Tenlog Hands 2 Assembly and First Thoughts

Today we'll take a look at the Tenlog Hands 2 3D printer, with independent dual extrusion capabilities.
I have to say, I am really impressed with this machine, and will continue to use it and update viewers with how it holds up.

I bought the Tenlog D3 Pro. It’s my first printer. It’s not a plug-and-play machine, but tweaking it has been fun and not too hard.

Thanks. Really helpful! I support you doing more videos on this/IDEX printing. I am new to 3d printing and will get this one because IDEX seems worth it.

I looked at the hands two for the price and I could get it at a reasonable time and I think it was around $400 tax and all delivered. I was looking at the JG artist the problem I had there is it is a Kickstarter and you would have to wait a month or two R3. I haven't started playing with a hands to yet I have bought two other printers before this I'm still new. I bought the anycubic Mega s. Have not had no problem with it. The hands 2 is the same size except they can print a little taller. But I was looking at doing two colors or if I'm doing something small print two things at one time. And I paid 270 tax and all for the Mega s shipped to my house which I got off at the eBay had it within a week. So $130 difference in your able to print two colors. I've got to get it put together and start playing with it and see what I think. Hope everything goes well and hope all yours goes well

So far so good. I have a stepper cable that's a little loose I'm trying to get replaced under warranty. For the moment a little silicone is working to keep it together. I'm the same way with a Kickstarter machine. Also I own a JGAurora A5 and the bed is so badly warped I had to install a ABL sensor to get it printing better, so I won't buy another JG machine.

It can use 2 filaments? how cool is that! Great price too.

Yep! And can print in either dual material/color mode, mirror mode (in case you need a left hand and right hand part), or duplication mode, where two identical parts are printed at the same time.

I bought a TENLOG H2 in august, and I like it even more than my Ender3... ;-) But there is one problem I ran into and I can't get it solved! Do you know how to calibrate the X and Y position of E2 with respect to E1? I would be so grateful if you could make a video on how to do that.

What's your take on the print quality? The price is really great, but I'm worried that it won't compare to my Ender 5 at all.

I'm not familiar with the print quality of the Ender 5, but I'm really impressed with print quality. But it's important to note that it achieves that quality by printing very slowly.

@@bebsrepairbench5074 Slow is totally acceptable to me, I print around 40mm/s usually. I'm mostly hopeful that side walls come out pretty clean, which I understand can be hard on machines with poor rigidity.. do you have any good pics of sample prints that show off side wall quality?

Thanks, Beb, for the detailed review, which helped me decide on the Hands 2, with silent TMC drivers. Just got it and about to set it up. (BTW, your Insta handle is misspelled at 44:10, but I found ya anyway. Subscribed and followed!)

I saw the Artist-D, but I'm not a fan of Kickstarter machines, and I own a JGAurora A5 that hasn't been a reliable printer, so I won't buy anymore JG products.
