The introductory breakdown is absolutely spot on. Women constantly confuse the fact that a man willing to sleep with u means that he is interested in commitment! The whole thing she mentioned about females being a 5 having an ego like they are a 9 because a man who is a 9 is willing to sleep with her. That doesn’t mean he is interested in committing to her, especially if he views her as a 5 when he knows he is around a 9.

Listening to Rebecca speak just makes me feel good about my future.

One thing that a lot of women don’t understand is a lot of today’s men aren’t trying to chase women anymore without some sort of reciprocity. If a man is the only one initiating interactions and if he stops and there’s no contact from the woman within x amount of time then more often than not a man will just leave her be and keep it moving.

Much respect to Ms. Pope. She always comes off authentic. And she is full of wisdom. One thing I disagree with is her statement on age. At 30 years old we need to be doing more than "figuring ourselves out". We need to have some things actually figured out. By that age we have a full decade of adulthood under our belts. Plus, women have a biological clock to contend with (assuming they want children). Finally, at some point dating and moving from person to person does more harm than good. You can't keep getting emotionally connected to people and breaking it up just to start all over again. I believe that, like the body, the heart recovers easier when we are younger. As you get older your emotions become more complex. Going from partner to partner just creates more collateral damage emotionally. At 30 you need to know what the hell you're trying to do with relationships and life in general.

I love how she talks so honestly. It was almost more digestible coming from a beautiful, knowledge woman like her. If I wasn't already sold on her, the fact that she really believes in therapy was a big seller for me. Also, I didn't realize Atlanta was that bad lol I live in Metro Atlanta.

This is great stuff. I grew up from a very early age learning to have distrust, contempt, and hatred for girls and women. This came from observing the way my mom acted toward my dad, and the way my older sister bullied me and my younger brother. When my dad talked about mom or women in general, it was always in a negative light - the message being women cannot be trusted , they just want to take from men, etc. These "teachings" were further reinforced by things I saw in school, TV, movies, etc. I had no one to mentor me properly. So, I stayed away from them - didn't look at them, speak to them, or interact with them unless I had to. In my teens, I didn't understand why all the other guys were so keen to chase girls when all they wanted was a guy's money and whatever he could give her. Take, take, take. By age 15 I had psychologically shut down in this department. When I went in the Army at age 18 I had to work with and for females. I had no problem interacting with them professionally - and over time I came to slowly realize women are just people, too. Girls would approach me on occasion since junior high, but because of my lack of social interaction skills I normally was not able to read such verbal and non-verbal cues and I would just be confused as to why some girls was trying to talk to me and I would just shy away and avoid them. Very often girls trying to approach would just make me angry. I had the internal attitude of "you're not getting my fucking money!!" and would be cold and/or rude to make them go away. I never hurt a girl, but I would fantasize about kicking them hard in the chest and slamming them against the wall for having the temerity to try to talk to me. I had been so beaten down as a child by my family and at school that the very concept that a girl could like me was a completely foreign concept. I finally had my first kiss, sex, and girlfriend as a 23yo sergeant - and that was only because she pursued me for months and made all the first moves. I never would have. I had a sparse dating life in my 20s, with dates/sex generally only coming months or years apart and my negative beliefs toward them slowly faded. I finally met my wife at age 28 and married at age 30. My attitude toward women finally made a significant change about 3.5 years ago (at age 45 and 15 years into my marriage) when, out of curiosity, I started watching KZfaq and audiobooks on PUA, dating, and social coaches. These caused huge epiphanies on the nature of women and how many opportunities I had missed in my youth, and it much improved my marriage because I finally had an understanding of women. At the same time, I came to the conclusion that I am probably undiagnosed high functioning autism/Asperger's - which accounted for my lifelong serious issues with social interaction, reading verbal and non-verbal cues, making friends and girlfriends, performing in leadership positions, etc. I've been watching and listening to that stuff religiously since and it has made a huge difference both socially and professionally.

Why, the older she gets the better looking she is becoming. Peace in life shows.

I feel like she hit it on the head with how men want someone they don't have to be so "hard" around. That safe place is comforting and I think it goes back to a lot of men's relationships with their moms. The first place most men (not every man because everyone doesn't have that privilege) were able to be vulnerable.

I think it’s fair to say that people should take their time before getting married but for women this should be clarified. Women shouldn’t wait until they are 30 because you have to consider the implied time it’s going take to get to know a person, connect, marry, enjoy each other and procreate if they want. That process takes time and years. So playing until you are 28 and then to start dating with a purpose could put you in a desperate situation. Instant real connections are rare. Dating with a purpose is not a smooth quick process.

This was such an eye opening interview. I really learned alot about trauma and how its connected to attractive women. Rebecca extremely intelligent, so are you Hafiz.

The fact that I started crying halfway through the podcast is just crazy, but expected, but at the same time hurtful and I just kept agreeing and agreeing with every single thing they said, and tears kept running, and I would say that this hour and 50 minutes were the best 1h50min I've ever spent in my whole entire life :)

shes 45 and looks amazing. I can only imagine she was a KILLER in her 20s. Very wise words. It is something that I as a man who is always focused on increasing value had to come to terms with. Rebecca is wonderful. I was happy to hear her make him confront the reality of female trauma. “Ooh, it’s getting kind of heavy” yeah life is heavy. It’s incredibly common. It’s amazing women get to 30 feeling soft at all. A lot of “hard” women are just hurt girls that desperately wish they could be vulnerable with someone. This conversation was so therapeutic!

Childhood experience is the 1st thing to ask about, because If you will eventually care for them in the future, you don’t want to trigger them, you have to protect them from experiencing it again and want to understand them when they are triggered. Many people you share your childhood experience will use that against you and not stand by you while you fix yourself, so be careful about sharing that too.

I love her! One thing I will say is that people’s “types” will and can change. I think people need to pray to ask God who their partner is.

I wish more modern women where more down to earth and realistic like her.

This woman is heavenly to listen to, she is open minded and willing to listen and in response gives the most logical response. As a woman, it's very refreshing knowing women like her are here to create bridges between us and the outside world.

The biggest point raised in this vid is female trauma,its a BIG BIG issue that’s under estimated within the Caribbean community(black community worldwide)i realised this from my teenage yrs from my mother’s work in a Woman Aid refuge & the unofficial phone conversations & dinner table chats...honestly speaking what woman have to put up with(in ALL areas of society)is very very shocking.

This is a great conversation. I can't stop listening to Rebecca, her voice and manner of speaking just has a silky flow that's hard to resist.

Rebecca really got me thinking a lot about my life. Hope everyone is able to have a bless day and keep in pushing in life and never giving up ! 💯👏

I grew up with both of my parents and they stay together and they do love each other however I did not like their relationship. My mom is a nag and my dad is just chill and lets her do basically almost anything. My dad did not teach me how men think at all. But he did leave a good example about how a man is to treat women and present himself and take care of himself. My mother does not take care of herself but she did teach me and showed me how to clean very well and take care of a home and cook. My mother is not nurturing however my father is be or will force himself to have patience in understanding. The missing blanks I had to figure out myself through educating myself. My mom is not very feminine and she even had told me a couple different times that I was too vain when I would be dressing myself up. unfortunately I let that internalize And I only dressed up mostly on nice occasions. The biggest part is dating yourself and loving yourself. it'swhat I had to do. there were times where I accidentally attracted the person that I absolutely wanted in my life but lost them because I was missing the blanks. And they were missing blanks as well. But because I was into them I would encourage them in a way about what was missing However I did not receive the same in return due to the fact they didn't know exactly what it was and how to articulate it to me or they just were playing the game and didn't care enough to tell me and let me fail in that particular area. I am 32 years old and the internal battle that I go through about feeling like I'm a wonderful woman and then turning around and feeling like I'm not desirable is one of the biggest challenges I have to master. attracting an established and stable man is challenging when I don't know where to look and I'm still in practice of learning the things that men value in a woman

So much wisdom & perspective Mrs Pope! Loved the balanced perspective you gave to this conversation. I started on my healing journey at 23 and I couldn't afford therapy at the time. But after about 2yrs reading, praying, meditating and REALLY doing the work, I manifested a therapist who offered to work with me at a time when I could comfortably afford it. Be intentional with your journey ladies and gents, you're no one's hero but your own.

I came here for the content of unrealistic dating standards.... but the conversation about sexual abuse of women is both eye opening & heartbreaking. That part needs to be highlighted & shared as well.

I agree with like 95% of what was said on this video. Here is a tip for the women out here. Waiting until you are in your 30s to get married is bad for women if you plan on having children. What Ive noticed is that women who around 30-40 range are trying to get married tomorrow and have kids by next week because of their biological clock. Women if you are positive that you want to have kids, you should be searching for that guy soon after you graduate from college not after 30. If you use the strategy that Rebecca suggested for women in their 30s to date men in their 40s, more than likely a guy in his 40s is probably divorced, has kids of his own already and most of time isnt looking to have children. The strategy that Rebecca suggested would primarily work for women who dont plan on having any children if they wait until they are in their 30s.

The whole rape an abuse thing that she brought up is interesting because if so many women are sexually abused at a young age then clearly we should solve that problem first before even considering a partnership with someone.

So much honest real talk in this episode. "There's very few really truly healed people walking around." Rebecca hit the nail on the head as usual. Whatever has happened in your past, it has to start with you getting yourself right before any relationship has a chance of being healthy and sustainable.
