Lots of outdoor work done this past week, and I am happy to reports it’s now all done (except for disposing of it). No more wooden logs or ivys by the Chateau walls. Also, got intrigued by a certain type of a tree that started popping up everywhere, including the terrace and stairs, and it’s called the ‘tree of heaven’. Tried to remove every single stalk of it, few are left- larger ones, but these will have to be removed with the saw.

What an incredible hard worker you are. I can't believe you alone conquer more tasks than a lot of men. Owning a Chateau seems to bring enormous non-stop work. Finish a task 4 days later things grow back again trim weed prune. My gracious you are going to wear yourself out. With that said you are doing so many improvements and it shows looking better for each video.

I think the large bush you are trying to remove is a rhododendron. Maybe one on each side of the steps. Cutting it back won't kill it. It blooms nicely in the spring I think.♥️♥️♥️♥️😘

That’s what I thought too but every time we were here it didn’t bloom, also, people grow them into a very large flower-less hedges here. The one in our driveway is about 10 meters tall (and 10 meters wide). I am suspecting it’s something from a rhododendron family but not quite it.

Wow, you are so hard working and doing so much with the basic of tools! I believe you should be using lime mortar when repairing the stone work to help the building breath. Do you have any help? Frankly you are a bit of a Wonder Woman!

Oh, thank you! I will be getting a lime mortar this week to finish off the rest. These tasks were so small I didn’t mind using cement. Also, once I learn the basic diy skills, I will upgrade to motorized tools, I am still in that learning phase. I am doing it by myself at the moment. Thank you for watching!

doing all the right things, the bushes needed to be cleared. perhaps better to use lime mortar than cement though

Yes, will be getting a lime mortar next week, there is whole lot more work to be done outside than I first thought.

You are working so hard and in the future the grounds are going to reflect that. Please get some battery powered outdoor tools though, because you will get less discouraged when the work goes faster/easier. I would clear your entire foundation area of vegetation because once it's all gone, you're back in control. Next spring you are going to have the beginnings of a great garden and you have all winter to plan it. Aren't these autumn days beautiful to work outside?

Its a perfect weather to be working outside, indeed! I am planning on getting some better tools in the future. Kind of need to learn the basics first, before I get anything motorized. I am very new to any DIY, so it’s a process.
