3 ай бұрынTom Swarbrick speaks to Nato Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană, who says the UK should prepare for "something close to war."
Geoană notes that the UK "isn't perfectly prepared" for the onset of war should world events lead to such a situation.
The warning comes as the Deputy General says members have "neglected defence" in recent years, leaving countries, including the UK, unprepared.
Pushed on the subject of conscription, Geoană adds: "I think what we have to tell our citizens is, 'Listen, there is a more dangerous world'.

war is profitable for the US and UK. That's why we are always starting wars. now though war isn't profitable as the world knows how to drag out the wars to drain out our economies. Why do you think the UK are so keen to send weapons to Israel, and keep trying to get more funds for Ukraine. It doesn't benefit the UK it only benefits the arms manufacturers in the UK, who control our political parties.

Why did NATO not dissolve when the Warsaw Pact did and the Russians left the Eastern European countries while NATO did not disband, made a commitment to not advance east and then broke its promise. .

NATO did not advance. The ex Warsaw pact countries couldn’t join nato quick enough. Because they don’t trust Russia. NATO is still there because Russia remains a threat . Putin never got over the collapse of the USSR and never made it a secret that he wants to restore what they lost .
