When a customer would be nasty to me I would look them in the eyes with a big grin while setting their plate down and say, "You enjoy that now." Then glanced at the plate and back to them. I never did anything to their food but the mental game was very effective.

I worked at a restaurant, one day we had a woman who "found" hair on her plate. She called over the manager and made a big fuss about it, demanding her entire tables food be free, as well as a bottle of wine and dessert for good will. Manager refused and insisted to her that the long brown hair on her plate was not from the kitchen. She got pissed off and started to make a scene. The manager excused himself and told everyone in the kitchen to stop what they were doing and line up at the table. There were 6 of us. He asked her to please identify the person who that hair belonged to. 2 had shaved heads, 1 had short brown hair, 1 had long neon pink hair another with blue hair, and 1 had curly red hair. She was still upset and said it could have been from one of the servers. My manager replied back that the only person with long brown hair in the restaurant at that time was her, and he was so sure of it that if she wanted to, he would be more then willing to watch the security tape with her to prove it! They paid for the meal. No tip though.

I worked in a resturant in scotland. One night we had these customers sent back meals about 4 times and said a lot of sexiest stuff to the waitress. They asked for a male waiter. Only male in the building was the owner. She went to him crying. Saying she didnt know what to do. He went up stairs , grabbed the coats of the back of their chairs and threw them in their laps. He told them to leave. they said something like "we are customers, the customer is always right." He replied " I'm not taking your money, you're not customers here, Get the fuck out"

One of my friends worked at Olive Garden as a waitress. Some college dude was saying gross inappropriate stuff to her as she was walking around the tables asking people if they need anything. She just ignored him I guess he got sick of her ignoring him and slapped her on the butt really really hard. Without even a second thought my friend whirled around and elbowed him hard in the side of his head practically knocking the guy off of his chair.

I'm B.O.H staff for my mom & step dad's restaurant. One brunch a while back, we had this woman and her friends come in. She's bluntly obvious about being an "online food blogger." Her and her group eat, bill time comes and she tries pulling the "I'm a food blogger can I get something free blah blah" my step dad, over her shit just tells her "the only time I comp any thing for food writers are for legit food critics, not some bored lady with a blog" hands her the bill and walks away. I nearly choked on my water

I had a table of teachers..I was going over each woman's order. One rude lady gave me a condescending look and asked me if I had children. I looked her in the eye and said, " What does that have to do with your order? " She doubled down, asked again..I said, " Ma'am, that is none of your damn business. Is there anything else you need for your order? " The looks were priceless..she didn't dare look me in the eye; I got a sizable tip.

Whenever I had a rude customer I did 1 of 2 things. 1) I would take forever to do anything for them (refill drinks, bring out their food, clear plates away, etc.) Or 2) I would give compliments but in a super sarcastic voice so they would be self conscious (your skirt looks "great", or WOW that shirt is so flattering to your body shape.) So they either had time to reflect on their actions or be self conscious as revenge.

Once had a customer that was letting her kids run around the restaurant and I know everybody else caught one of the little buggers peeing in the fake potted plants we had by the bathroom I picked him up carried him back to the table and let him pee all over her purse and told her to get the hell out we're refusing service to you

My mom owned the candy store, I started working there when I was 16. I was made supervisor/trainer at 18. I was given permission to deal with customers requesting manager. One customer ordered orange julius, left, drank all but a dribble. She came back, and said she didn't order this flavor, could she get the "right" flavor. I told her I couldn't as she had already drank most of the drink. She screamed at me that the "customer is always right, get the manager right now!" I went into the back room, and come back out, and asked how I could help her. She sneered at me and said she wanted the manager, and I responded I am the manager. Then she demanded the owner, so I called. When she answered, I said loudly, "hi, mom, a customer wishes to get a replacement drink for a drink that I got wrong, which they drank completely." I turned around to hand her the phone, she was walking away.

Years ago back in HS, I helped out some of my parents friends in their restaurant. It was a full on silver service, high end dining. I started out washing dishes, moving up to kitchen assistant and when I was 17 I started to learn table service. If you know what full silver service is, you'll understand. Once I was trained I began waiting upon customers. About 2 weeks in I had a customer order Steak Tartare... Now we are told to check that the customer is aware of what they're actually ordering. So I ask him, him wife glances at the menus and says "Dave, did you read the menu carefully l, don't think you will like this" Now this customer was a regular, and the heathen always orders his steak "REALLY well done" he emphasises the really. Our chef always referred to this guy's steak as "sacrilege" So I really wonder why a guy who only has cremated steak, would order a tartare. If you don't know steak tartare is RAW beef steak, finely diced with a RAW egg yolk on top. I love my steak rare, more towards blue than medium. But even I couldn't eat tartare. The guy snaps at me "I KNOW what I ordered, I'm not an idiot, just bring it!" So I go, chef asks "are you sure, did you check?" I say "yeah", I even say "it's for Mr Sacrilegious steak" We are careful with orders for this dish as it is actually a more expensive steak that is used. You can't serve a basic fillet from the grocery store raw, with raw egg. So he prepares the meals, I serve Mrs Sacrilegious (always ladies first) I walk around to serve Mr Sacrilegious. I check they have their drinks, give a tiny bow and leave them to their meal. The Maitre D is the one who keeps an eye on proceedings, watching for customer requirements and issues. He notifies me that there is and issue and guess which table!? So back I go, the husband looks a bit green in the hills, his wife looks annoyed (at him, not me). She says "Dave, has decided this is not the dish for him, is there anyway the chef can fix it? If he can't can he prepare his lordship here a "REALLY" well done steak and he can bill for both dishes, we will take this one for the dogs" Mr S tries to sat something and she snaps at him "no, you WILL pay for both dishes, because you ordered that, you were asked TWICE, you got snarky with our waitress and the mistake was not theirs, it was all on you so you're paying for it, NOT THEM! and you know I despise creating needless food waste.". She did emphasise that her preferred fix was to reserve this fix so the perfectly good food wasn't wasted. So back I go to the kitchen, chef is not surprised at all. He sets about (over) cooking the poor steak, cooks the egg. Puts it all back back onto a new plate for me to deliver. Tbh chef made it look like the original dish, just cooked, he did a fab job. I served the dish and "Dave" starts to eat. At the end of their meal I deliver their bill. I'm stunned when Mr Sacrilegious actually says "i really enjoyed that, I guess I invented a new dish, we should give it a name and put it on the menu... He laughed and said how about "steak sacrilegious" I replied "how about we call it Steak: I KNOW what I ordered, I'm not an idiot, just bring it!?" His wife howled with laughter and said "I like her..." I did see she her make him add more money to the tip. They still came back often, but "Dave" always ordered REALLT well done steak, every single time. His wife tried many different dishes, but he was basic AF.

It wasn't from a waiter but the clapback was too beautiful for me not to share it. I was on a flight and some old guy next to me was being a total douche to the stewardess who kept her service-smile for an impressing amount of time. Then finally, the douche said something along the lines of "And since when do they even let cows become stewardesses?" and that fricking queen said "Ever since they let pigs fly, sir."

Ugh, one time when I was a server - over 30 years ago - this group of drunken losers came in and ordered over $70 worth of food (a lot in 1990s $). These losers also saw fit to unscrew the S & P shakers and empty the contents onto the table then pour syrup & ketchup over it to make a gross, sticky mess that was extremely hard to get off. To top it off, when these losers got the bill, they were short - not 1 or 2 dollars or even 5, but more than $20! As luck would have it though, 3 members of the local police were seated at a table just inside the door, having coffee. When they saw what was going on between the manager and these clowns they stepped up and got involved. The men were told they could have been charged with obtaining food & services by false pretenses under Canada's Criminal Code; however the manager opted not to charge them. She did, however, inform them they were barred from the property and told they were not to come back or face charges, which the cops backed her on. Several times after that 2 of them kept trying to come in and we always had to kick them out again, or the police would be called. They always left without incident but that 1 incident has always stuck out in my head. One of the shittiest moments of my working life.

I actually do know the owner of a restaurant near me....went to school with her. But I would never ever dream of "dropping names" there. It's funny when she comes out to the dining area and sees me, though. She always stops by the table to chat a few minutes. And then wait staff are surprised.... like....who is THIS? Lol

I used to work at McDonald's a few years back, some guy in an audi rolled up like he was hot crap. He told me: "if you work hard enough, you can have a nice car like mine!" My manager immediately yelled from the back: "If my guy works hard enough, he won't have to eat here!"

Husband's colleague at a Michelin restaurant. He was the head chef and knew his stuff. Some blowhard made a big stink that the fish they were being served wasn't from Japan (because he went to Japan so he KNEW what it was supposed to be like). The fish was literally received FROM Japan that morning. Like literally was brought off the boat and to the man's plate in the same day. The chef, who in an out of character way was being patient with him, assuring him the fish was from Japan. The dude wasn't having it and saying he wasn't falling for the lie. Chef said "Okay. Get out. The food up to this point is on us. But you have to leave. GTFO." the man huffed and he and his date were escorted out. High end restaurants like that don't want your money. They just won't serve you.

This comes from my aunt, direct quoting though. “Today I had a customer come in and order their usual, some scrambled eggs with no cheese or pepper. Like always, they complained about it being flavorless, and like always, I told them we could add to the eggs. He wanted them free. Well, I had enough of his bull crap, and said ‘Sure, we can comp it.” and took away his eggs. He starts screaming, saying I was stealing his food, so I said ‘You had it comped.” He continued with his screaming, so I said “Do you want your eggs you cheapskate?”. He left, and I was given a strike, but it was worth it!”

I am the complete opposite. If I get my order and it’s wrong, or not good, I’ll eat it anyway. I know how hard servers work and I feel like a bother to them to ask them to take it back. And yes, I always tip very generously.

My bil had a great clap back once at a costumer at his old job. He use to work for a leasing company and this one guy was arguing about them repoing a tv or something. The guy yelled at my bil “do you know who I am? How much money I make?” And my bil just answered “you’re **** and clearly not a lot or else you wouldn’t be getting repoed”

The hair thing made me flashback to working at a small hibachi place. There was this woman every time there was a long black hair in her sushi. This happened 4 times til the owner finally told her off. The hair in the food was exactly the same length and color as hers. I was the only one with long hair at work and I have bright red hair tied back in a bun. Everyone else who worked with me had the same color black hair as that "found" in the food, but short hair. Main sushi chef (who made these rolls where the hair was found and I was the only contact point between him and her) was completely bald.

Not me but my brother: A customer called him by snapping her fingers. He got close to her, snapped his and said "that's how you call dogs".

This was 40 years ago. I was working in a large hotel kitchen that served three restaurants and a large banquet operation. Anyway, there was this very flamboyant waiter named Chris. Chris was excited because a sugar daddy was spending hundreds on his sugar baby to impress her. Chris is thinking 15% of 600 = BIG bucks. The sugar daddy left him a 5 dollar tip. Chris ranted at the man in front of everyone in the restaurant for five minutes, eventually chasing the sugar daddy and sugar baby out of the restaurant. Chris wasn't even written up.

I was a bartender and I hated it when good looking guys expected extras just because they won the genetic lottery. So I used to wait for their friends to leave them at the bar alone (always happened eventually) before saying, "Man I thought you were really cute but then you opened your mouth." Every time that they would complain to their friends and/or the manager (she and her two brothers owned the restaurant) they would end up getting laughed at.

I had one last weekend. I work at the Wal of Marts, I'm an SCO host, which for those unfamiliar with those, they are the self checkout stations. I'm helping this one lady, when I hear an old man whistle at me to help him. After I finish with the lady, I take my sweet time getting to this old asshat. When I approached him, he asked if I could help him, I said yeah, if you quit whistling at me like a dog. He just stared at me with an oh s*** look on his face. I assume he's like this normally, and he finally met someone who stood up to him.

That's so alien to me... I always go out of my way to be extra polite to waiting staff, always greet them with a smile and try to be cheerful and pleasant (it's not supposed to be their problem if I'm having a bad day). I thought it was the norm... then I started working as a cashier in a bookstore, and learned that people are just assholes.

I used to work in a restaurant in a Texas town known for being the "home of the Indians" I am very familiar with this town many for many many years. I'm originally from Florida. We have reservations and Tribes opposed to there being next to none in Texas. (My condolences to the Ridiculous loss of your land, I am truly sorry) Ok so, this lady walks in and knows I am really new there (unbeknownst to her I'm not new to that town nor surrounding towns). I greet her and rather than her telling me how many may be joining her or if she just needs a table for one she jumps right on in and informs me that the Lance painted over the door is pointing in the wrong direction. Here is how the conversation went. Lady: you know that the arrow is pointing in the wrong direction. Me: (I look at the"arrow". It's a Lance, but I digress) Um no ma'am it's pointing in the right direction. Lady: no it is not! It is supposed to point South because such and such town is the other way! Me: May I ask why think it's pointing the wrong way? (I already know, but all towns people from there were raised to think there way she does) Lady: because such and such town is the opposite direction, restates the name of the town ending with "It's The Home Of The Indians! (She's schooling me 🙄) Me: no ma'am, with all due respect it's actually is pointing North and that's the correct direction. Lady: No! The "town is that way (pointing South) named after a extinct Tribe snd starts to tell me why it's called "home of the Indians) I cut her off Me: You see, I'm from another state and I know what indians look like. They are brown I went to high school here and I know the story. Many claim to "have Indian blood" but everybody that says that are white. (She really not liking me at all at this point, poor dear.) Lady: very surly now and wants me to continue to hear me out so to give me the ole one two, BUT SHE AIN'T READY FOR FREDDY Me: ma'am, my husband is full blood Navajo,. Because of "home of the Indians: type he has a Green Card! You heard me right. He is not not white, but is from the Northern Navajo Seat in Shiprock which happens to be in New Mexico and since that Lance is pointing North that is the general direction of his Reservation. The LANCE is actually pointing more to Oklahoma. Also my home state of florida, which is Southeast, also has Indigenous people living on Reservations. By the way, my husband and I were able to attend one of his Grandfather's funeral with the the man's Sargent in full Kilt playing the Bagpipes for his comrade and best Brother-Friend that he gaurded through out their time in WWII. #1 Rule of Secret Shoppers: DON'T tell the store you are a secret shopper, it's your JOB to shop there and report back to your boss on your experience as a "customer" and the store gets a call/report/grade etc based on your survey. Telling them you are a secret shopper is almost like telling them "bribe me and you'll get a good review"

At my old job I had someone say they knew the owner and he always gave them a discount. The owner was a woman.

When I was in the restaurant industry as a cook, my servers didn't have to worry about getting back at rude customers. They'd just let whichever cook was on duty know which ticket and dish was for said rude customer and we'd always add a little "special seasoning" to it and then sit back and watch them scrape the plate clean. Don't fuck with the people who can mess with your food. That being said, nice customers would always get bigger portions.

I once had a resident yell “Are you going to give us menus so that we can know what we want…” from across the room, while I was in the middle of taking another resident’s order, to which I immediately interrupted by loudly saying “I’M SORRY…Gertrude, what was it that you wanted as a side?” and while I apologized to her (this was a senior home). The resident just stared for a quick second and was like “Well that’s one way of telling me to wait.” Another resident she was sitting with told her “Well yes we never come to this side, and maybe they do things differently here.” I can’t tell you how hard I laughed after I stepped back into the kitchen, and how hard everyone else in there started laughing when I told them what had happened (she was NOT a favorite resident to anyone).

As a food service worker, I feel so vindicated. Especially that first one. So vindicated.

When I worked as a DA in a small county, I got a call from someone who complained about a water patrol breaking their duck pond they made without a permit or water rights. I said the patrol had the right to do it. “Well, we’re going to call the Attorney General on you” the AG came from the town I worked in and my wife worked with his sister. So I responded “Tell him I said hi”

I was a server... couple comes in and sits down. I’m in the middle of taking a table of 6 order. So it takes me a few min to get to them. Once I do, the man is upset that I didn’t get to them sooner. I apologized and asked for their drink order. He continues to complain instead of making his order. He goes on to say they waited 20, (not true), and he knew the manager. Man: this is ridiculous, I know the manger. I’ve been waiting 20 min Me: sorry about your 5-10 min wait, what can I get you to drink Man: is the manger in Me: no, it’s 2 am Man: ima call the manager tomorrow and tell him about your service Me: ok, have fun with that Man: DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO I AM ME: am I suppose to? To me food service was just a nightmare. I worked as a waitress and a barista, both were equally terrible.

The most embarrassed this has made me was me and my stepmom were trying to enjoy a Renaissance Faire and we were excited that there was a juggling act. The juggler was also a comedian so of course my dad had to insult him every chance he could get like it was part of the act while I sank down and look at the performer like "I'm so sorry..." and my stepmom looked at the ground like the good housewife she is for him. He did tip the guy but I felt it wasn't enough for how much he heckled. I'm sure anywhere else we would have been kicked out.

Spitting in the food absolutely happens. I know that for a fact. Used to work in a kitchen and a couple of the customers got the spit special.

I'd like to argue that the customer is never right.

Not a consumer but one night the waitresses were leaving for the night and came back in due to a homeless man outside. Management went to ask him to leave. Homeless guy said the owner was his friend and told him that he could stay the night. He had to back up to look at the sign above the restaurant to remember his "friend's" name. Some "friend" you are Mr. Homeless guy.

There is a small percentage of people who are butt holes just out of habit. It's beneficial to society to do things to change their bad habits. However, there is also a smaller percentage that won't stop being butt holes until they die and sometimes they hasten their own demise due to their behavior. Good riddance to them.

My brother worked at a chain fast food restaurant, and a customer ate his entire meal before coming to the front counter and saying "my food was full of hair!" By some stroke of luck everyone working that night was either bald or had a shaved head, so the "clapback" was just my brother and the other cashier on duty exchanging a long, confused but pointed look. The customer must have realized how stupid the complaint was and slunk off without further comment.

I was once a waiter. If people treated a server bad in general or on a date. They privately got an apology and even bigger tip from me while "going to the restroom". That's a giant red flag for me. I've been happily married for 19 years 2021 so obviously don't date but will still ask "WTF?" and hash it out privately if someone treats a server badly. If it's obvious they are new to the job I tip based on a hypothetical "curve chart". Introduce myself always, and my wife too if we are just dining as a couple. I married well above my grade. She says it was a factor in deciding to say yes to a second date. So....🤷‍♂️ good for us. They aren't mechanically vending machines but flesh and blood people that deserve to be respected at minimum within the framework of the basic human rights we all deserve.

Went to a fancy place in greater DC. The server reminded us that tip was not included. A bit of the slap in the face as we are very generous and cognizant of the fact that severs are valued ,they make the dining experience pleasant or miserable no matter how the food is. Of course you have shitty customers but we as clients also have shitty servers sometimes. If you are a good person I will give a good tip even if the food is not great. Not your fault. A very demanding job.

A guy used to come into a restaurant I used to serve at with a super tacky suit on and he’d often bring 3 women with him. He was a pastor of a local baptist church, he’d order things with a ton of modifications and act convinced that his server was going to screw it up. He’d tip way less than 10% as well, and had a resting face as if he’d just eaten a mouthful of dog feces. One day, a newer server had him. He immediately asked the server “Who did your hair” to which the server responded “My sister” He responded: “So your sister doesn’t love you then?” The server then responded: “Who picked out your suit? Whoever did must despise you.”

"The customer is always right" is an old sales slogan referring to choosing the right product to sell. Like, don't pick a poor product bc the customer is always right with their purchase choices. Has nothing to do with the service industry

Here is a story with a happy ending. So, my grandfather used to own a restaurant until he died. My father worked in the restaurant until my grandfather died. The restaurant is still open. We go to the restaurant years later that most people don’t know my grandfather was a co-owner. We went there recently. And the waiter recognized my dad. Best restaurant experience i ever had there.

this was at a grocery store but still applicable. I was training one of our new hires and she was learning how the deep fryer/cash register worked for that evening, a customer came in and made a big deal about combining two meals to try and get a buy one get one free (I was busy on the other side of the department so I didn't hear the first part) but my coworker came over to me and asked about it. I told her to make the food but I'd handle the customer when he came back, he came back and I started to ring out his food and threw the biggest hissy fit I've ever seen! Called me all sorts of names to boot! I tried to be nice, to let him know his mistake but he was having absolutely none of it and said the magic words, "This is ridiculous! I'm never coming back here again!" Muahahahha "Well sir, luckily for you the transaction hasn't gone through yet so I'll just cancel that for you, I'm so sorry that (grocery store) didn't live up to your expectations, we really appreciate your patronage and hope you have a good rest of your evening." and I grabbed his food and dumped it in the trash right in front of him, his confusion fueled me for the rest of the night

At the diner I worked at, we had an old couple that came almost every afternoon. He was notoriously grumpy, and always asked for an extra side of gravy. One day, the waitress had to make two trips as she only had 2 hands and theyd ordered extra stuff. He angrily asks "WHERE'S MY GODDAMN GRAVY??" When she returned a moment later with it, she said here's your goddamn gravy! The guy actually chuckled! Was less grouchy with her from then on, lol. I think he liked that she gave it right back to him.

When a customer was standing with another older guy asked if i was single, i kept ringing them out and when they were both looking at me for an answer i said "oh i thought you were talking to him" . The one who asked hated me but i became friends with the one who laughed.

I tend to go a little overboard, but miraculously haven’t gotten in trouble. My favorite though, was completely on accident. I didn’t get any sleep, and was really out of it at work. Naturally, as I was practically delirious at that point, I overcompensated by acting over the top cheerful with people in random spurts, between long periods of zoning out. Which is a totally a sane thing to do 🙄 At one point, this guy paid me for his meal, and told me to keep the change. I went from indifferent, to exclaiming “Oh my god, thank you so much, I really appreciate this! You have a nice day!” in the most over enthusiastic and genuinely innocent way imaginable. The guys face fell, which I wasn’t expecting at all. At first he look confused, then he looked guilty. Like full on hanging his head, guilty. I caught on at that point, but didn’t change my cheeriness, or look at the money until I was out of eyesight. The guy left me a 2 cent tip. It was too funny to be embarrassed by my awkward delirium. I couldn’t stop laughing, but was also guilty by his reaction. He didn’t seem like he was trying to be rude. He probably didn’t think twice about it until I responded that way.

When someone says " i wont be coming back" I want some one to say " you promise?" Lol

I work in retail and whenever a customer is rude I "accidentally" tend to forget to get someone to help them for as long as humanly possible just to piss them off because honestly even if I tell them I reserve the right to refuse service they still dont leave me alone

Worked at a little Caesars and had an older guy order a hot n ready pepperoni, he looked at my arm tattoos and asked me what my dad would think about them. I told him he loved them as he was covered in tattoos and had actually bought me my first one as my 16th birthday present on my ribs. He scoffed and left with his pizza angrily 😂

Hey guys, for those who are wait staff and had things thrown at you or on you, what have you done about it? I know a couple of my coworkers who have had food and drinks thrown at them and one of them acted like it was big deal but didn't do anything about it (our managers didn't do anything about it either) and the other one acted like when it happens that it's not a big deal. But the thing is, if someone were to do that to me I'd freak the fuck out and demand my managers do something. Idk if that makes me wrong or what but I think I'm well within my rights to not have something thrown at me or dumped on me and then for people to expect me to continue to serve that person with a smile on my face as if what they did wasn't wrong. What do you do when this kind of thing happens?

Just saying, people who snap their fingers to get a worker's attention deserve to be sharply ignored. Snapping your fingers is okay when you're following the beat of a song, but it's otherwise just rude.

As for the muskoka people ... I went to Greenestone after the late Tob Ford graduated. I think he was there in May and I went in early September. I casually asked some guys if he got up to anything. The answer was very honourable. They said No no no no no not in a million years. Now thats a great example of how everyone should be. I felt bad gor even asking I apologized and did some impromptu therapy by the nightly bonfire. Overall experience good. Would go again if I had to. Osteoarthritis pain guys! I’m not a recreational junkie.

A couple of minutes alone with your food is plenty of time for employees to give your order the special treatment, if you get my meaning. If unclear, watch the movie “Waiting” 👍

If it was me having rude customer I would act calmly and be professional but ill get piss and angry. I like getting nice customers

I don't understand why all common decency and respect just flies out the window the moment someone walks into a restaurant. Like, you are being an arsehole to the people handling your food, you'd think people would want to be EXTRA nice, lest they get a nice big mouthful of something extra in their meal

Love these. The days of kissing customer arse should be long over . It's cringe worthy. I'm not being paid minimum wage to be your verbal punch bag. Your problems are still all yours and nothing to do with me. You need true therapy, not retail therapy! Screw any boss who thinks their staff should kiss nasty ass. Companies with greedy ass money pits for their planes and boats, and zero respect for those on the shop floor aching, sweating, getting dirty handling the stock and being abused for the privilege.

I didn't do it but 20 years ago one of our other waiters had a real bitch of a customer, anyway he had a case of gonorrhea and he pissed in her iced tea
