Are you a hardgainer.. Then you need to stop making these muscle building mistakes that are keeping you from making gains!
30 DAY GARAGE PROGRAM: bit.ly/3igtiIF
There are three critical mistakes I see hardgainers make. Diet is obviously one of the biggest and thats because we get feed so much false information that only helps us pack on fat...not muscle. Training is next because if you're not getting results then you're more than likely either not pushing yourself hard enough or trying to push too hard and lift a weight that you can't connect with. Lastly it's consistency, at the end of the day if you're consistent you're going to see results. Don't get frustrated, Get after it!
Where I got all my equipment (the best!):

Maybe someone is still reading. Should I really go on Calory Deficit on my days off? I don't understand. Those are the days my body is recovering, on those days the body needs energy to rebuild the muscle fibers i destroyed the day before. And when I eat much on my day off, don't I have more power on the next day? (Like pro cycler, who it tons of carbs the day before a race). Would like to know your adivce. Because unfortunately he didn't gave a physical reason for this advice.

@@Hannes123456789123 I'm sure many people have different opinions but I'd say yes and no. I've been told on our off days we don't need as many calories since we're not using as many. But in that same sense if your recovering you do want enough to recover. if anything decrease your deficit. If your at a 300 cal deficit then drop to 200 or 150 possibly. Seeing how you say you feel like you don't have enough for the next day I would increase your food. How does it feel if you eat your normal amount on your day off? Ideally it should feel better since your not burning any extra calories

I have always thought I was a hard gainer until I was finally diagnosed with low testosterone, which is the consequence of a benign pituitary tumour. As I started treatment and got my testosterone levels to average range, I suddenly realised that I´m actually gaining muscle quite quickly. In other words: my training regimen and nutrition over the years was not bullshit, I was just lacking testo... You healthy guys with normal testosterone levels have no idea how blessed you are!
@gunner5916
@gunner5916 3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Testo is absolutely the key. The fitness industry will always downplay the fact that many ectos exist due to low T and will not reap benefits of hundreds of hours in the gym “naturally”.

@@gunner5916 My endocrinologist thought about surgery to have the pituitary tumour removed, but the risk was that the pituitary gland might be impaired by the procedure and I might end up with even more hormonal deficiencies (growth hormone, ACTH-axis, etc.). So we decided against surgery. Instead I was started on human choriongonadotropin (self-injected twice weekly), which mimics the luteinising hormone, and this causes the testes to produce sufficient levels of testosterone. This therapy is only possible if your testes are fully functional and if the problem arises in the pituitary gland.

@@mrhyde7019 I am not op, but I am 27 years old, 6’2”, usually around 140 pounds. I did collegiate track and field so I have a history of fitness, but I have never been able to grow sustainably. This January, I picked up a high quality gainer protein and a small set of weights i could use at home. I began working out consistently every other day, and focused more on the individual rep rather than reaching a set number of reps (basic concept but i’ve been doing it wrong for years). I began forcing myself to eat 2-3 eggs for breakfast everyday within 2 hours of waking up. I began drinking more water and reduced my alcohol consumption as well. I utilized the protein shake as a free relatively healthy 300-500 calories and 30-50g of protein. I also slightly increased my portion size at every meal, and tried to snack more regularly on things like a block of cheese, peanut butter, trail mix, etc. Its been 6 months, and I have gone from 137 to 151 pounds with almost no change in body fat and am steadily gaining. I didnt see very much change for the first three months, and then I kind of exploded. Those are the few things I did that have given me, a perpetual hardgainer, hope. New goal is 160 by December! Edit: also I am at least 2.5x stronger than 6 months ago, so that’s been super exciting as well

I'm a relatively new lifter, only just started 39 years ago. Never took any time off except for injuries, and overate every meal every day of my life. On the far right of your scale, lift all the weight in the gym every day. Rack pull 855 (full bar) below knee, bare handed. Look like I've never been on the inside of a gym. Been weighing 215 for 20 years. Since watching you, I do reps past 5 and even switched to your pea protein, after consuming around 1000 lbs. of whey. Come out of gym wet every day, who knew reps of 20 plus were a real thing. Excited to see actual growth. So far, not so much, but the pain is amazing.

I'm not a hard gainer but I do struggle to lose fat. And I also can't figure out how to train over my injury to strenghten by back. Your stuff is awesome for me since I cant rely on very heavy weight therefore high volume has been a great alternative for me

I’m literally in the same boat. I have had low back issues for 10 years. I’m not beginning to have knee and hip pains so I’m thinking if it all has to do with my hips. I’m getting pretty yikes but still holding onto fat 😩
