Good deal! I enjoy watching other people's workout routines because I can always pick something new up. I never really thought about training in boots as an aid. I train in boots, tennis shoes, and such because I feel it is more realistic. If you are at the gas station and someone picks a fight you're gonna fight in whatever you have on at the moment, so that's how I train. I enjoyed your video and I'm gonna be going through your videos!

Excellent video ! I had some begginer students in gym (I already had some experience), and tried just to teach them this. But most of them did not see the point. It is very beneficial...just because does not involve punching, it does help actually set up positions from which you can punch. But simple things like this can benefit in long run tremendeously. Glad you put this video and advice ! Thank you !

I'm an amatures boxer and train in Greco wrestling in Greco we practice footwork for five minutes same thing as your showing here side to side and circle around I was wondering a drill or way to help my foot work like we do in Greco and how long interval wise and this video answered my question I ran into your channel truly was a blessing because I was getting a bit frustrated I felt like I was dragging my foot a lot and getting caught by taller opponents I learned something new and now understand why jack Dempsey is always doing road work with boots on I can tell you know what your talking about I will do these drills from now on during round 4 I start to feel my legs really heavy and that starts to mess with my mentality and focus and I feel like I spend so much energy by round 5 of sparring I feel gassed out gonna watch this channel more often.

Hey bro,great content. Personable, related in such a way make connections concisely in common parlance. The repeated pattern of technical definition followed by interpretive conversational queues to expand / outline further practice and application is something of a secret sauce in impressing on practitioners of any age or combat disposition fundamental links in the chain of decision making. Look I wouldn't have agonized a little over wording that entire previous paragraph if I didn't feel the downward pull of gravitas from the sussinctness In principle and practice. ... Even further explaining all that to say it's awesome to see. Martial arts, not to mention practicing them, has never failed to capture my attention as a fastenatning outgrowth of individuals that bends perpetually towards the unique and novel. Cheers mate, your true colors are showing! Lol. Cheers

These drills are amazing and should be practiced daily to really see the results. The boots are an excellent idea. Sensei, I was wondering If you know how to incorporate a grunt walk or a shuffle. I'm learning these drills but to get to the next level I need more layers to my footwork. So that's where the slips, pivots, and mobilization all form into one cohesive shuffle which then expands into how well you can incoperate your pendulum into that.
@CHEZCANTERE
@CHEZCANTERE Жыл бұрын
For me, when it comes to the really small detailed parts of movement, this all has to be puzzled together with your intent. Are you using the steps to set up your shots or move away from danger? I’ll try and make a vid on this but once you can identify this, your footwork should become sharper
@Ali-bf1xi

@@CHEZCANTERE I'm learning to piece things one by one. I'm learning to throw combos moving up, down, and laterally. The savage boxing workout really conditioned my legs so I am starting to feel way more confirdent thanks to my legs. When I throw my shots I really try to move feet and hips as quickly as possible. When I'm Shadow boxing I'm mostly shuffling or in a pendulum. I'm still learning how to set up shots and how to find wayws to enter and exit or set up traps.

Everything I recommend is your Stants. That needs a little work on it also. That is the problem when you wear workboots you tend to have the wrong footwork. That rear foot should be facing the direction you’re moving forward and backwards not out to the side because it does not help you move forward quick enough without spring on the toes. It also restricts movement forward and backwards also if you take note it takes a split second less to move flatfoot an hour to one side then it would if your feet are facing forward. At Shelter with of course

Problem doing this and work boots is it eliminates the use of the feet because the birds don’t have much movement of the ankle. I understand you won’t wait you can get weights you can rapper in the ankles but the idea of walking flatfoot is the strength and the muscle of the feet and get the toes and everything used to moving. Try it and see what I mean. They suggest to run barefoot also to strengthen the feet
