It would be a good start to remaster the older two games Enter The Matrix and The Path Of Neo for all of the newer consoles. That way newer players could get easier access to good games based on the OG trilogy.

Although The Matrix Resurrections wasn't that good as audience expected, I would be glad to play that game.

The game industry definitely needs a Matrix game. The franchise as a whole has potential to go so far. And stories needing to be told. I don’t think the industry is done with the Matrix. Star Wars has had the same issues. Lack luster games, and movies that didn’t do as well as the last. And there is a HUGE fan base. I feel like Netflix will pick up the license, and come up with a stellar show.

Did anyone noticed that in the Martix 4 movie there are scenes where there are whole CGI Neo and Trin ? I was always wondering WHY :) I mean near the end when they are unplugged.

IMO a video game for the Matrix would be the best format. More detail and immersion than a book or movie could ever do. They already have the assets to make one from the unreal engine demo.

Enter the Matrix was fantastic at the time! I really enjoyed that game and I spent hours on it. The Path of Neo was a lot of fun as well. Really gave me a deeper understanding of the Matrix world and lore. A new game would be great on the current-gen consoles and PC!

I believe the correct title of the Matrix tech Demo was called The Matrix Awakens

They need to make another MMO. I regret not playing Matrix Online more when I had the chance before it shut down. It was the best online gaming experience in my life. Having 3 factions in PvP was so fun and chaotic. Sadly, it's very unlikely.

I'm a fan of the Matrix to such an extent that I'll be there to check out anything and everything they put out there. The original film did enough by itself (for me) to be awarded that sort of good will. A video game would be great, but I'd still like to see the film franchise get another chance. It sounds a bit cliché, but an intense prequel film about the birth of AI, the lead up to war and the war itself could be very cool and potentially commercially successful.

A question, What would happen if Agent Smith did not assimilate Neo, as he couldn't see what happens after assimilating Neo? What if he found it as a threat, or a trap? Like the last time, when he tried to fight Neo, Neo got into Smith and destroyed his shell.

Never happen that is to large in scope probably but would like a Matrix game where it covers the timeline of Matrix from it's inception with the 1st level starts with the begining of AI civil rights movement to the outbreak of war than the other levels being the different incarnations of the Matrix and get to see the backstory of characters like the Merovingian leading to to the events before the 4th film.

2:16 haven't watched Matrix Resurrections, but, with the improvements in animation and CGI, I would like to see movies with Neo, Trinity and the like using this technology. That is, I have no problems with real people getting old, but, it's interesting to see what could happen if the characters from the Matrix movies doesn't get old and expand the stories in that universe. If no main protegonists, then, new characters, but, with that same "aestethics" from the first movies. The little I've watched the newest Matrix movie, I don't feel "good" the current/new enviroment - geeks and the like, just, boring, imho.

I don't think this is going to happen now with the announcement of the Matrix V. If whatever is developed already it might be on hold or reworked to going along with The Matrix V. Also all the old games based in the Matrix were not very good. Granted these games are super old on super old platforms. Even playing those old games that are not very fun and the graphics are so bad the replayability wasn't a thing either, so yeah, IDK, probably not.

Had it been 5-10 years ago I would have jumped out of my seat hearing about the possibility of a new matrix game. Now I just wonder how they are going to mess everything up... By making it a mobile game á la "Diablo Immortal" or "Elder Scrolls: Blades"? Or perhaps a live-service early access lootbox-ridden monatisation monstrosity disguised as a game? Im gonna say this. If this game is real, and Not VR Only or Mainly VR, they are Idiots. You put your headset on, you Launch the game, You you start the game in Mixed reality, You then "Jack in" and bam youre now in the Matrix fighting for humanity. Also, you can have Mixed reality moments where you have to defend your Ship from Squiddies. So in short, Any Matrix game in 2024 or beyond NOT in VR and a Wireless VR is a fail. Meta Quest 2 and 3/PC are also the BEST platform for it due to handtracking, MR and Wireless as well as price point and user base.

NetEase? mmmm.... y'know i think the Matrix franchise is doomed collabing with them. I sure wish this is just single player.... unless they're willing to play with the Meta on the cheaters. (I'd say develop something other than anti-cheat software... something beyond it... like a "Hacker server") NetEase is well known on making hacker-riddled games. they cheat all the time for the sake of speedrunning their progress. Strictly Single-Player should be the safest route if they're doing this game.

I think that a Matrix video game could re-spark interest in the franchise and would be a wise move by WB if the price of producing the game wasn't too high. I also think that they should release the sequel to Animatrix, there would definitely be a demand for that and animation is much cheaper to produce than feature films. As for Matrix Resurrections being a flop, I think some of this was due to the blunder of when it was released. WB should have waited until movies theaters were open to everybody (not just the v@cc!nated) and people were comfortable going to movie theaters again (no longer scared of the big V). I know that most of my friends in Canada were excited to watch it but most of us were rebelling and not v@x'd so we couldn't get into a theater to see it. Also, HBO would not allow us to pay to watch it in Canada even. So, our only choice to see it was piracy, and someone I know threw a Matrix Watch party and about 40 of us watched it together, I suspect this is how many others saw it. If WB waited a year to release it we all would have gone to a theater to watch it, as many others would have too, and WB would have made a lot more money on it.
