I'm feral. I like the wild beauty and reverence of the TLM But mostly I ran like a beast freed from its cage when I found out I no longer had to endure a guitar mass. When I found an option that in its order is freedom. Heaven on earth= The Mass.

I have gone to SSPX masses for a couple of years (after a well known Bishop said it was fine to go). I don't always go because the drive is far. I also go to Novus Order. I would love to see some interviews with Fr. Leo Boyle, elderly SSPX priest, former teacher, late vocation. A humble man who is pained to see the death and decline of Catholicism in Ireland. The Church seems to talk alot about trads but does not seem to want to talk TO trads. During 2018 we had a referendum, here in Mayo we had a pro-life TD who spoke at our Pro-life conferences. After the referendum the Catholic Pro-life TD voted and passed the Abortion legislation. Then within a couple of months as the sponsor for his nephews confirmation and received communion from the Bishop. I asked the Bishop what example do we give as a church if we don't hold Catholics to account for going against Catholic Teaching. We elected a man because he was pro-life Catholic and he betrayed us. but the Church is silent. Here in the Diocese we have 2 Diocesan priests who can say the TLM, yet the Bishop won't allow it where we live and will send us to a remote Church. The Bishop can be very hard and all of a sudden dogmatic about restricting access to the TLM, but very liberal when it comes to allow LGBT masses, communion to protestant pastors, communion to whoever really. Catholicism is a difficult faith, maybe. Its a beautiful faith. When people love the Eucharist it becomes a painful subject when the Eucharist is not adored or even respected.

If you're looking for ideas for episodes perhaps you could make a short 10-15 minute video on addressing the pitfalls and difficulties impacting young Catholics in a world that's making it increasingly difficult to practice our Catholic faith. I know many college aged Catholic who find it difficult to publicly practice our faith on campus or in the big University cities like Dublin and Cork. The number of entering religious life in Europe was increasing but took a nosedive once the new Mass came in and continues to decline. Mass attendance and belief in the real presence collapsed too. You judge a tree by It's fruits... The libs have all the power too unfortunately, if this were a war the libs would be the USA and the trads would be Malta. The Latin Mass is very hard to find in Ireland and it is not for lack of priests wanting to come here and celebrate it. You're spot on though about the respect side, Catholics need to love each other no matter what. Spiritual pride is toxic. Mary Mother of the Church, pray for us.

Well balanced Father and without having the chip on both shoulders!! I agree wholeheartedly the novus ordo done right can be beautiful but it pales in comparison to the beauty of a traditional high mass having said that of course the mass is the mass, some of the most memorable liturgies I’ve ever been present at where in hotel rooms when travelling with a priest friend of mine who has since gone to meet the boss ( please God ) and also I know how I felt about it had no bearing on the validity or value of the mass. I’m only half feral, a little bit of the zeal of the convert in me being raised Methodist and turning back to the Catholic Church. The hardline trads aren’t seeing the work the softer side are doing bringing people back, opening the door to the modern world, but those softies can also be too dismissive of the persnickety folk who are guarding us from being watered down too weakly. If the wine of Christ’s blood is to inebriate us we must both be able to access it and feel its strength. In our disagreements we seek the balance. Praying for our divisions as Christians to be healed always ✝️🙏🏻❤️

Im not educated with the documents of Vatican 2, i confess ive never read them. I have listened to many that have, and understand their criticism of it. Personally, i feel as a cradle catholic i was robbed of my rightful inheritance. Changes that took place in the church during the sixties, have produced little fruit. Catholics don't believe in the true presence, they accept secular ideas that push God away. Vocations are small, beliefs are weak, and ultimately Our Lord is no longer adored in the Holy Eucharist. True Faith formation has been diluted, with terrible consequences. My geraration that came after Vatican 2 has suffered as we see abortion, pornagraphy, divorce acceptable, moral decline everywhere. Young people no longer have an Anchor that was their faith, the Catholic church was the moral compass of the world, I fear this is no longer the case. We as individuals make up the body of Christ's church here on Earth, we should raise the alarm if we feel the church is under attack from the secular world and also from within. Its a tough subject, many varying opinions. However, i would have liked to have experienced the TLM as a child, the same as my parents, my grandparents and their parents. Fr, the Catholic religion is beautiful as you said, a rich tapestry that is so dense and full of amazing truths, That ultimately delivers redemption for all those who love one another as Jesus loved us. I'm Irish living in France for the past century, no, 30 years or so. I did return to the Tridentine Mass around 2007, I wouldn't consider myself a fanatical anti Vatican 2 individual. I just at some stage had to flee the constant ad-libbing, or improvisation gone a bit mad. And the Hymns ? don't get me started. I do attend the Novus Ordo when I'm on holidays, in Ireland for example, but I must admit I feel a tad dissatisfied, sometimes. I'm sure there are reverent N.O Masses available, I just don't seem to come across them, but that's me. One of the saddest days of my life was the 2018 May referendum on the protection for unborn babies, I used to think, not that, never in Ireland. For me, that was the sign that Catholic Ireland, for years in agony, had finally given up the ghost. Anyway, I've just discovered this channel, keep up the good work, we are a people of Hope and optimism, always. Take care.

Those of us whe went to Mass before Vat 2 feel robbed. Deeply robbed. Not just the loss of the beauty of Mass but the destruction of our families. I don't know about younger people who never experienced the old Mass, but though I still grieve the lost magnificence that formed us, I go to Mass for Jesus. The modern world basically--- expletive deleted!

Honestly I don't think the priests today even know the rules or reverence the majesty the sanctity of the old church. I don't want to hear that Jesus's rays of mercy are tractor beams like on star wars, I want to hear my Catholic music and I especially want it catholic at Christmas not go tell it on the mountain and then the piano player breaks out in boogie woogie, while the choir ir kicking their feet clapping their hand yelling ya! Ya! I couldn't sing that and I cried that is not Catholicism and I feel like the protestant converts in our church have converted our church to protestant

Father, it's not quite as simple as that. There are objective problems with the novus ordo. It is an over simplification and frankly a rash judgment to accuse traditional Catholics of internal spiritual disorders for pointing this out. Have you read the Ottaviani Intervention for example? Or any of Michael Davies works on the new rite? Traditional Catholicism is just continuity without the acceptance of modernism

First thing I want to say before I get to the substance of my comment is that I am an unworthy sinner, and an imperfect disciple of Jesus Christ. Secondly, from a literal reading of Nostra Aetate, is it not unequivocally clear that Church teaching on other religions (one religion in particular) was changed by V 2?
