What is the diameter of the bolt for the 3" version? I broke the thin bolt on my flanged set trying to get it snug. My friend let me borrow one of his which has a 2x as thick bolt but he can't remember the brand.

I have see reports the V-bands actually do have a warpage and fail seal issue on the face/face, even with the improved groove style. Have you seen or heard of this issue with these fittings? There also is a “MARMAN” type fitting that is similar yet superior, any experiences on these?

Yeah it’s very time consuming to not warp them. After about my 3 rd one on my build I found taking an extra set to clamp on to the one being welded for heat transfer helped. But they do warp very easy

No you don't, V band clamps allow you to remove that part i.e a gasket is no longer needed.

These clamps are used on Aircraft If you see a distortion in the clamp or tubing you are using the wrong size ! If this part is works on $100 million A/C than it should be just fine on any race car. All Engine Models - Installing V-Band Clamps - GE Aviation Maintenance Minute

If you have something in your mouth while making a video it is best to remove it before filming. Because it sounds like u do, its very distracting. Wanted to learn something not listen to someone suck on candy.

I thought I was the only one. There's a lot of mouth noises for sure
