Miller gets a chance to explain himself lol. This show does a great job of giving us morally grey characters while still giving us heroes and villains. Krisjen and Erinwright are great examples. We still see her as somewhat a "good guy" despite being the one to suggest the attack on Demos which killed people. The show is just going to keep getting better.

Diogo Harari That's the kid Miller caught stealing sewer water on Ceres and who later was spaced by his uncle Mateo to save him from certain death courtesy of the MCRN. Kid must have 9 lives or something. Well, fewer than that now. :)

The kid's name is Diogo Herara and is probably one of the more interesting Belter point-of-views in the series.

Right after the assassination attempt on Avasarala, they showed her in her office looking at a mug shot of that particular Black Sky Belter. Remember, though, that most Belters still know Johnson as the Butcher...they don't know the truth. That's why Naomi still distrusted him, saying, "You know what he's capable of." This was another display of the Roci AI. As they were approaching the station still pretending to be trash, the interior lighting was red, which is Martian Navy "yellow alert." When the thruster fired, abandoning the ruse, the interior lighting automatically switched to blue, which is Martian Navy "combat alert." We first saw that happen on the Donnager. That space combat was the most satisfying I'd seen in science fiction media (up to that point), made all the more satisfying by the work we saw Alex putting into preparing for it. But there is more space combat to come.... Years ago, I had a chance to speak to an old US Army Air Corps veteran who had been a B-17 waist gunner during WWII. The stealth ship PDC rounds piercing the Roci reminded me of his description of German fighter machine gun rounds piercing their plane, leaving trails of vaporized aluminum. Dresden's condition was that he be allowed to continue human testing. Considering the powerful forces already backing Dresden, it was impossible that the Belters would be able to keep him. Johnson and Holden were willing to make a deal within five minutes...and they're _good_ Earthers.

Can you imagine? Machine gun rounds vaporising aluminium. Crazy. And scary. Ooooh good point on Johnson and Holden letting him continue. Or do you reckon they'd get all the info from him and stick him in a cell?

Fun trivia: Daniel Kash, the actor playing Dresden, was Pvt. Spunkmeyer in Jim Cameron's 1986 "Aliens" (one of the two marines who initially remain on the dropship). Regarding the belters shooting the scientists, I don't think they were trained to operate under stress. I took that as more of an "oh shit" moment, where everybody except Miller lost their nerve after the experience with Diogo getting "shot". Fun watch with you guys, as always!

I tend to rewatch this also for the scene when the black sky Belter gets spaced. As expected he exits and drops downwards, diagonally, And the stars move sideways to show the motion of Tycho’s spinning habitation wheel

there were BODIES, no people. THey literally dont count when weighing the cost of life.. Mars was in no way responsible for the deaths on Phoebe [which didnt belong to any one nation], so Earth had no justification to kill their people AND destroy their sovereign territory.

Great reaction guys! Loved your reaction to the entire episode! From the political intrigue on earth, to the space battle between the Rocinante and the stealth ship! Miller shot Dresden dead in the head! You say because of Julie! Not going to argue with that, but let's see how this plays out! As we always say, there are no wasted lines or scenes in this show! Just remember that! Looking forward to the next one! P.S. episodes 4&5 are meant to be watched together. You can release them separately. You will see why! 😊

Gentlemen, near the start of the episode you mention "Eye for an Eye".. 90% of people have the completely mistaken idea that it is a almost mandatory exchange.. But in fact it is intended to be a LIMITATION, not a license. In ancient times when tempers exploded people wouldn't just commit a roughly equal harmful action when harmed themselves, it almost always escalated up to the point of murder. The concept that never gets discussed is: "You may take NO MORE THAN an eye for an eye, or a tooth for a tooth". No taking someone's arm because they poked out your eye, or no crippling or murder, etc. I hope I clarified that. There was no one stationed on Pheobe after Protogen abandoned it, and therefore no loss of life. Errinwright violated that concept by provoking the murder of the 17 people on the Martian moon. Completely disproportionate response - and worse, Pheobe wasn't any one entity's sovereign territory, unlike Deimos.

Good point on eye for an eye. I'm starting to think Errinwright doesn't know what he's doing. He's supposed to be in politics...right? 😂
