This is nice! I’ve not seen a bagel recipe using sunflower seed flour. I actually like the flavor of sunflower seed flour. So I will definitely try it. I need to find your instructions on making it. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Hi Janet Good Morning Great recipe I will try this one....was wondering why you don't include carb and calorie counts in your recipes I would love to know this, especially for the Focaccia bread Bagels and the garlic breadsticks....since I am making that (FOCACCIA) today ....I am using Almond flour, coconut flour, and egg white protein powder....didn't buy the right sunflower seeds to make the flour and didn't want to try the Hemp protein powder this time... let me know if you can give me a guesstimate I would really appreciate that...Julianna

Janet, Have you ever heard of jumbo raisen cookies, they were soft and cake like texture, moms used to make them when we were little 60s? Or maybe 70s. Omg if you could duplicate that recipe ... it would be like a dream come true for so many of us keto peeps .... how do you convert reg. Flour recipes to almond flour or coconut flour, is their a conversion thingy

You can usually substitute almond flour as a 1 to 1 substitute for regular flour with a few tweaks with the binders. I have to be dairy free so, sad most recipes these days have dairy. 😟 What do You think would happen if I used egg instead of dairy? Do You think there is a better sub? Double batch with 1 egg & some coconut yogurt with acacia fiber? Love Your recipes!! Just can't have many of them these days without some changes. Thank You for sharing Your skills with us. 😍

I don't know if you can substitute the dairy using only eggs in this recipe. You can substitute the Greek yogurt for coconut or almond milk yogurt. You can also use full fat coconut cream or soft tofu. If you do substitute the dairy you may need to adjust the amount. Just add enough to create a dough that is moist, not sticky and can hold together when it's shaped. I hope this helps.

GOOD MORNING JANET .....I made the Focaccia bread yesterday and it was so great but dryish I didn't have the sunflower seed as I said before it was lacking salt but a bit dry what would you say caused that with my mixture ....It was delish in taste but salt and dry ??? Thank you in advance for your help...Julianna Next Im trying the bagels

That's great I'm glad this turned out for you. If you didn't use sunflower seed flour it's lacking the fats in the flour that help create moisture. The sunflower seed flour also gives a "nutty" taste so I don't need a lot of salt. If the dough is too dry you can add a tablespoon of yogurt or sour cream. The amount of salt and seasonings is all up to you so you can adjust that to your taste.

I haven't tried this with Bamboo fiber Bamboo fiber is more absorbent than sunflower seed flour so you might need more yogurt which might make the bagels a little thick but you can try it.

You can use the closed caption settings as well. Hopefully that will help you understand her. I don't find she talks fast at all but I'm used to much faster speaking people than her.
