Honestly yeah, chaingun shield is practically a super weapon lmao. But I do think base hammer is epic tier, its another get out of jail free card that gives near full instant restack if used right, along with tons of ammo, and causes a mini dazed and confused AND its super easy to recharge. Keep up the youtube upload rampage 😎

I like how the Chaingun shield is categorized as a super weapon lol. Though, I like the mobile turret more. It feels awesome to use and it's also very well balanced and deals just the right damage.

The Unmakyr is a nice alternative for those who don't like the over-powered-ness of the BFG, but its gameplay alternatives being an ammo efficient but also a very nice method of quickly restoring health and armor pre hammer.

The Unmakyr will always be in the shadow of the 64 Unmaker imo, we need the badass laser gun

I think a simple buff for the Unmaykr should be to make its bullets pierce through enemies, kinda like the Ballista with fodder. Not only does it still do more single target damage than the BFG, but you could line up your shots right and still clear arenas of enemies more ammo efficiently than the BFG if you have the right positioning and aim!

The unmakyr shines in tag 1 basically. Other than that it flips

Hammer is just broken with how many times you can use it, glad they uped the charge amount in horde mode. Bfg is a good panic button to delete an arena. The unmakyr has really good combos you can use it with. The crucible is basically the chainsaw from 2016, it would be better if glory kills or weakpoint breaks charge the crucible mabye four instead of two,. They all have their purpose and each one is good in certain situations. For just overall baddassness and helpfullness i think the BFG takes the cake. However the Hammer is the nost fun to use and is pretty OP so IMO its a toss up between those two.

Ice Bomb is the real MVP Why no one talk about how **BROKEN** this is. It's rechargeable crucible because any demon touch by that is dead. Seriously

Let's be honest, it would've been better if the unmakyr was like it's doom 64 counter part. Think of it as a full auto ballista. It would've been able to compete with the bfg. Imagine it firing a hitscan triple energy beam with little spread, fast like the mobile turret but very VERY strong like the ballista. Also Imagine the sound and impact like the microwave beam but more louder, impactful, *BRVVVVVVV* noise. It won't make it as strong as the bfg but it's better than having a red, spread, buff plasma rifle.

I think the best way to buff the Unmaykr is to resooolve it's awkward shared-ammo situation with the BFG. I think a cool way to do this would be to give the Unmaykr an alt-fire that when activated makes the weapon use health as a resource instead of Argent Cells. It would last for ten seconds and cost about five health per shot. So 40 shots (four seconds) of sustained fire costs 200 health. It would have a big cooldown of five minutes, but to give you an incentive to use Argent Cells as well, each shot fired using cells reduces this cooldown by five seconds. This means you could potentially reset the cooldown immediately by firing 60 shots. Switching weapons will not end the ten second window (but also won't pause it), so you can use it in combos and fire only a few shots if you want. The ten second firing window and the five minute cooldown would be displayed on the sides of the reticle, and the yellow ring on top of the Unmaykr will glow red while the alt-fire is active. While the alt-fire is active, the only ways to regain health are by glory kills, ice bomb, map pickups and the punch and reave rune (because let's buff that as well while we're at it). So no static health drops by killing enemies normally. You can still gain armor normally. Extra lifes get buffed this way as well, as you can now use them as a resource to spam-fire the Unmaykr. The Unmaykr still deals damage to you during the extra life invul window though, as otherwise it would be busted. I think this would be a cool way to integrate the Unmaykr into the core gameplay loop. It would add a new risk/reward dynamic where careful planning mitigates risk and is rewarded. For instance having a full stack of armor, using ice bombs, hammer or the punch and reave rune would allow you to deal massive damage for a relatively low amount of resources. You could even use it to activate the desperate punch rune. Finally it even makes sense lore-wise to have the Unmaykr be this sinister life-leeching weapon, with Argent energy basically being made from life energy. NOTE: The exact numbers of health cost, duration, and cooldown time could of course be tweaked depending on balance. I think especially the health cost per shot could perhaps be a little bit higher but I'm not sure.

I think a cool way to buff the unmakyr would be giving it a secondary fire of sorts, like a paralazing fire so that you dont *need* other stuff to combo into it

The Unmaykr works best when you're surrounded and have nowhere to go, you just pull it out and shoot everyone and theyre all done for so i'd say it should be decent

I only ever use the Unmaykr during the Icon of Sin. It’s very very unfortunate too, cause the Unmaker in DOOM 64 is so fucking cool!

I guess the only downside to the chain gun shield is that you can only use the chain gun wile it’s active. But that’s hardly a downside because the chain gun is still a great weapon.

Truly agree with one exception I believe that the hammer was made for bonking demons a lot so base hammer belongs in awesome with a little more love than the horde hammer. Subscribe earned

Hi bro, I want to add an idea about the chainsaw in Doom Eternal game. I would like them to buff chainsaw a little. For example, 1 charge is for weak enemies like in the game - soldiers, imps, zombies; 2 charges are for medium enemies - carcasses, prowlers, Maykr drones; 3 charges are for heavies like in the game - hell knights, dread nights, mancubus and etc.

I wish that the Unmaykr would seek after weak spots and take them down, and not count as a charge for the hammer, I think that would help it a lot, that way you have a weapon for easily taking out weak points. Also, as far as super weapons go, my favorite one is the hammer.

Hammer is best for me since it's got the most utility and use. Hella op tho, still wish they upped the charge requirements but oh well. BFG-9000 is the BFG. I don't really like using it but it's still a fun room clearer. I think it's fairly balanced too since it's ammo is very rare. Crucible is just a replacement for 2016's chainsaw's role as a heavy deleter. I personally dislike it since it's kind of a boring mechanic with boring animations. Resource management is mostly good but it's used as a crutch during the Icon boss fight which I really dislike. Personally wish it was an actual melee with some kind of unique mechanic. Unmaker is interesting in concept as a single target BFG but in execution it's really underwhelming. It's too difficult to use for what it's supposed to be used and frankly prefer just doing combos.

You can insta delete possessed baron in World Spear ML with Unmaykr so there are rare exceptions where it's better than BFG

Chaingun shield is great, but forgoing it makes you a better player. Still love it, but im trying not to use it like a crutch. You can use it will 4 dashes to delete a Barron ffs

The Unmakyr is an absolute spirit possessed Tyrant and Baron killer though. Absolutely required for me for TAG1 on NM. Without it I still wouldn't have been able to beat TAG1 so for me it's Awesome tier. Chaingun shield and campaign hammer is Epic tier.

I like the Unmaker. As cool as the BFG is, I find it really boring. I don't wanna skip a wave, I wanna fight stuff, and I find Unmaker combos to be super satisfying. I fully understand that the Unmaker is the overall weakest super weapon, but damn, it's really fun to use.

Base Hammer should be EPIC! tier. Literally no drawbacks and no weaknesses. Two GK's with the ammount of fodder running around is infinite ammo for barely any effort. Also lets you keep all your chainsaws for a heavy.

Obviously the Pistol is the best super weapon. That's why it's not even in the game; too powerful

They should really rebalance the super weapons. BFG: one shot only Unmakyr: alt ammo pool (?glory kills) Crucible: alt ammo pool (?glory kills) timed (like berserk) rather than charges but doesn't work on super heavies. Speed boost but can't use guns/grenades/flame belch while active. Hammer: awesome and lots of fun but maybe increase the charges to 4? CG shield: nerf nerf nerf!!!!!
