Out of curiosity, considering it's already Cake Mix and Coolwhip... is the additional Powdered Sugar really necessary? I wouldn't mind trying these, but that sounds like overkill to me. Do you feel like they'd be lacking without it?

@@AspireAndInspire the powdered sugar is a garnish, and I treat all garnishes are optional and swappable. Still haven’t tried this with whipped cream yet, but it’s on the list soon

I was trying to tell my Granny about Dylan once because she described what I thought was one of his videos but for the life of me I couldn't remember his name. I described him as the very entertaining, flamboyantly gay gay that makes a bunch of older recipes. She said "I don't know about gay but that sounds close." I learned to make these in Home E.C. yrs ago, they aren’t called Strawberry Fluffies , you can use any flavor of cake mix, they are called crinkle cookies! Noted for the way they turn out when, they bake, aka/ notice the cracks or crinkles when, the cookies have been baked!

PROTIP: THIS WORKS WITH OTHER KINDS OF CAKES TOO!! i used a spice cake mix and it was really good. ALSO! if you press them down they'll get really thin and (once cooled) crunchy! i made these in the air fryer (i always set the temp to 50°F lower than a recipe says when it's supposed to be cooked in the oven but the same amount of time). the baking sugar also caramelized the outside of the cookie and tbh i really preferred it over the regular way (which i also made).

Congratulations! Unfortunately for you, now that you've done this, you'll have to make this dessert again in the future. It's an easy dessert to make but you've basically volunteered to make this dessert basically forever - mostly special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

I'll bet u could use other flavors of cake mix to make these. One dessert could be chocolate, either dark or milk chocolate, (I wonder if u could add nuts or chocolate chips, idea!!), one could be carrot, one could be the butter flavor, even a white cake mix just add an extract, Almond, Peppermint, Orange, Lemon, the possibilities are endless!! There's 7 cookie desserts, yay!!

I make these with my granddaughters because they're so easy. They're 7&5, so easy baking with Nanny is where its at. Lol. They love them. We have tried almost every flavor, including the Dolly Parton 🍌. They love watching you. They don't get a lot of the jokes yet, lol. They're going to be so excited when I show this to them.

My grandpa started making these after my grandma went to the nursing home and he was still living in their house. Despite not doing much cooking for their married life, he really enjoyed it and would make these (usually with a lemon cake mix) to take to her, her roommate, and the nurses at the home. Sometimes simple is exactly what you need ☺️
