This attitude will fail, here's why... In all fields, you will find a group of people that genuinely love their jobs. They aren't forced to work harder than everyone else, they want to out of genuine passion for their work. The attitude expressed by the lady in this video, while "technically correct", could never compete even slightly with someone who loves their job.

The only people who "love their jobs" in places like this are the managers and department heads who get to pass part of their workload on to their subordinates.

Had a co-worker send me a list of things 3 minutes before I would be going home. I started shutting the computer down 10 minutes before end of day, and not answer the phone because she would call to make sure I got it also. It was intentional on her part to keep me later. Nope 👎

I I wouldn't even address her comments. All I would say is "I'm out at 5PM & there's no time for either" and left it at that.

Have you ever thought about the idea of saying boobaloo instead of todaloo ?

If you work for a company and they occasionally ask you to put in some extra work, but you take a strict position of never working outside of an 8 hour day, that may not be good for your employment. If it happens all the time, then it's abusive and I stand by your right to protest. However, if it's only occasionally and you refuse every time, you may not get a very good raise, you may not receive a bonus (or maybe a small one) and you likely won't be promoted. If that's ok with you, I hope it works out.

I used to work with some people who always sent in last minute work requests at 4.30pm and demanded them to be done on the same day. Like whut??? If you felt like it was urgent MAYBE you could send in your request at 2pm and not whine like a bitch when we refuse to do it??

A lack of planning on your end doesn't constitute an emergency on mine.
