Those magnetic project keepers are so nice for charts. I have trouble keeping track on my phone so I always print charts. Some charts I'll just use a highlighter to mark a row once I'm done, but the magnets make my life much easier for charts I need to repeat multiple times.

The scammers are hitting KZfaq in all venues! The knitting bags are so very lovely to me as trees and the dragonfly are two of my favorites. And the fabric combinations, perfection! I am primarily a needleworker: sewing, counted cross stitch and I've become interested in blackwork and loom knitting these last few years. I would watch your podcasts just to see your colorwork, because it is surprising to me and stunning! But I really love listening to your philosophy of life, the card readings, the joy you bring to knitting and your gorgeous voice! So thank you for enriching my life Amy ❤ I was so excited about the color combination for your black, purple & grey but the addition of the stained glass makes it! That is exactly why I watch! The flamingo and turmeric scrunchie looks like a tequila sunrise 🌅 I so want to make a shrug! So I started watching tutorials! You are such a good sister in law❣ I feel hugs when you call us "love". I need that right now💕

Another wonderful episode. You are an inspiration and a terrible influence. LOL Trying to reduce my stash but oh those beautiful yarns and colours from Olann were just too beautiful to resist. I know I won't receive the same ones but I am sure whatever I receive will be gorgeous. One of my goals for 2023 is to read at least one book a month. January's book was Reincarnation Blues by Michael Poore. It is very unusual, humorous and makes you think. February was Black History month so I choose The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin, written in 1962-63 but still so meaningful today. Here in the US it is Women's History Month. I wasn't sure what I wanted to read next so I was thrilled with your selection. It ticks two boxes written by a woman and staring on the Spring Equinox. As I organize my plans for my Spring and Summer knits, your WIPs always produce a shift in my plans. I can't wait to see the finished Cardigan. Thank you for sharing your successes and challenges. I love learning new yarns, techniques and books.

I‘m always looking forward to watching your podcast, thanks a lot. There are so many beautiful knittings you made, and I especially like your version of the Ilya with the little wild part of your colours that makes the yoke looking so alive. A few days ago I watched your episodes of the shawl wall again and now I am so confused not knowing where to start. Knitting one as they are all so wonderful.

I thought I recognised the name on your book. I was watching a Norwegian TV programme called Strikkedilla (unfortunately no English subs as far as I know) featuring Lærke Bagger and Christine Feldthaus. They go on trips in Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland to visit yarn stores, knitwear designers and things like that. They'd try to knit a garment in each location using local yarns and fibres (sometimes quite bizarre to me, such as horse hair or dog hair). It's really nice to see the traditional knitting practices in these places. Maybe we'll have to petition the Norwegian TV broadcaster to start putting English subs on their programmes!

Hi ! Would you mind explaining how to change the raglan increases to eyelet stitch ? Newbie here .. and learn everyday!
@AmyPalko
@AmyPalko Жыл бұрын
Sure! I think I just did a yarn over, k1, sm, yarn over. To keep 1 stitch between the yarn overs. Alternatively you could do a yarn over, k1, sm, k1, and then your 2nd yarn over. Go with the look you like the best! But basically, you’re simply replacing the increase in the pattern with a yarn over, k1.

Amy, are you from Newcastle? I lived in Newcastle for 1,5 years and enjoyed it a lot. As a Norwegian there I recognized quite a few traces of scandinavian culture and words. And I really got well on with the people there, good laughs and good people. As usual you make a lot of nice thnigs, I would very much like to go back to Newcastle, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay where we lived at the time and maybe find some nice yarns there. There were some small cosy shops there.
