I really enjoy your videos. You show what life in Mexico is really like. The best part is when you drive around to all these different towns. I enjoy it when you drive around these small place towns. Where the real Mexican people are living, not just expats. Most expats are afraid to go around the neighborhoods where Mexican families live. That is what I enjoy most about your videos, you show the real Mexico. Not that expat bubble that people are living in. I'm not quite sure what the lady is talking about. I don't think you're putting down your wife. You were joking with your family and there's nothing wrong with that. It's nice to see a family together. And there's nothing wrong with joking and being happy riding around with your wife and your daughters. It's nice to see a black male spending time with his family. And I don't think anything 's wrong with you having joking with your wife and your daughters. It reminds me of when I was a little girl and my father used to drive the family around on Sunday to visit all our relatives. I'm 59 now and when I think back on those days, those were the happiest times of my life because the family was together, and we were laughing and joking. When your daughters are older, they'll think back to those times and remember that you spent time with them. They will cherish those memories. Keep up the good work.

I appreciate your kind words... Thank u. I'll keep making more local stuff type videos outside of the expat bubble. In regards to the other comment the other person made ... Folks seem to get so triggered nowadays ... In our house, we banter, tease and joke back and forth all day ... That's why it comes across so casually on video because it's 'us' in our normal element being ourselves... Everyone is so uptight and offended by everything nowadays to the point they're offended by how we do things in our own house, lol ... It's challenging trying to appease and please everyone. I get harassed for traveling abroad with my children (apparently, some think it's irresponsible to take children out of the US). Other folks harass me for 'home schooling' my kids. Others give me a hard time because I share to much of our private life online (kids illnesses, my illnesses, our marriage, etc...). We have decided to open up our lives to the world to share what its like to live abroad and when we made that decision, it included sharing the good, the bad, the fun and the boring; which is why i don't edit videos 98% of the time. No matter what we do someone is offended, bothered or triggered... I appreciate feedback of course, but my oh my ... We've been harassing my wife about the way she drives for 25 years (all the tickets she's accumulated over the years are staggering -- she really can't drive, LOL)

Thanks for taking us along; this was a good video to workout to. The first three places were absolutely no gos for me. I think that you deserve to be comfortable in your home environment. Cutting corners on comfort for a few dollars could lead one to be miserable. I will work ten extra hours to afford to pay for my comfort level. I don't mind living in the hood as long as my spot is an oasis and I feel safe.

🤣I thought it was just me with that first house, lol. Kim got it right. That house looked depressing, lol. Or should I say, it was "rustic", lol. And then that "privada" house at about the 1 hour mark looked even a bit more "rustic", lol. And they were trippin' askin' that 13,000 pesos. But I guess if it is larger, then it will be a higher prices. And for reference for people who aren't familiar with measurements of square meters, 600 square meters is just over 6,450 square feet! That is HUGE! I liked the lsat house you toured the best. How much would it cost to have an AC unit installed? Maybe you can negotiate a lower rent in exchange for paying to have a unit installed in the living room? Then the cost could be a wash if you spread it out over the course of a year. If you stay longer, then you get to continue enjoying the AC in the living room.
@MoveAbroadandThrive

Once they get a contract, he agreed to add 3 a/c to all 3 bedrooms. I'd have to get my own a/c installed outta pocket for the living room if i wanted one down there. For 8500/mo, I'd do it. This one is still on my list.Keeps my costs drastically low and gives me an extra room and more space than i have now, where I pay 12,500. My Uber bill would drop since my kids friends are all up in this area. So it ain't completely off my list

Thank you for your content! However, I do have to say that it is a bit irritating to hear how you diss your wife in the videos (sometimes it's her driving and other times it's other things). I have been married a long time and so I get that married couples have things about each other that are annoying. I just think you should praise in public and criticize in private. I frankly do not want to hear your putting your wife down. That is just my opinion, but I still appreciate your content and all the hard work you put in to bring us the information!
