SPEAKS! As a DJ at wiseguy backed Long Island nightclub Speaks in 1982 it was Motley Crue x 10! Hear my stories about the legendary Speaks nightclub on Long Island. The owner was wiseguy backed and friends with the local politicians Nothing was too crazy for Speaks!

I went to Speaks on Long Island in the 1980’s when it was a dance club 😍 Awesome times ❤️ Now I am 57 years old

I lived at Speaks from 1978 -1983ish. No picture on the paper ID and my friend Andre Gregoretti was the doorman so I was in at 15. Twisted sister and Zebra and the Good Rats ( I believe) I remember being the last night it was a Rock and Roll club and they were remodeling to reopen as a dance club Blondie etc... Used to frequent Hammerheads and Malibu and 231 also. Basile had me tossed and warned one night when i got involved with a wiseguys daughter. Freedom came with a cost but it was a price worth paying to my mind. There is no soul left in anything these days

what was the rock club behind tri county flea market in levittown? i thought that was speaks. i was born in 1975 so little before my time. i wish i was born ten years earlier the late 70s early 80 seemed like best time to be in your late teens and twenties

I believe that was Spit. It was the disco Uncle Sams then they added a new wave night called Spit

I recently bought your book and I must tell you that I really enjoyed reading it! your life is a great story to tell, it made me understand the context of living that time in music. Are you happy with the way things turned out? You have experienced many crazy stuff, it must have been hard at times... But hey! I'm glad you're here to tell it hahaha Great video! Thank you for reading it! Glad you enjoyed it. Yes things have turned out good for me . Everything happens for a reason and things end up how they’re supposed to , I believe. I’m grateful for my life and wouldn’t have changed anything really. Thank you 🙏
