Can’t believe we are on week 8! You asked, I listened. I am no more anonymous.
Ask, I broke my only tripod few days ago, so please bear with me until the new one arrives.
Other that that- lots of work getting done. We are now just waiting for the kitchen to be finished in the apartment, and have plumbers do some addition work, and we are ready to move right in! Daily work consist of tons of cleaning (windows, stairs). Stairs have been cleaned 3 times already and the water is still black at the end. Also, winterizing and painting windows, decorating here and there, making a plaster appliqué (mg favorite project so far!), and lots of other small things that nobody notices but me. Still on my list: worm wood treatment in the bedroom upstairs on the exposed beam, sanding and painting toilet door, but I think I am almost finished in this apartment! #renovation #loirevalley #movingtofrance #vlog #chateaudiy #countryside #saumur #19thcentury #castle #chateaux #dreamchateau #frenchvillage #french

Hi, Anna. The amount of work is overwhelming, but seeing the results of your efforts are rewarding . Please get a gardener to help with some heavy work, they are charging 12-15 euros an hour. The library is majestic and chateau is breathtaking.

Delightful to meet you in person. It's definitely better to see you. The library is a great space. Make sure you put a weed barrier cloth under the white gravel or you will always be killing weeds in it. Good luck with the roses. It's a unique process and I hope it's a massive success for you.

The grate has to stay. It lets air in . So moisture and water can evaporate.

The library looks like a wonderful room. Keep your cardboard if you want to start dig free gardens, particularly vegie patches. You will be very happy that you have so much cardboard. Plenty of vloggers show how to get started. Especially chateau renovators. Unpacking is such a big job. Interesting rose propogating. I have never seen that before. Look forward to seeing the results. Best wishes.

Hi Anna, glad to see you. I just have one suggestion: the plaster items you made for over the doors are too small. Maybe you can find larger ones to make. Good luck!♥️♥️♥️♥️😘

I'm so glad you decided to come out of the anonymity. Ana, you are living my dream. I've been dreaming about buying a manor house or a chateau and renovate to turn into a Bed and Breakfast ran by me and my husband. I've been watching videos for years and I still don't know how to do it, specially because I haven't taken it seriously yet. Would you be kind to share soe websites where you found your amazing Chateau. I don't know where to start. I'm a licensed Interior Designer, if you need anything I would love to help (I also have a Chanel, but it is in Portuguese) Thank you

Hi there! Honestly, just do it. Make the first step. Some wise person once said that we often complicate things by overthinking, and most of the scenarios we think of only remain in our heads. Nothing to do with reality! I can recommend cabinetlenail.com . There are other websites too, but personally I did not use them so I can’t say anything. Just go to their website and see if there is something you might like. And give them a call. They will tell you exactly what you need to do. They will explain you the process. And even if you don’t find anything on that side, you have made the first step. The only other thing I can think of is try to narrow down to an area where you would like to settle. France is pretty big with different climates, so it depends what you like. But I can tell you for sure, if you are an Interior Designer, you would have so much fun doing this! Best wishes to you!

I'm pretty sure your rosehips are supposed to be ripe, before you propagate the seeds... 😕 Rosehips are ripe, when they have turned a bright orange/red.

I am afraid you are right about this. Only the twig cuttings are starting to have new shoots.
THE big cleanup. How I removed over 40 years of shrubs and ivy’s in 1 week.
