In a movie full of Troll 2 references, you know the OH MY GOOOOD line is coming. So the fact the filmmakers torture you for ninety minutes for that "payoff" and it is delivered that badly is the ultimate bad ending.

I'm actually offended they tried to redo the "oh my goooood" line. I have no idea why. I have no real connection to Troll 2 other than the videos I've seen about it. I've never even seen the whole movie, but for some reason, I felt just a slight moment of "how dare they" when I heard her say that line...especially since she didn't even do it right. lol

I wondered the same thing about Lion King. But it turned out to be the 2nd NC after the Brad ruins Rob's Day. Plus a post revealed it was a del Toro film this week, so more likely Tusk is next week.

The guy who plays the investigator was actually a rather well known actor named Helmut Krauss. For more than 20 years he played a character in what may be the most beloved TV show for children. He was also the German voice for several famous actors in at least some of their movies, including Marlon Brando, James Earl Jones, Yaphet Kotto and John Goodman. He even voiced the Triceratops in all of the Land Before Time movies..... however many there are right now. So that actor is actually not a no-name in Germany. And..... he passed away last year..... apparently shortly after this was released. Now, I haven't seen the German version of this movie, which is actually called Goblin, but I wonder if it is any better.

You're right. I loved Helmut Krauss as Hermann Paschulke in the educational TV show "Löwenzahn". BTW: There are two versions of this movie. One that Eric Hordes actually did named "Goblin - Das ist echt Troll" and this alternative version with Eva Habermann in the lead, named "Trolls World" aka "Under ConTroll". There was an interview with Eric about it where he told the story.

I saw an interview with the director Eric Hordes, who made this movie as a tribute to "Troll 2", not as a sequel. And BTW: It starrs the amazing Hellmut Krauss (who died shortly before the premiere), the German voice of Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman. And I know him as the neighbor Paschulke in the lovely German educational TV show "Löwenzahn". And furthermore this movie even has an inofficial alternative edited version because one of the actors, Eva Habermann, the blonde woman on the cover, felt not to receive enough screentime and therefore just released an own version, which was released internationally. Which is also the one you watched right now. @@The-it7km Launching rumors? I saw an interview Hordes gave the online show "Pantoffelkino" on "Massengeschmack-TV". There he was telling that she requested a reedited version (which is this film and was done without Hordes' influence), which is why she has top billing too and has the producers also as the writers. Hordes first Film only credits himself as the writer. And yes, according to one of the following links she might have more time in Hordes' film, she is not considered as the lead in the film. 04279 Hordes Version is illegal and was never officialy(!) published, most likely because he has no rights at all. I think he’s a deceiver. Also there MUST be a reason why his nickname is the con-man. He told a lot of BS in those interviews you mentioned earlier (Massengeschm). Guess why most of these clips are no longer online here on KZfaq.. Whatever. More interesting than the movie is probably the story behind the scenes 😂

But it was the first story I heard and heard only negateive things afterwrads, I thought that there is no reason not to believe him. Apparently there was also a video of Helmut Krauss saying Hordes version was the original version, also said on the premiere party. But who knows. (or the other party had better lawyers ;-) )

No, as a German I don't care, and I asumme nobody does in the slightest. The only people defensive about the German movie industry are people working in it. Otherwise than that it's mostly Das Booot and some movies of the silent movie era that people may care enough to get mad about. And Killer Condom of curse. Anyway so one single actor had the honor to be in "The best worst movie" and the worst worst movie? That's quite a range.

Wow, A Kung ti Ted cameo (I don't know how it's spelled), here's hoping for a Will-It-Fit Guy reference (seriously, I'm hoping so much) Best reaction (the singing scene), Rob's reaction goes from shock and surprise to a yawn, THat should be the review on the poster "You'll look, you'll see, be shocked, and yawn" Now I know what happened to the troll costume from Ernest Scared Stupid, seriously Big Nose looks like a head with most of the extra pieces fallen off I wish what Brad said was true "the main troll woman story is about 20 minutes, then it keeps going with something else"
