Happy 2022, in this video I wanted to have some fun and speculate (probably incorrectly) what we COULD expect or hope to see in 2022. Lately we seem to get 1 or 2 major items added in but what could those be?? Also, what are YOUR ideal features we get added in. We know the "FULL GAME!!" will not occur, so what are those key items for you?? Looking forward to getting back into a rhythm and picking up speed for you all. I do have fun with it!

Just a fun post to come back to in a year to either cry or see who is the insider at CIG if they knock it out of the park! I am really curious to see the opinions, some thoughts you all have and perhaps later use that as a video. Stay Badass!

Im still cringing from the Cutty Steel concept. I never thought I'd see alien tax on a gutted Cutty. Maybe if they added a second shield. Anyways, I think you're hitting pretty well in the general ballpark going by my own assumptions. I suspect we might get some propaganda on "modularity" as well. Possibly even a working albeit limited sample. The same thought on personal hangars and persistence you mentioned makes me suspect this. Albeit a very remote chance.

Dude, i am LOVING this Gipsy Ronin character! Really creative stuff man. High-quality content. I could see this character being a Data-Running mission giver in-game or something. Nice job.

BMM for citizen con.. Also I think the polaris is basically finished (on the sly) for a release with Pyro.. Oh.. And another recording breaking year for sales 🤔

I think this is about right. The Whitley's Guide teaser where Jax flies off in the Odyssey suggests CIG is pushing hard for a first iteration of server meshing that will allow Pyro to be added by Q4 2022, but yeah I would be surprised if we get all of the Big Five features (Selling, Persistent Hangars/Habs, Cargo Refactor, T0 Salvage, and Pyro) this year.

Thanks for the ship! Maybe one day I'll use it to plot my first jump into pyro, and pray I don't loose it to pirates or solar storms 5 minutes later

So Pyro can't happen without server meshing... You know what would be neat? If Pyro is MADE, they could have us temporarily say goodbye to Stanton and have us all do our test-playing in the Pyro system!

Great presentation skills and excellent delivery, well done. Gotta give credit where its due before commenting on the content. Your predictions are very reasonable, but I'm hoping CIG's growth this year helps them release some of the big-ticket items with fewer delays. I want to see Pyro in 2022 more than any other feature (like Salvage) or ship (like the BMM or Polaris), so I'd want them to prioritize the things needed for it, like server meshing. For funding, I think they'll raise btw $80M-$100M in 2022. Adding Pyro in 2022 will take SC to the next level of scale, because now another star system will be part of the map, and the distance between them will become relevant. Adding Pyro will represent a huge milestone for SC, and will probably be followed by funding milestones as the hype around it (and its piracy gameplay) will likely draw a large number of new backers.

If they get Pyro in? and we are not tied to Stanton???I see that more players come in and then that $80-$100 Million COULD be a reality. 100% on making the distance relevant.

@@GipsyRonin yeah, lots of dependencies and uncertainties around predicting their progress in 2022, so I’m cautiously optimistic. They’ll have to raise at least $60-70M just to pay salaries, but I’m guessing the Calders’ due diligence showed enough potential profitability projected within the next 5 years to warrant their $46M investment for 10% of CIG.

Here's hoping when Pyro (eventually) comes online, me and my Starfarer aren't too bothered by pirates, so I can set up shop in the void and be like one of those creepy gas stations in the middle of nowhere that you drive past at night lol

Ships? We know there's a small refinery coming, but I'd give my left n*t to have a larger Prospector (MAX, perhaps?) Something bigger for soloists, rather than the even-larger Mole.

For me, salvaging, selling that salvaged content for aUEC and also selling player loot.. Basically making bank off of what I enjoy doing most, robbing and killing people :)

I love that you don't see AI getting perfected this year, because, it's been so long that the bugged Ai is an integral part of the star citizen experience hehe, would be so weird logging in at any time, server full, and every NPC doing everything right to a impressive degree, i would have a hard time accepting it being true for at least a week hahaha

server meshing is fully implemented in dual universe for years already, we re at a point other space games are landing at the same feature through new different type of tech

I just want to put a X1 and G12 in my 400i (full origin ftw) and explore places like Pyro… really though content isn’t the current issue… it’s stability and functionality. Simple things like using waypoints to QJ, broken missions, server desync, lack of meshing, even easy things like logging on can be hard when they shouldn’t be! Now we even have cheaters to deal with… yay… So I honestly hope they deal with this stuff before concentrating on much more content! On a side note, the robot voice made it hard for me to watch the video.

Great video but your predictions are imo way off. They've moved so many devs over to finish sq42 that the PU will be suffering the consequences of this for the next 2 years.
