We could say lets rest him and keep him back until next season but i am sure he is going to play in the Copa America ; so just as much of a chance he will get injured this summer as he would the last few matches of the season with us. Unsellable players with long-term deals and massive wages - what are they going to do? Bench them and wait until all of their contracts expire? No. Not many of them are going anywhere soon. They can't be sold for nothing like Sanchez and Lukaku. Paying out ETH is how many millions - does that contribute to FFP? I think it does. Sacking him just puts us deeper into the financial quicksand. Gone are the days when they could just pay out the severance like they did with Mou for example and not bat an eyelid. Better hope ETH goes to Bayern. And long gone are the days of bringing in world record transfers, or just getting any player we want. They don't want to come to United anyway. I’m not sure how you work out your maths 70 million for Casamiro and 30 million sale expected. Overall loss 40 million. The wages he’s already been paid counteracts the wages you will save over the length of his contract. But somehow you just add the expected fee 30 and add the remaining wages in his contract and totally forget the 40 million loss on his original fee and the wages paid. Anyone who thinks McGuire, McT n Rashford are better players needs to get their heads checked. They need to go along with likes of Sancho, AWB, vDB, Casemiro among others. Selling Rashford, McT will be pure profit. If Greenwood is also sold you are looking at £100m pure profit. Olise is not a good fit since he is injury prone and there are options with wrong footed RW in squad - Garnacho, Amad, Anthony, Shea O'Lacey. It is more the vibes of fan channels who are taking decisions based on emotions rather than practicality. You need a DM, RCB, cover LB, cover LCB, cover RB, wrong footed LW who can play both wings, a starting right footed number 9 at a minimum this season. Not practical to get from top teams because of no European football but could get it from teams like Luton for Barkley, Kerkez from Bournemouth. The point is to save money from FFP profit and aim to get into European places with ETH at helm. Next season go for other positions for starters like AM, etc. Hansi Flick has limited exposure outside of Bayern n he was sacked as German national team. No point in making decisions on Manager when it means giving the likes of Rashford another chance. Mind though, Rashford is not suited for possession, quick pass, pressing style football from Hansi.

Casemiro to Saudi is best for all parties ; he's finished at the top , Saudi could and will pay a proper fee and we will not have an issue dealing with wages being covered and potential compensation. Thats another more than a 100 million added to the budget. And especially in midfield and CB - we really need two signings at each position. Case, Eriksen and Amrabat all likely gone , can't lose 3 without bringing two in. And Varane , Evans , Victor and Harry could all leave , seemingly 3 out of 4 probably going , we need two CBs as well. With those leaving and current options not good enough anyway ; need 2 CMs & 2 CBs , on top of other clear positional issues we need to address.
