A Captain America movie without Captain America is doomed to fail no matter how much money Disney throws at it.

If we assume 400M $ budget and 100M $ marketing, then this movie needs to make at least a billion to break even. This movie is a sunk cost fallacy. This movie is lucky when it gets 500M $ beating antman 3. But it will be more likely be around the marvels level.

I feel bad for Anthony Mackie. At this point, he's basically starred in a trilogy of Captain America films, only about a quarter of which will ever be seen by the viewing public.

Funny. The Acolyte's early figures suggested it had gone to 400M until the official figure was given as 180M... Perhaps Captain Falcon will receive another such downward revision.

Looking back on movies like Godzilla Minus One and Dune Part 2 with low budgets makes movies good and gets higher box office success rather than 200-400 million dollars budget. Movies with low budgets have repeatedly proven to Hollywood, Disney, and other Entertainment companies that budgets are out of control and what makes good entertaining movies.

The industry could impose a multi-year moratorium on reshoots, have projects turn in whatever they finish by the original deadline.

Any competent CEO could simply insist on NO TEST AUDIENCES, NO RESHOOTS. But there’s a cover-your-arse attitude so you never have to take blame… I wish I were in a Disney test audience, along with enough like-minded people to lie to them and pose as one of their mythical modern audiences and tell them how wonderful the rubbish is that’s sprung to their diseased minds. Then maybe they would fail hard enough to go bankrupt.

The real missing ingredient here are the Russo Brothers. First Avenger was okay, but Winter Soldier and Civil War was what made Captain America everyone's favorite in the first place and gave us Falcon. They don't have anyone at the MCU that has the same directing talent and probably never will again. And even they probably couldn't have saved this movie given political and creative limitations, which is probably why they're no longer working on Marvel.

The new Disney Method: fire the true creative forces in the company, replace them with talentless hacks; 5X the budgets to the talentless can enjoy luxury goods; then disparage the audience you chased away with bad writing and poor direction; engage your schill/ bots army to cast blame everywhere except where it belongs.

I mean Avengers Endgame cost $400M to make, and they basically piggy backed off Infinity War that was over $300M, so basically filming one long movie and splitting it into two, so if it's good then it's perfectly fine. But I do have to ask the question, didn't they already basically do this with a series on the Disney channel?

I feel bad for everyone involved. That is not added to executive level. Disney is now the place where careers go to die. As for Marvel, I don't remember the episode. But I remember the exact scene that told me. Marvel was no longer something that I would support. Except maybe to laugh at it. It's the scene where Anthony Mackey. As Falcon and Sebastian Stan as Bucky are walking down the street and they get stopped by a police officer and the police officer starts questioning Sam. Then Bucky asked the officer. Do you know who this is? And then the officer. Finally recognizes Sam. And then they flipped the script and have Sam sam. Ask the cop what he's doing has. He is putting. Bucky in the car. The cop answers that Bucky missed his therapy session. So you have the I assume go back to prison for the night.

If the rumors are to be believed, the original Captain America 4 was Black Lives Matters the Movie with Americops as one of the bad guys and the audience was going to get another lecture about doing better and not walk across the street when you see a gang of black men stalking towards you. If true, I guess they thought it was going to capture the zeitgeist of the George Floyd riots or be as significant as Black Panther. Good luck with that!!!

No, I will not be watching Captain America 4, I like Anthony Mackie, I really do, but I prefer him as Falcon, which is also one of my favorite Marvel Characters. But not as Cap. And I haven't watched anything from Disney since Infinity War and have no plans to do so.

First, Captain Falcon is NOT Captain America. They reshot this movie 3-4 times already and I'm sure it will never be likeable fot the fans. This will be a hyuuuuuuuuuge bomb at the box office.

This sounds like a classic case of: 1. not knowing your audience and trying to shove woke nonsense down their throats 2. not hammering a script that justifies a 200 million dollar (assumed original budget) Too many untalented writers in Hollyweird who are too absconded in their bubble to appeal to most of America, let alone the world.
