From reading "The Creature from Jekyll Island", I understand the FED provides all $ banknotes to the US government (the American people) with interest applied, so never "gives" them anything. So where does that extra 10% (or whatever) levy come from? The US government has to get MORE (fiat) currency (not true "money", i.e, gold/silver) from the Fed, with interest applied, which is why it is a debt-creating (illegal) banking system, and can do nothing else but eventually fail in due course, as ALL such fiat currencies have throughout history. That is why I hold some 2/3 of my hard-earned wealth/life savings in precious metals and cryptos, and not £'s.

The GDP numbers will hold up as long as there is currency to spend. The debt servicing costs will start to bite at some stage and the additional loan defaults will start to destroy some of the additional currency created by the expansion of credit.
