Is there a difference between "r-alpha lipoic acid" and "r-lipoic acid" (without the word "alpha" in it)? I am doing searches on Amazon and see both of these. I found one that I'm leaning towards, but it doesn't have the word "alpha" in it. Just says "r-lipoic acid" Are they the same thing?

ALA : check. Another: benfotiamine, I've heard also helps. I'm taking both, to try and stop nerve damage. But it takes a while.

@@coryburns9161 Almost GONE!!! I'm going to re-start ALA again, just for good measure, and the Benfotiamine is also working very well. I take about double the amount the maker recommends.

Get it in capsule form, open the capsule carefully and pour the contents into a smoothie or water; drink.

Very informative I’m no doctor But there are two different versions of ALA The one I’ve researched is ALA-R The other one has an “ S” Synthetic The one I keep hearing is the ALA-R for nueropathy I’m somewhat surprised he didn’t mention that particular one with the “ R” Check it out guys It’s out there

R-Lipoic Acid is available on Amazon. I've been using Alpha Lipoic Acid without an R and don't know if there is a difference. I just ordered it with the R.

Supplements are the way to go for smart people. The younger generations are going to supplement if they want the advantage over others in their same class of age. I'm 29 and I take Atomic Nascent Iodine every single day, PQQ and COQ10 along with other things which I wont bother to type all out because it will be to bulky. As far as immunity goes, occasionally Ill use Zinc, Vitamin C and Elderberry if I feel something may be hurting my immune system.

I take Vitamin d + Vitamin k. Zinc, Magnesium, vitamin C every day and respiratory infections have disappeared!
