Hands 2 TMC2208 Driver Upgrade

3 жыл бұрынToday we'll be upgrading the Tenlog Hands 2 printer to use TMC2208 Stepper Motor Drivers. This should make the printer much quieter when compared to the current A4988 drivers.
The procedure will basically be the same for any Tenlog printer, but you will need to make sure you choose the proper firmware to upload.

Thanks for your video. Did you calibrate Vreff into drivers? Do you think that it is neccesary? How hass your experience been after more than one month after change?

I didn't calibrate vref, although I did run the machine for about a 2 hour print then checked to make sure the drivers and stepper motors weren't getting too hot. Also during the print I didn't have any issues with skipping steps, so at least in my case, calibrating vref wasn't necessary. After using the new drivers for some time, I think they're an excellent upgrade. If your goal is to have a quiet machine, I would highly recommend it.

Hi I have the same printer. My drivers just came today. Since this video Tenlog has taken the burner s/w out of their google drive. Also I did not even get a card. Just the divers & heat sinks. I do see updated firmware on their Github but still no burner. Any way you can give me link to the copy you have?

@@bebsrepairbench5074 I found a You Tuber that has them. Do not need now , going to part mine out. The mb started smoking. Went to order another one on Tenlog Amazon's page and they draged out my order, so I cancelled. It has 200 hrs on it tops , if you need parts let me know.

@@SuddenImpact53 is it not under warranty anymore? Although honestly I've tried going through Tenlog's warranty process and it's not very efficient....... That sucks because they're really good machines for the most part.

No it wasn't necessary on my machine. I checked that with the home sequence at around 18:15
