would need 4 cameras mounted on each side of the room.

Putroppo non completamente. Però se usi il nuovo driver di PSMoveService per il PSVR, è ridotto considerevolmente rispetto ad iVRy, e il tasto ricentra funziona pure.

If you're talking about the PS4 Camera, right now it's not supported by PSMoveService. What you can use are normal webcams. you can set them up in Virtual Device Manager.

you should explain this issue more, what i belive is that you didnt calibrate your poses correcly so you should go back and re do that step, if it still didnt work, try the new version of vdm as it has support for third party trackers centering

For me switching positional tracking filters to kalman helped a lot. No more positional noise
