What I often do to avoid stretching of the neckline is to make a crochet slip-stitch just after the neck ribbing on the WS. If you continue in stockinette stitch after the ribbing you wil have Purl stitches at the WS. With the crochet you pick up the little bump of one stitch, yarnover, pull through. Continue this way around the whole neckline, not too tight nor too loose. I take the same size or go 1/2 size down for the crochet hook. Hope this explanation makes sense but believe me it works . Thanks again for another lovely and inspiring episode. Vera ❤

I know that I am still catching up with your videos., but I really loved this one. Very touching to hear you talk about spending time with your grandmother and going through old photographs. I wish I still had my nan around - she was a knitter and such an incredible and loving human. One of my favourite people in the world. Sending love.

It would be so lovely if you'd film another podcast with your mother, Amy! I remember how nice it was to see you two discuss your knitting together. I always find it such a joy to watch mothers and daughters in podcasts together (or other family members too). There's just something about the interaction on screen that feels so special to me! Another wonderful podcast, thank you! I love the colours of your half and half. The colour will suit you wonderfully, as does the sweater you are wearing here.

I loved this episode, Amy. I agree about the photos and have been doing the same thing with our photos at home. I used a service called Mootsh to get some off my phone every month and they print them so sweet. We have four crows that come to our feeder everyday for peanuts- they're very sweet. Love your WIPs and FOs. All the best, Kimberly

Oh wonderful! You're going to Rhinebeck! Always fun. I'm gluten free too and there is a fabulous pizza place right in the town of Rhinebeck, very close to the fairgrounds. I always squeeze in one or two lunches there. Good gf pizza is far and few between! So glad Laura has connected with you and the knit night. I know she's having a blast. All the very best, Beth

Your Plum is splendid! Thank you so much for sharing the adventures of starting, stopping, and starting again. It really is helpful to hear that we all have to do that sometimes. I am currently working out what knitting projects to take with me to Moldova and then Scotland. I'm going to work on another Abundance Cowl, for one, but haven't figure out what else to take. I thoroughly enjoy each and every episode. Thank you!! 💛

Hi Amy, Thanks for a lovely, gentle, peaceful podcast, full of inspiration! The Bernat Klein exhibit you mention led me to look him up and see a book his daughter wrote about growing up with him. The See Through House is the name of the book. One day I hope to knit a Junko pattern. Looking forward to your next podcast.

Amy I’m so excited you are coming to Rhinebeck NY, I was planning to skip it this year but because you and Rebecca. Love both of you and wouldn’t pass the chance to meet you in person. Last year I got a little overwhelmed since it was overcrowded because the year before a lot of people didn’t show due to Covid, so everyone showed up last year 😂😂😂Thank you for your lovely videos.

Wonderful episode. Amy I love your simplicity, your self-deprecating humour and the way you talk about your mistakes etc….because yes we all make them 😂. I definitely want to make the half and half triangle shawl. I LOVE m’y Fantastitch and believe it or not it seems to go with everything. Soooo now I want to make another Stephen West Shaw, yes, I've caught the bug 😂… could you please tell what your second favourite was. I have looked at them and some don't speak to me at all…. Sooo 🙏🏻 I love the Plum and will to Ravelry and study it. I have ordered yarn for the Paul Klee…which has been on my list for ages. I have spoken to some of my Instagram friends re Rhinebeck…. They all say ´”you cannot imagine how big it is and how many people there are". Someone said to me take lunch as there are large queues for the food stands..another said she looks on the Saturday and goes back to buy on the Sunday. We are arriving on Thursday and leaving on Sunday. Will #creabea being designing a sweater for the event? 😂 could be fun…. We could all make one and wear it. Sorry for such a long comment but I am so excited bout Rhinebeck and my knitting 🧶 🫶💕🫶👋

A great podcast once again. Talking of Lento's, you may remember some weeks ago I reached out to you to ask if you thought the pattern would be good for a beginner and you very kindly got back to me with some hints and tips. I thought I would let you know that I have finally cast on and am now powering through the body of the garment. I am loving everything about it and it is coming along nicely so I wanted to say a big thank you for all your help and inspiration 😁 x

I went to Rhinebeck for the first time last year. I decided not to overwhelm myself and just went on Sunday. It was still a bit overwhelming. I basically just walked around touching all the beautiful yarn. Lol but I’m definitely planning to go again. And this time I’m going to go with a project or two in mind to get yarn for.

Your podcast is so inspirational! I’m a huge Junko fan and have also, like your mum, knitted two! One got snapped up by my daughter then I did one for my incredibly knit-worthy daughter-in-law and now I’m considering a third. 😮 so many things to knit and so little time!! Love all your colour choices too! And all the woolly wool.

Thank you for your inspiration Amy. I can’t wait to see what you might make for Rhinebeck! I will be living vicariously through your experiences. It would be fun to go with a smal circle of knitters as you are planning I love all 3 of your podcasts I have impaired hearing and find it difficult to follow Rebecca when she speaks very fast… which she does… I watch people’s mouth to fill in what I don’t hear😊😂. More than I realized! I do wear hearing aids. I’m so happy for you moving forward with travel. I really want to travel with my husband again, live each day. Thank you Amy I am grateful for your time.
