It’s amazing how many regulars try to sabotage new CCAs for no reason or to make themselves look better. Why wouldn’t you want someone to do their job well? It’s crazy.

It's a work culture within the PO. I'm a mail handler at a plant and there's old regulars that do that to MHAs and other regulars. It's a vicious cycle that needs to be stopped.

Thank you nick for the words of encouragement, a newbie CCA here and belive me during my on the job training my trainer left me alone to finish most of his route I didn’t even know saying he didn’t feel good , I was in a town I didn’t know I freaked out ! I got thru it somehow with the lord by my side I didn’t walk off the job which I think he was trying to do , now I’m in my next town over which is less then 10 away and feeling a little better but there is one person that makes my day better and she has been there 17 years , the others not so nice yet , but that’s okay I don’t need them to work 😂 or pay my bills so there loooks and jokes I try not to let get to me and just have faith in the process and myself and god

im a mha.. it's the same in there too. i have one co worker where she has a problem with me. she always talks behind my back and she creates a problem but never say anything to me if there is a problem. the way she talks to me, she acts like im below her. instead of helping me, she finds ways to mess me up. i brought this up to my manager, nothing happens. I am glad that I have few co workers that does help me and look out for me.

Yo Nick, just passed my 90 days as a CCA! Got Satisfactory across the board! Today is my first day off in 9 days. I’m loving it man. The paycheck is definitely worth the BS. I just take it one day at a time.

I always try to help out the newbies because we all have been there before. It is not easy when you already have management on your back and threaten your job. Some newbies take my advice, and some dont. But the worst question is the one that is not asked. Just remember, hang in there because it does get better. If you can survive your first 2 years, you can survive anything at the PO. Good Luck

Yo Nick, understand that this is the easiest job I’ve had in decades. All you have to do is match the numbers on the letter to the address. To go above and beyond, you match the name on the box. If you can’t do one of the other, then be a clerk or Maintence. If you can’t do the basics of the job then leave the job. You’ll make more money at McDonald’s, here in California

I try to educate CCA's on the importance of being safe and accurate and not skipping breaks etc and I do it from a place of "I'm trying to help YOU out" Because those same CCA's will be the ones complaining and whining my route has 100 less stops then theirs when they make regular and keep getting added to. Recently had three entire routes cut from my office because folks skip their breaks and do the job unsafe my band new van got banged up twice by CCA's not being safe. Like just slow down and do the job right is my whole thing. Lot's of respect for the CCA's putting in their time though I don't miss the 60+ hour weeks.

💯 i always treat the new folks with respect. They are NEW. They are learning. We've all been there before. Help make it a better environment for them to work. I will often stand up for them too. I been a regular for 8 years and i always oppose those old farts who seem to be prejudice towards new carriers. Some regulars would belittle a new carrier about how slow they are and i just tell them straight out "They are NEW TO ROUTE, act like you been there before". Power tripping and flexing is lame.

I started a new job 6 months ago because I wasn't getting enough hours so I got a new manager and he said I had to work some Sundays I said if you can guarantee me some hours I will stay. So he could not guarantee, so I'm gone. 3 years they didn't even care but I can always go back

We all carry mail the higher people get on that seniority the goofy they get. And that's true instead of helping or showing tips and tricks to these unique routes they talk bad about them instead. Avoid those people and watch them talk about you while you win. That goes for anyone in that office we here to work not make friends

Even the guy in the academy was a little prick. The guy was with usps for over 30 years and he would talk down to the recruits like he was better. But you put it perfectly when you say “that’s all they have”. Outside of usps these old heads that talk down to the CCA’s have nothing, no girls, no family, not even their dogs like them so they are miserable.

Even regulars on other regulars. It's a shame. We had a supervisor in our office that got reprimanded for fudging with clock rings for a family member that worked in the same office. Was gone for a week and then brought back in. That supervisor literally no one likes because they're always getting carriers in trouble over petty nonsense. Morals of this place suck little pp's. 😂

It happens at all the stations. Carriers do it to each other, but management will complain that the new carriers are too slow to the others. Just stick in there....we are all in this together. Regulars call off all the time and they don't do anything about it. The CCA's and the PTF's carry the station. We've gotten some new hires lately who are in their 50's and getting frowned down upon because they are slow....we had one that quit the same day. Everyone be safe out there, and be kind to one another; we are in this together. Also, carriers, be safe during the eclipse if your state is in the path of it...don't look up to view it unless you have the special glasses. My state will get some of the totality in certain areas; this is on 4/8/24.
