In this video I'm going to give you a few reasons why your tailored clothes might be coming out terrible. Nothing is more frustrating then tailoring your first shirt and then trying it on only to realize it's too small. Well how do you avoid that?
First off, make sure your sewing machine is set up properly and make sure you're using the right type of needle and thread for your garment. If you're sewing denim, it's a good idea to use a denim needle.
Second, you might be being too aggressive or inaccurate with your measurements. Remember, measure twice and sew once! It's much easier to be conservative with your measurements and take off a bit less than you think and then go back and take off more. It's really hard to take that seam out when you realize it's too tight however.
